I forgot how bad a lot of the Hip Hop from between 2007 and 2011 was. Specifically anything relating to Lil Wayne, Drake or Nicki Minaj. As a 7 to 11 year old, hearing it on the radio, it just annoyed me a little. As an adult who can actually comprehend the lyrical content, the beats, etc., it's even worse now.

My partner is playing Dying Light and it's supposed to take place in Turkey, but it's such a bad representation of it that I came up with this reaching explanation: It's a highly gentrified part of Turkey that was taken over by Arabs, Russians and Americans so people have Arabic names, speak English with Russian accents, and the buildings and businesses are in English.

Seriously though, what part of Turkey looks like a Brazillian favela?

I just remembered this one time, in Nashville, I went to a Mellow Mushroom Pizza where they had live music, and this country band decided to just start covering Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg songs... but still singing like a country singer with the heaviest redneck accent you've ever heard.

Like... stop. Just rap the parts normally. Or just stay away from covering 90's Hip Hop if you're gonna use that accent. A UGK song, or Three Six Mafia song would be WAY more appropriate for that kind of accent... but not Snoop Dogg.

But really, if you're gonna do everything with such a heavy hick accent, and bro-country sounding compositions... you might just not wanna touch Hip Hop at all

Burmese Hsaing-waing music is like if you took Thai piphat but made it progressive and technical. It's full of tempo changes and weird time signatures.
