Has his voice always sounded so... whiney and bored at the same time? lol, kinda weird. I dig most of the instrumentals tho, giving me that early '90s vibe (except for the ridiculously plastic-y production that sucks the life out of it all).

Couldn't agree with you more. New Onmyou-za is always a treat and I thoroughly enjoy both their consistency and each of their releases.

I remember hearing Kouga Ninpuchou way back when I was an un-learned weaboo and it blew my nerdy socks off. This album is no different – It's got plenty of power, and a lot more Matatabi than usual. Whereas I can get a little 'sick' of Kuroneko's vocals after repeated listening, he never gets old for me. There's just something about his very samurai-esque voice that works so well with the music they make.

Quoting myself but what a surprise to see that even in the MV Spot the bassist is not playing a single accurate note, her left hand is barely even moving, while the drums, guitar and lip-syncing is actually accurate.

I can't shake the idea off that this is a giant prank. 

His voice is uncanny valley levels of unfitting for his appearance. Also, this would fit right at home in a cringe compilation of weeb videos from 2006.
 
Okay yeah this has to be a joke because his singing in the video on the first page of this thread is entirely different. He's oshare-ifying the fuck out of it for this project or it's dubbed, lmao.

The drummer from the Kamijo-produced band MU has great English! I was blown away when he suddenly bust out in English here.
 
 
 

YOU, the bassist from THE SOUND BEE HD, speaks English fairly well. Her English isn't perfect, but she has translated for the band during interviews/streams before, and you can message her on Twitter and stuff and she'll try to reply in English.
 
I think she mentioned when they appeared on a variety show that she was a flight attendant before joining the band, so maybe that's where she picked some of it up?
