coming from a long time sufjan fan (disclaimer: havent heard the new one) its kind of an acquired taste tbh. if you go into it with the mindset that indie rock/folk is annoying then it'll probably annoy you even more. i was a huge fan when i was younger so im a little too jaded to revisit his stuff really frequently but i think sufjans stuff is amazing when you look past the indie-isms ya feel

are we forgetting the ruki / swastika beef? bruh i aint even heard of this aoi tweet, besides ruki is the devil so i mean literally screwing with too many fans and being a dick to fans LOL i was surprised too until i read it on an eng tanuki blog. i havent gone into detail but there are pages and pages of his drama esp how he treats mitsu he seems so pretty and innocent which is the funny part LMFAO i'd probably still throw my coins at him but i'd hate to be involved with him otherwise. its a shame i cant read japanese because i'd love to read further into it, but even a quick search gives u topics upon topics and we can safely assume its not his music they're discussing ^.^

D‘elsquel, one of Ryo’s (9GBO) first bands. They had an amzing goth rock-ish sound. Then there are babysitter, dummy children, Lustair, MONAURAL CURVE, Syster and Kresh End who are all very similiar to the bands you mentioned. And of course other groups from Nagoya, such as early Fanatic Crisis, CROW SIS, Gilles de Rais or Lakshana. But not sure if you like them, since you find ROUAGE too poppy (maybe try out their self titled debut album? That one was a bit darker than Bible)
