Koichi, what is that

I know that. It's that the first and second kanji of each names are homophones, resulting in identical romanizations.
That's why I remembered of Kiryu.

I've checked out a few videos and random songs (notably their first mini album and single) from DADAROMA before, but wasn't too thrilled by what I heard there. Thought I'd give this huge album a try, maybe there are some cool bits in there. Well... I'm still unimpressed.
 
How should I put this? The songs have some really cool parts now and then, or a certain groovy sound that pops up during a section or two, but as actual songs they feel too samey and safe. There's literally nothing that stuck in my head afterwards (if not the fact that most tracks are a minute or two longer than they should be). It's music played with style, the execution sounds good enough (even if most 'heavy' stylings come as the dumbed-down versions of something otherwise cool-sounding), the vocalist and the instrumentalists clearly know what they're doing, but what they're doing isn't too exciting. After a few tracks I really struggled not to zone out completely. Next thing I remember is I'm already at the last track... I noticed cuz the cringey wailing next to the piano was a new element, lol. I guess in the end it served a good purpose as 'whatever background music'. Sadly, I didn't find much catchiness or replay value in it.

I love the sound of this one. I'm glad they kept up nice releases for all three of these.

Just popping in to offer some more positive feedback about my experience with the V Star webshop:
 

 
The web store experience itself was wonderful... it's such a joy to be able to buy some VK stuff from Japan without any extra, mandatory paypal steps, or getting emailed shipping quotes after the fact. At V-Star I could just enter my credit card info (yay my credit card doesn't charge foreign transaction fees!), pay for shipping right then, and that's everything.
 
My CDs were packed well... and I also got some flyers and a handwritten note too!

I started working with BLAZE in the later half of 2015, although I originally made the decision because of a personal friendship and believe in one of the members, I saw potential in BLAZE.
 
a lot of things changed in a short time, and sadly BLAZE became a band that would never live up to all that potential.

we at V STAR, and myself personally, wish all members the best of luck in all of their future endeavors, no matter what they may be.
I hope I can take photos for them again sometime in the future~!

Because of Youkai entertainment, a company that re-releases j-rock CDs here in Brazil, this album was put to sale on a physical book store chain. Saw it on the store and bought it.
I hope I can buy many more j-things in the future. ~sighs and looks sadly at CDJapan's website~
 
There's another thing that I wanted to say, but, since I didn't buy it, I wasn't writing that. But I turned back and will tell the story of this album.
 

 
It's called "Classics III: il amore", the singer's called Cristiano Nichelle (pronounced "nee-shelly"). He's a brazilian singer that covers old songs, like Charles Aznavour's "La bohème". It was his third show he made in my city, and I attended to all of them, after the show, I entered on the dressing-room with a pamphlet that was distributed at the entrance of the venue it's cool when your aunt is a big fan of him and is part of the staff and I asked: "since you don't have a CD to sign, could you sign this pamphlet for me, pls? " He smiled at me, took from a box, signed and gave a CD to me.

Hello everyone,
My name, or at least the one I go by, is Seth.
I'm a student and musician from Ontario, Canada. I love all sorts of Japanese music, but particularly J-Rock hence my interest in joining this community to hopefully stay current and discuss the music I love with other fans.
While I study computer science in school, with a minor in Japanese, my dream is to become a musician or composer, particularly, as unrealistic a dream as that may be for a Canadian, in the realm of J-Rock / J-Pop.
I play sing, play guitar, drums,  Saxophone, and a bit of violin which I may or may not have picked up as a result of my infatuation with TK's use of strings in tracks like Unravel.
Though I am more familiar with what I would consider "mainstream" J-Rock, I do enjoy Visual Kei bands such as The GazettE, DIV and MEJIBRAY. I get the impression a lot of you are particularly Visual Kei savvy, which is fine as I'd love to improve my knowledge of the genre, though I like that all the same I do see a lot of variety around the site and hope that you'll accept my musical openness. (I'll try not to profess my love for Nishino Kana and FLOWER  as openly to stay on topic with the rock music. Can't make any promises for Eir Aoi  and LiSA though. They rock hard enough for me.)

Thoughts: This was pretty boring. I dead ass thought i was listening 2 the chorus for the entirety of the song. 
 
At this point, its clear that Mejibray is very complacent with just milking as much as they can solely on their looks and sticking to their core, and hella basic sound with little to no growth at all. And meh, just like GazettE and Lynch, and other bands that i enjoy (but have actually  gone out of their way to show some effort in evolution), this is something I'ma have to come to terms with even though they still are fairly young. It would be nice to see them take it a step further but after poking my head their material this past year or so, its def certain this is not happening. 
 
But i will give them some cred because in the midst of what seems to be nothing but a compilation of lackluster and uninspired material, they have SOME tracks that have made me raise an eyebrow and nod in approval.  

I hope the music will match that over-the-top pic, haha.
