This is surprising, he's one of the founding members but I imagine after 18 years he's probably tired of the scene. I do wonder how the band will progress because whilst they've had a lot of departures this leaves them with only two full time members in Yudai and Ryo.

I wonder if this has to do with their decision to dig up their old music and rehash it out with Ryo. Most likely, though, he's realized that due to the current situation, being in a band can't support living and you can't be wishy-washy with Crystal Lake as they're teetering on the height of their popularity. He'll be missed and I'm glad I got to meet him, at least.

It says "pause activities", not "depart", so I think the idea is that he'll take a break and come back eventually? The wording they used doesn't make it sound like he wants out permanently.

I think he may be worried about getting sick, too. Or he's just going to pull a Nolly (from Periphery) and be a member of the band in recordings only.

Well thats good to hear honestly the band is doing really well including outside of Japan. Can't wait to see what that exciting news is
