Hakari reacted to ArtFart in Last movie you saw.
I watched It Follows.... it was a very frustrating movie about a friggin STD ghost that walk hunts you and you basically get rid of it by having sex with someone.

Hakari got a reaction from ArtFart in Last movie you saw.
It follows was ok at best. Besides the opening scene which was very awesome. I found myself waiting for the film to get good. The "ghost/monster" was an interesting premise and had a lot of potential but the whole pool scene at the end was waste mcwasterton.

I love me some Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, and having Slayer playing an older, brutal track is unexpected, but awesome. Fucking Gary Holt, man. What a man! He really gets the job done. Amazing!
Love me some Jimmy Fallon. Great guy!

Hakari reacted to A--Sickness in Hello (From dead Batsu.org)
Hi,
Is there anyone from Batsu still on here?
I can't believe how long it's been since I listened to JRock.
I only just found out about Isshi from Kagrra and had nobody to 'mourn' with.
How is everyone?

Hakari reacted to Komorebi in Your last music-related buy!
Well... while in Japan I got about 20 Acid Black Cherry CDs, around 25 Kagrra, a few new releases from Diaura, D, Morrigan, Jiluka and The Sound Bee HD, some Gotcharocka and Ayumi Hamasaki CDs and a shitload of magazines amd flyers.
About 20-something kg worth of VK.

Hakari reacted to Seimeisen in Your last music-related buy!
Two DEG albums, MUCC's latest album, MERRY's 個性者ブレンド・クラッシック (picture disc, legitimacy is debated; pic discs sound like garbage), a few singles by cali≠gari, that's pretty much it.
It's too bad VK doesn't embrace vinyl. With their "50 type releases" business model, I could see them doing a wide variety of different colours to go with different types. And they would most certainly do live-limited vinyl colours, just to be extra cunty.

Hakari got a reaction from emmny in TRACES VOL.2: Can You Hear a Difference Between iTunes Store and Hi-Res?
I listen to my music by cassette only.
because trVu kulT quality. All other forms are obsolete.
But in all seriousness I couldn't hear a difference In the two types. Probably because I haven't listened to either one.

Hakari reacted to Tokage in Anyone else getting over VK recently?
Oh, hell yeah, I'm not trying to say that "generic, derivative flavor of the month" bands haven't been a part of the VK scene since its inception or anything. I mean, hell, that sort of stuff is common in just about every music scene. For example, take some of the late '00s indie acts Pitchfork hyped up to hell and back (like Sleigh Bells, Wavves, Yuck, Surfer Blood etc) that have at this point basically almost entirely vanished from the public eye..
In my personal case it's just that this stuff doesn't connect to what I'm currently looking for sound-wise, both the saccharine pop rock & the brutal core music that seem to dominate among the shit-to-mid tier bands have pretty much never really been my cup of tea, so it's only natural that at some point one starts to gradually float away from the scene in that case tbh. I'm not gonna entirely ditch it tho, VK's played an important part in shaping my musical taste, just can't really be assed to listen to 50 more bands that desperately wanna sound like Dir en grey or Dezert or w/e when I can just listen to the real stuff

Hakari got a reaction from suji in Your last music-related buy!
I was thinking about this the other day. I don't think I have almost ever seen a vk band press anything on vinyl.

Hakari reacted to Seimeisen in Your last music-related buy!
MERRY not ever pressing anything on vinyl is criminal. This applies to pretty much every good VK band, though.

Hakari reacted to Biopanda in Zin's (of Jupiter) new side-project: U•S•A
Oh man I can't wait for America-Butt-Rock-kei to take Japan by storm. Now that VK bands with French and German names/themes are worn out, we need some good ol' MURRICA worshiping.
