Original Saku 1593 Posted September 17, 2016 yeah the new Berserk anime was enjoyable, but the animation style was okay at best and the adaption itself had some issues. Skipped scenes and Arcs and it wasn't gory or dark enough compared to the manga. Still nice to have something, I hope we get movies that cover the black swordsman arc like we did the Golden Age arc, since that art and animation style is definitely superior and also they had more gore and nudity going on. This Dragon Ball Heroes bullshit is just milking the fanboys' fantasies and making fanfiction come to life (like SSJ3 Broly/Trunks/Vegeta, & random godawful fusions???? The fuck????? Original Saku 1593 Posted September 30, 2016 (edited) 91 Days is easily the winner of this season for me, such a good drama/thriller story. It kept me on the edge of my seat almost at all times, and I really ended up caring about most of the characters. Prohibition mafia anime done right imo. Mob Psycho 100 comes in as a close second, just because I love One-sensei's works so much xD Honestly I think I might have enjoyed Mob more than One Punch Man, even though OPM has the superior action and animation. Mob just has so much charm and Reigen-sama is literally one of the best characters ever Still watching Alderamin and it's pretty great, waiting on the last episode right now.... I wish it was a 2cour so bad Oh and of course re:Zero ended and now my life is so empty.... jk Honestly though, I don't think I've enjoyed or obsessed over a show so much in ages, and it feels good. Ito 2438 Posted October 5, 2016 Just finished Re:Zero, Space Patrol Luluco, and Flying Witch. Re:Zero was a fucking mess. I'm shocked I managed to get through it all. I could rant for probably a solid hour as to why I think this show is bad, but I will spare you all. If you enjoy it, you enjoy it. Luluco was a fun in a brainless sense. Honestly, I think the gorgeous animation is what kept me around. Flying Witch was fairly boring. I had been watching this one with my fiancee for the first few episodes, but I downgraded it to a before bed show because it helped put me in a sleepy mood. Literally nothing happens in this show. Deathtopi4 428 Posted October 7, 2016 These past anime season has just been too emotional for me lol. 91 Days: AMAZING, HEARTBREAKING, NOW ONE OF MY ALL TIME FAVS. I cried a lot. May or may not have bought the novel version. Maybe I'll be able to actually read it in a few years, haha... D.Gray-Man Hallow: It was so beautiful I'm so happy they made this. Alma ark is my favorite ark so I was thrilled to see it animated, and again, I cried a lot. Mob Psycho 100: Excellent animation, Mob was adorable, and they made Reigan cool?? lol I loved it. Binan Koukou Chikyuu Bouei-bu Love! Love!: This anime is so stupid and so funny. Loved it. Bananya: Best anime ever hands down Also, good OVAs recently! Ancient Magus Bride was absolutely beautiful, I can't wait for the next two episodes. The Durarara!! OVA was great (Izaya took fake Shizuo out for a date haha) and the Sakamoto OVA was pretty cute. Haven't had time to actually watch anything that's already aired but this season I'm planning to watch Ajin 2, Bungou Stray Dogs 2, Kiss him not Me (I've been waiting years for this holy shit lol), and probably Yuri on Ice because I'm told it's breaking the scale of gayness in sports anime, and Gakuen Handsome. I just worry about Drifters since we all know what happened last time Kouta's manga was translated to anime form before he was finished. The Great Passage is possibly the only other show that has my interest...that said, it it might be a balancing act with the maturity that I am hoping it has and also it not being boring lol. YES. Shigatsu is slick one of my favorite series from the past few years, it is so enjoyable and has really good believable moments and interactions between the characters. A must watch if you are a romance/slice of life fan and a piano nerd.
