Kaye 296 Posted September 15, 2010 Takeshi Hosomi (Ellegarden) Taka (ONE OK ROCK) Utada (Bilingual) Olivia Lufkin Anna Tsuchiya Masato (Coldrain) (Although I think it's just a stagename, I'm pretty sure he speaks Japanese as well, he sings in perfect English) Jyongri (I think, but I'm not sure. I think she's bilingual as well) Matsushita Yuya (I'm not sure about this either, but at least I understand all the english he's singing in his songs.) LIDL 692 Posted September 15, 2010 Lisa (ex M-Flo) and Verbal (M-Flo) are having excellent articulation too.
Flame-X 441 Posted September 15, 2010 Takanori Nishikawa from T.M.R and abingdon boys school is at the level where you can understand what he's saying. If you listen to songs like Stay Away, Fre@k $HoW, and Desire, those are all in english. Oops, forgot to mention. Ryohei Yamamoto, Stephanie, that rapper from move, and Heartsdales have very good english pronunciation.
LIDL 692 Posted September 15, 2010 omg, yes! How could i missed TM Rev >__
Peace Heavy mk II 7200 Posted September 15, 2010 I've seen videos of Gackt speaking in English and it didn't seem so bad. I don't really know any decent English speakers from Japan off-hand at the moment: I tend to pay attention to the bad ones since that's more amusing to me. Manabu 144 Posted September 15, 2010 The guy from Fact is decent at english, but sometimes it is quite bad definantly try Radwimps, their singer lived overseas for a while
X-Marc 7 Posted September 16, 2010 Akeboshi has a good pronounciation (listen to Wind) but he has studied English for some time. the Fact singer was indeed talking prety good english, and the drummer aswell at their gig in Amsterdam. furthermore Miyavi speaks decent english the singer of Loudness, since 99,9% of their songs are english you should also check out the sex machineguns dvd made in america, its so funny when Noisy announces the songs XD 'this song is bery bery bery famous in japan"
Guest Posted September 16, 2010 Most vocalists that can speak "good english" are just imitating the language and have no understanding of it whatsoever. English is an easy language to imitate, but very difficult to speak.
SUBLIMINAL 52 Posted September 16, 2010 A big chunk of English natives can't even speak English.
Jigsaw9 6783 Posted September 16, 2010 Tomoyasu Hotei (guitarist/vocalist) has pretty good English skills, I think.
Mr Bacon 106 Posted September 16, 2010 The guy from coldrain, but I think he's half American. Also Abstract Mash/Nothing's Carved in Stone's vocalist, his English is pretty damn good.
JRD 5156 Posted September 17, 2010 You Ex.LERISE has good english and writes lyrics in english that is very fluent and not something like "red is apple in tree"
DeIdeal 0 Posted September 18, 2010 IIRC, the vocalist of MinstreliX can pronounce English quite well, but the actual lyrics aren't good English, so that you still can't understand them.
toshii9245 0 Posted September 18, 2010 Taka of ONE OK ROCK and Yama-B. I can only remember them atm.
Des 289 Posted September 26, 2010 Toshi of X Japan. It was way different in the Vanishing Vision days when you couldn't understand a word (Alive, anyone) but barely 5 years later on Dahlia (Crucify My Love for example) it was very good.

tosinn 3 Posted September 26, 2010 MONORAL. Anis is completely fluent, not just in English, but in French and Arabic too. And I think that Ali's fluent in English as well.
saishuu 3220 Posted September 26, 2010 MONORAL. Anis is completely fluent, not just in English, but in French and Arabic too. And I think that Ali's fluent in English as well. How the hell did I forget MONORAL? Yeah, both Anis and Ali are very much fluent in English (and totally awesome, but that's not the point).

dmriojas 7 Posted November 10, 2010 well I think JURI from DELUHI has fairly clear English. Gackt's is getting clearer also. And Miyavi has definitely improved.
guitar.chic92 1 Posted November 10, 2010 Rie fu's English is excellent.
Aion 184 Posted November 10, 2010 Rie fu's English is excellent. But then again she lived in England half her life or something
ficsci 50 Posted November 11, 2010 Shiina Ringo is pretty damn good And of course that guy in ELLEGARDEN (although I don't like them) but... hmm, if VK vocalists start singing in good English, that might be quite fascinating, but not as cute anymore
