Yeaaah xaax, Minus, GAGA, and Ensoku 5ever. Literally none of this comes as a surprise to me. haha 心中 is also probably my favorite release of the year along with コワイクライ, though ララララ is my favorite xaax song.

I did notice that, but I feel like if they're gonna try on some late Lycaon-esque classiness they better put a dumpster or a garbage pile in the background to balance that shit out, you know what I mean?

It's a good look but I don't feel like it suits the band. It's too.... classy? for lack of better words. Them looking poor/like garbage is part of their charm.

I hope she makes a quick recovery. Foot injuries suck in general but it must suck even more for a drummer. Nama's a girl btw.

I agree with anakuro. I don't see the problem with them releasing a compilation album so more of their fans can buy their music considering a lot of their releases are sold out. Plus there's 名も無き空へ and ララララ as well as 鬱くしき雨音 . Calling it a "best of" may be misleading, but them releasing an album like this is not unreasonable. Nevertheless, looking forward to all of this! Can't wait until they announce instores.

I got my BA in Japanese in May. I also have a background in linguistics but I didn't want to take the extra credits to do a minor or double major. I landed a job in Japan so I'll be moving there in a few months.

Yuki Tokei is fantastic. Tulip is fun but I'm not a fan of the weird sounds?/voices? that remind me of Alvin and the Chipmunks in the chorus. Waraitai kedo Waraenai is ok until the weird gap of silence 3 minutes in only to have the song end chaotically/with Kazuki coughing his lungs out a minute later. They could've just ended the song at 3 minutes.

And then there's Tara. Also Icchi and his hobby of starting bands only to "retire" 2 or 3 years later. Too many cursed bandomen for one band to handle.

I've been waiting for someone to make a Love Live thread on here. Yooooo Anyway, Love Live is not at all the type of thing I'm typically into but I am officially in school idol hell and I'm pretty chill with it Nozomi is my favorite girl with Maki in a close second but I also like Kotori and Eli. The general consensus among the fans in Japan is that they broke up to leave Shimizuya Records and their shitty management. Of course, no solid proof, but I definitely believe that considering their shady business practices. Also I'm pretty sure Izumi forced them to pump out another single last minute to further cash out on their disbandment despite being overworked for months. Izumi is one greedy piece of shit. He even raised the price of cheki at the last live.

I doubt that they'll release new material considering Kazuki wrote almost all of their music, but I'm ecstatic that they're back for another tour. I was actually planning on going to one of their shows at Zepp Tokyo 3 years ago but couldn't get a ticket. Fingers crossed I can make it to at least one show this time.

It's so weird to hear that Meguru changed his stage name after like what, 15 years? Regardless, I hope this means they're going to have more lives in the future. Meguru and Devil in the same band has got to be epic

I honestly can't imagine Vivi in a band like DEZERT but he's a good guitarist so no complaints here.

Looking forward to the DVD. Perhaps I can make it to the oneman at Area as well.

^ That's exactly what I'm thinking. All of my friends who went to the live said it didn't feel like a last live at all. No mushy speeches, no tears. I'm sure if they don't come back as ALSDEAD they will form another band with the same members. Japanese fans are also speculating that they might be leaving visual kei, which I honestly wouldn't mind, but of course this is just speculation.

Maki just updated his Twitter. Seems that they do plan on coming back "To all our fans outside of Japan, thank you so much for the wonderful Flowers and message cards. Because you guys were here for us, ALSDEAD was able to go on for 7 years. We wanted to go perform in all of your countries, but we couldn't. So please forgive us. When we come back, we will make a band that will be able to go to the places you wish to see us. so until then, please wait(・ε・｀)"

I'm really sad I wasn't able to go but I honestly feel like they will come back. Until then, I'll be patiently waiting for the DVD. All of my friends who went said it was a fantastic live.

I second Shounenki and Kalafina. Normally I'd agree with Scapegoat but that song doesn't really engage me like the rest of their music. Some of my additions: ザアザア - もうすぐ雨が降るから 死にたい isn't my favorite release from the band but I quite like this track compared to the others. 闇 is pretty good, too. マイナス人生オーケストラ - 見捨てられマン えんそく - USJ 脱法ニュウラライザー is a really great release besides the main track of the same name but these two songs are my favorites. ギャロ - SUCCUBUS (remix) Gallo distributed a CD with remixes of INCUBUS and SUCCUBUS to A ticket holders at their O-West oneman on 9/11, so it's not an official release but I'd like to include it since it came out this month. INCUBUS is very... reggae? With ocean sound effects? It's kinda weird and not for me. But SUCCUBUS sounds straight out of Final Fantasy VI. It's 1000x better than the original in my opinion.
