    yeah im not a fan either because they play like 90% of arche where in the unravelling tours they had a more ecletic mix of random old songs, remakes, stuff from dss and uroboros which was heavy and crowd pleasing. even in the DSS tours it was split between uroboros/dss a lot more than their current tour.

    Yeah yeah. Go on ridiculing Kyo, but let me tell you one thing. You don't understand him! You all don't! I know his soul, I translated every lyrics of him, I studied every interview. Don't talk about him like you know his pain!

     

    I just can't understand how you can call yourself a "fan" if all you do is making fun of him! He never did anything to you, why do this to him?

    I listened to them after mostly swearing off any vkei that wasnt associated with the """"""art-kei"""""" movement/sound but i really like them. their nu-metal is biting and not remotely cringe worthy and they have a huge variety in the music they play, and its all kind of weird/disordered which i really enjoy. overall they're really fresh and anything thats weird is worth being listened to rn considering the current state of vkei.

    i didnt hear any copy/paste dir en grey but just some cool old school+metalcore which is pretty cool; im happy i gave 'em a chance because that was surprising good!!!! i hate kyouki's vocals though

    hey i am new here in these kind of things...but i started listening japanese bands many years ago (maybe in 2008 or something ) so iam a little bit old (23 It is old?), not much about my life just the regular slave work lol.

    i listening mostly bands like Deadman,The Studs,Kagerou,Cocklobin,Tossin,9Goats Black Out,Gullet,Be=Luna,Emmurée,Merry Go Round,9mm Parabellum Bullet, Art-School and many more short bands :3

    now are bands that seem quite interesting for me like The god and deaths stars,The Nobembers,MONO,Toe,Té.

    i love manga/anime too and nice to meet you everybody!

    $1000 for a julius jacket is a steal

    the regular price version would probably go for 2-3k+

    i'd buy it regardless of whether my beloved kyo-sama wore it or not--but i dont got 1k to spend on a jacket :(

     

    ps: i hope dir en grey keep distancing their j-rock fans with weird music and pauses in activity so there will be less annoying people at the shows trying to hear the fucking vulgar songs/fuck the band

    considering the members are almost 100 years old i dont blame them for stringing out their releases/tours. it must be a little boring playing in a band after 18 (!!!) years, besides since the band **allegedly** hate each other then i'd see little incentive to do more than the minimum required to maintain their profits/keep their label satisfied.

    dir en grey are an albums band but they have some skippable songs on macabre, kisou and vulgar that do nothing for me. past that (marrow of a bone never happened) they've been getting much better and more consistent, producing 2 albums (uroboros & DSS) that can easily topple some of the best western metal albums of that year.

    gazette have some exceptional singles and catchy music here and there but i just see them as a "guilty pleasure" kind of band; nothing comes close to the overall consistency of dir en grey. but i think gazette's best songs (chizuru, calm envy, taion, DLN, cassis, filth in the beauty, to dazzling darkness etc.) give some of DEG's best a run for their money.

    OH also uruha is one of the best lead guitarists in visual kei i fucking love his style of soloing, its so beautifully effortless

    so there's no contest DIR EN GREY take it!

    Gackt is literally the most problematic. His response to the rape accusation was to discredit the woman, say that he is the true victim and get his stans to attack her.

    This season feels weird. There are some queens I like, but none that I'm genuinely rooting for as much as I did for people like Bianca, Adore, Jinkx, Latrice, Raven and Sharon. Katya is by far my favorite though (I like her better on YouTube and social media than on the show itself), followed by Ginger. I'm starting to warm up to Violet and don't really care for any of the others (still think Pearl and Fame should've left ages ago). The challenges this season are crap, so that might be playing a big role on how I feel about the whole thing. Big hopes for the Reading is Fundamental section next episode though!

     

    I hope Trixie doesn't disappoint and adds something good to the rest of the season.

    i kind of agree cuz like i stanned the life out of bianca and adore too and its taken a while for me to find my favs this season; im so conflicted about violet and pearl tho

    my jaw dropped all the way to the floor when trixie was eliminated

    but now the competition is so tight idk who'd she be able to send out
