because there's enough demand for it + they're going to do in stores for it which means that their few hardcore fans will buy multiple copies regardless. but that doesn't quite mean that they're getting to be even close to popular. they're a baby band and there's mild interest and that's nice but popular probably isn't the word I'd use, is all
 
as for Nagoya--plenty of bands go there regularly. Even if there aren't many bands stationed there they get lives all the time from Osaka and Tokyo bands alike so I'd say there's still a high amount of competition...¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Sel'm also used to be so, so good live. I fell in love with them after seeing them 2013.05.18. For disclose tour it was basically two of the most amazing lives I've been to even if I wasn't hardcore into any of the bands I was there for. The chemistry was so good.
 
cocklobin's last live was amazing. 
 
XAA-XAA is always A++ so of course their first oneman was great. Their sponsored live also had really good chemistry and most of the bands that played were really good so that one is also up there.
 
Minus Jin-Say Orchestra is an amazing band--and way better live than recorded. It's always so fun and weird, so their oneman is definitely up there.

Souiumono (2012~spring 2014 timeframe) →　It used to be a lot more fun... They had setlists that got everyone involved and it was easy to get into and it was a fun and exhausting (in a good way) experience. The most tired i ever left lives was after Souiumono. They were best at onemans, but lately they aren't considering setlists very well for that either....
Minus Jin-Say Orchestra → They are extremely consistent in quality and have never disappointed me. They change their setlists around regularly and I've always left loving them more than before. 
Belmosaic → They were so good, I'm still crushed about them being broken up.
XAA-XAA → Honestly, the most exciting band for me right now to go see. 
BugLug → I always see them and am blown away by just how good it is--especially since I'm not so big on recorded stuff
Ensoku → they're amazing. The end.
Sel'm (2013~fall? 2014) → After Souiumono, the most exhausted I've ever left a live is from Sel'm. They're so skilled and then it's just crazy how much we got down at their lives. I've heard it's gotten boring now that John is gone though... I haven't seen them in about a year however.

nuppe's can still be considered black face. He did it because playing the part of someone from Africa. His mannerisms were affcted and he was supposed to be speaking another language obviously so he would just make sounds. It was a joke but I still think it was more out of ignorance and lack of cultural awareness (a huuuuge problem here) than racismOh ok sorry. Though, once again as you noticed it's a pain in the ass to sift through tanuki threads so it's highly doubtful someone (even fuckyeahtanuki) would grab links to specific threads--plus discussions like what you wanted to see are most likely spanning several threads. But definitely, you have to be skeptical with reading it and most of the time is bitching about gya tbh. But even if you're majoring in japanese it doesn't prepare you for the bangya slang that riddles the threads and they sometimes give members nicknames (ie kisaki is "tooth" iirc. JokArt au Legal's bassist's name was Suu so they wrote his name as the kanji for vinegar)

I have lyrics for kowai kurai; tsumetai; komoriuta; usotsuki; oshiete sensei; kanden, kega no osore ga arimasu; and na mo naki sora e.
All have kanji + romaji and most have quick English translations too.
I've been planning on getting to lyrics for the last two songs on kowai kurai but I've been lazy, lol
na mo naki sora e didn't come with a pamphlet when we received it at the first oneman, so after a while I asked Kazuki to put up the lyrics on his blog; he did, so the kanji lyrics are just copied and pasted from him.
 
Anyway, I know the artwork on their page is saved as kowaicry.jpg but the way they treat the word has always seemed like 暗い to me + they're known for typos/overlooking things--for example, roji's kanji was written wrong everywhere at first and they also copy+pasted the ticket info for the 1st oneman when announcing the info for their sponsored event... Speaking of, the event they'll sponsor to honor the release is called 『コワスギルクラスギル』 which also hints at it actually being 暗い and not cry. Thoughts?

If it's not just full-length albums, then add 'Kuruizaki Burning Love', 'M no Koibumi' and 'Analog Byoto 696' to the list as well

Their first, second and last full-length albums are probably the 3 best ones. My personal favorite is the 2nd one, 'Heisei No Kotonakare Shugi', I think? Lots of great tracks on that one.

Man, this is why I don't share any translations or translate often. Japanese is beautiful yet complex.
BTW I have all the lyrics up on my site except for "Dokusou orchestra". Will have that up soon too!!

that's EXACTLY how tsumetai is. lololol    Yep, the song is about revenge murder.  "憎しみ　痛み　悲しみ 僕に与えてきたもの 全て感じたら 眠らせてあげる"  like dang kazuki chill out.   Interesting take though! But actually I don't take it as money itself. The whole stanza is full of color references: red afterimage, white curtains, stained black. So, I think he's saying that the person's "cold voice that will call out" is gold (or calls out) but it just sounds weird to me. probably because he gave a voice a color.  cold gold voice that will call out? idk i keep getting annoyed with this line again an editing this post repeatedly lol   And of course "そんな妄想を膨らます" just putting the phrasing right for that one is somehow driving me insane. I keep straying pretty far from 膨らます and then getting annoyed with myself.

tbh one recurring source of annoyance everytime i translate any kind of japanese lyrics is this: they have a tendency to aggregate a series of images (sometimes related, sometimes not) together without really explicating the connection between them. and so if anyone tries to render it into English, it'll become something like "a summer. a road with no one. our hands. etc." which means nothing meaningful whatsoever, even if it's kinda nuanced/poetic in the original japanese.
 
as for that lyrics you pasted.. my first impression was that it's a scene of murder of some sort? (i checked the full lyrics and there's indeed a line about 握るナイフ). so i take that line there to be cold/lifeless money that's crying out (interesting personification though, lol) in the aftermath of the crime. sadly there's probably no objective way of translating this without imposing some kind of interpretation on it ._. good luck~

I'll admit: my translations for XAA-XAA are pretty quick. They go more for meaning and sounding natural in English than direct word for word translation (if I did that I'd bang my head against the wall. Kazuki is so easy to understand but his word choice can be such a pain to put in English) or trying to make it fit the song. I've been sitting on a translation of komoriuta for weeks but there's like a couple parts in it that I'm not ~entirely satisfied with~~ so I haven't published it yet, lol
