Haha lol. I had a scary drive during work. I work at a pizza place and was out on a delivery when it really started to snow. The house I delivered to was at the bottom of a hill and on my way up I thought I was stuck.

Love the fact that they can play FOUR shows in a tiny place like Bellingham, WA but no... they obviously can't stop in Albuquerque, NM on their way between AZ and TX because there's only a minuscule 500k+ people there.

In my case... I got in to VK at a younger age as well. Now, I buy all the releases of the bands I really like. But before, Clearly I wasn't old enough to have a job and I had parents who limited my internet usage and websites anyway. So if it wasn't for downloads, and those blogspots I wouldn't have even discovered visual kei in the first place. But I think it's nice for them to source where they recieved the download from simply because not everything is uploaded to just one site. There's downloads here that i couldn't find reposted anywhere else and then there's some downloads I could only find on certain blogspots. I don't care for credit to the actual uploader, it's not a difficult thing to do. When I password protect my things it's not because I MYSELF want credit, I just tend to make the password like "monochrome-heaven" or something so if the link is reposted and not reuploaded, at least people have to enter that password and wonder where it came from. idk. I figure it'd just help more people direct to one area. 

 

I agree nothing will stop people from sharing. I just really disagree and hate the mentality that people who don't create things expect artists to do it for free. 
 
I do wish there was more discussion about music. I feel like that's one area sorely lacking on MH. The only artist topics that seem to stay afloat is the Dir en grey circlejerks.
 
How many people are listening to KAMIJO's and Jupiter's new release yet there's barely any discussion regarding the actual releases. Except for a few posts in a review thread, it's pretty sad. I guess can always troll the Last.fm page but trying to have a discussion in the shoutbox is a joke.

Well hmm, regarding discussion before, I can kinda get point of not liking to share much stuff because of blogs, not like band members likely really would like it at all anyway etc. so kinda fair enough. Though honestly I don't really see it completely same way myself. It would be about time to wake up to modern age anyway, sharing music happens all the time, deal with it. I think anyone should be smart enough able accept that fact but I guess it just might be complete opposite still judging how it would seem people feel about their stuff being shared etc. So maybe it is just me with some stupid thought pattern like this then : .
 
Besides I feel for small bands it might be more useful just to get as much visibility as possible, I find it quite hard to believe release being on the internet blogs would have that much affect to their sales anyway (not that I believe them to increase them either really) People will buy stuff from band they like and not buy stuff from band they don't, that's how it goes for the most part and it goes even more so in with small bands. Besides CD sells aren't exactly the most important thing for these bands either, it is all about gaining loyal fans who buy chekis and other crap, so I don't really feel it should make that much difference if stuff is shared or not.

Those blogs are partially the reason I don't share. I don't want to be associated with all those reposts all over Google. I listen to mostly small indies bands and these guys probably Google themselves so seeing their latest release the second or third result on Google probably doesn't make them very happy.
I have shared older indies kote kei stuff which probably ended up on Evil en Lucifer but I don't mind. Those bands broke up over a decade ago, their material out of print and are long forgotten. So those items being reposted don't bother me, but I would prefer it be reuploaded.
I think once one of those blogs sniped my hosted image so I replaced it with Goatsees and they had that on their front page for a day or two. That was hilarious.
