Oh yeah, team Dim over here. It's Stacked Rubbish with a bit more mature approach. Like, Agony is/was the epitome of Ruki's absolutely fucking awful English, and it's not even cute or funny, it's embarrassing. Hyena is the shit though.

It's all about Madara. Nil is fine, but songs like Nausea & Shudder and DLN drive me nuts because they're like 6 minutes long and don't go anywhere. Can't stand when half a song is just the chorus repeated over and over again.

I really don't think blu-ray in and of itself is expensive to make. It's just a high definition format that holds more data than a DVD does. The only real benefit to releasing a concert on blu-ray is you can cram all the content on one disc instead of having 2 or 3 DVDs. Unless the concert incorporates tons of visuals, being in HD doesn't make too much of a difference.

The self-titled from 2007 was so good, and I felt like Satoshi had an excellent "metal voice", especially in song s like "stupid". Then after that everything went south. It's a lot like Nightmare where they release one fantastic album and then fail to follow up on it. They're clearly catering to a specific audience, but I'm not a part of it.

I was wondering the same thing. It's like everything with growls and rhythmic riffs in low tuning is Dum Spiro Spero. I didn't even think DSS when I heard these samples, but I definitely think Satsuki latched on to the current "djent" trend. I don't know if Satsuki is "well off" though. RES never went major, and I'm doubtful that he's been super successful since going solo. Not that money should matter, because MEGIDDO and all the post Bottom of Chaos singles sounded great. It's really just about how this stuff is mixed, and shitty mixing has been a trend in music world wide for a long ass time.

To be honest, i would rather just have RES back, but I think Takumi and Mika are far better utilized in Sukekiyo. I mean going by what Satsuki has released since he went solo, it's clear that Takumi was the mastermind. Satsuki wrote Ichigo Oblaat, though, and that song is bad ass.

Apocalypse title track tells me Satsuki has heard Tesseract.

This winter is almost over, so... next December? If that's the case, why announce it now?
