^He's right though, other than like a line or two missing, the only things missing from the promo version is the intro and outro, which affects the pacing as you've all said. The intro's pretty dope tbh. But yeah, I counted and the version i have from kisou falls just a few seconds short of 5 minutes. So, its just another standard ballad

The Tour18 song has Toshiya providing backing growls. Kyo mostly sings with his normal voice. Again, fast paced tempo with a slower section in the middle, Kyo growls here. Some crazy gibberish in the latter half. The chorus has this "climax" thingy to it, that Kyo does in some songs. ~3:30 long.

Ranunculus is a ballad. Very slow and melodic.

Can confirm what he said. The song they played in mode of DSS has a very similar atmosphere to the DSS album itself. Ranunculus has a lot of soft ambient electronic bits in the beginning though, mixed with piano most likely played by Takumi, and a soaringly high chorus. Can't wait to hear it recorded.

while ningen was tame for dir, i have to say, i still prefer it way over Utafuckme

at least musically it was more interesting while uta was obviously made to be new concert closer material for kyo to crackle on

whenever people complain about dir sounding the same since like 2012, i always imagine what'd people say if they sounded as stale as lynch lmao

their new album preview legit sounded all like songs i've heard before, with just different notes in the melodies

Yeah, he does do their programming and piano stuff live. He often posts pictures of his rig and setup backstage on whichever japanese social media app (i forget which) and stuff, and kyotaku usually re-posts it, which is where I see it. I did notice in songs like aint afraid to die which i saw last year for the Macabre tour, that the sound was much more organic and less synth-y

I'm glad Ash was given the MACABRE treatment and stayed fairly true to the original with added parts

although, it seems that they're consistently straying from the DSS sound which makes me lowkey sad lol

Honestly, thank fucking God. I know they warned people not to get too speculative about kannivalism coming back and that it's a one time thing because Sukekiyo is performing anyway.....but cmon. BAROQUE nowadays has become a shell of its former self. I need Kannivalism to come back with some more Helios goodness
