okay! I just wanted to clarify (._.) I am admittedly a bit too invested in this band (and tired and in a bad mood)......... hahah that would be great and no one would believe it for a second just the way it should be. Still, I'm going to write a post card (and try to get other foreign fans too as well) because it's pretty depressing to me how little love Hirobucky gets in general (..I mean me and my friend were planning on giving him a present on the 30th before we even found out about this) so it'd be nice to show that some of us care anyway... edit: speaking of the 30th i'll tell you guys whatever the heck they say there. we're also planning on crashing bucky's izakaya (hopefully he's working the day we can do it..) so we might be able to interrogate him too lol
-
if that's directed at me... actually, I do. Admittedly I am in a really bad mood because of the state of my other two bands that i follow who have had members leaving/pausing activities since February. But, keep in mind I know quite well the type of jokes this band in particular does. I've seen a lot of it first hand. This is something different than their usual (besides it being about Bucky). And I'm not the only one who is having trouble figuring it out: a lot of Japanese fans can't tell one way or the other. Some take it seriously, some as a joke. blah blah blah, you guys will continue thinking it's a joke anyway and I hope you are right.

oh they're finally recording welcome? I had expected it last mini-album, but it wasn't there. It'll be nice to hear it recorded. Satoshi always takes a song to warm up so the vocals on welcome at lives have never been good imo I can't remember what suki sounded like (it's been three months since the oneman in December when I heard it) it wasn't different from their usual style at least. Anyway, I am pretty sure I liked it at the time. Curious about the other songs and looking forward to the mini-album but I doubt there will be anything too surprising with the new songs
-
Agreed on both accounts but it doesn't seem to fit with bucky in my opinion. If they're going to fire someone for lack of proficiency it wouldn't be him (and..might as well fire the whole band if they're going to hold them to a higher standard than Bucky's level). That has crossed my mind and I do hope that is what it is. Bucky is the butt of almost every joke Souiumono has, too. Still, I don't like that it's being strung out to August and isn't overtly obvious as a joke so we can have some peace of mind as fans. Even if it's a joke it's a bad one for fans... I don't know how they're going to pull it off.
-
I can't tell if it's a joke or not but it's pretty terrible regardless in a lot of ways (and i'm the one who has the bassist of the band as their icon). Even if it is a joke (which, considering the band.........) I doubt anyone will laugh at it at BLAZE I haven't grabbed men's spider yet to see what they say in there. But he's the least popular member so if anyone can't get 1000 it's him.

RYO is in INHALE, Unveil Raze (he never left Unveil Raze) and get this he's doing a new band thing that was super secret until recently (INHALE members didn't know about it. I distinctly remember one guy tweeting him going "I didn't hear anything about this!!") called RINEN I didn't expect Takafumi back!! I thought it was going to be Masaya continuing support but that's cool I wish I could go to RINEN's thing so see what's up with that.. but I am coming back from Tokyo May 6th. And I can't go to May 31st because too many plans in May = too much money being spent so I'll have to sit it out. But I'm looking forward to being able to go see Unveil Raze again!!
-
After Pino left the band, their current support is named Takashi, unless he's changed but I don't think so... I'll be going to their live May 3rd.
-
If I read the announcement correctly he abandoned a live on the 16th without permission and has since severed all contact with the members, staff and label. So it seems deliberate on yu-ta's part, if the announcement is anything to go off of...
-
oh huh. I wonder if they'll do preceeding sales of goods before the lives then I could pick it up.. I'm going to a live down the street on the 17th of May that will take longer than a oneman otherwise I'd hop on over to cali gari afterwards.
-
there were a lot of tears at the live today. you could feel how much everyone loves baddies. and their fans are the most welcoming group of ladies overall that i have met in vk. today was my 10th time seeing them and it's painful knowing that may 2nd might be my last time (i cant go June 1st). of course, i dont think anyone was surprised but it's still tough to swallow. i hope for the best but it's hard to be optimistic with indefinite hiatuses...

Well, his middle finger did smash right into a metal peg hard enough to break the peg off (they spent a good bit of time taping it back together). Kogoe rushed on stage and bandaged him up but you could see the blood through the bandage pretty clearly, even from further back than where I was. SACCI bounced back and seems to have laughed it all off (he's made a lot of jokes about it), but Nuppe was shaken up and according to a tweet he apparently cried on his little frog pile while playing video games in the back of the van on the way back to Tokyo. Anyway, my sense of time and the order that things happen in is pretty bad with lives and I know it so I felt like the peg incident happened earlier but it was like after sister mura. \o/ But here's what I wrote about the in stores+oneman: Ragnarok Nagoya In Store 3/8 Ragnarok Osaka In Store 3/8 Osaka Oneman Quest 3/9 I'll be going on the 30th so you can expect something from that too(^-^*) hopefully it goes off without a hitch !! fingers crossed.

So, I went to the two in stores this weekend which were hilarious and good fun. I surprised myself with how much I understood (as compared to their previous in stores that had talk sections that I went to). Either way, Nuppe has somehow learned my name in the past 3 months (twitter? christmas card? I don't know I've never said it out loud to him and he hasn't said it before then), which was really nice to hear. But I think he just thinks it's fun making me lose my composure because he also told me "Misha, あいらび" (misha, 'i love it.' airabi is one of his sayings.) during a photo. I think all I managed to do was smile and laugh and shrink in on myself at the time. I seriously can't think around him. The live was fun (it started off a bit slow tbh) but the energy was a bit off the entire time because there were a lot of troubles. Kamui's equipment malfunctioned, so he was kind of off for the rest of the live. Then nuppe's bass' peg broke off when SACCI spun around and his hand collided with it. SACCI nearly broke his hand in the process too (their manager, kogoe, was super quick with coming to bandage him up though). So after that Nuppe was obviously a bit down but trying his hardest; he was pretty upset but possibly not that many people noticed since he hid it well. Near the end the set got a lot heavier so that was really fun. And they had a corner where it was Hirobucky vs. Kogoe and Hirobucky ended up doing the KAZ48 call and response song and Kogoe even danced on stage with everyone during that time. At demachi I had bought myself a coke zero but my friend was like "You should give nuppe a drink!!!" And ended up telling him that I bought it for myself and he asked me what it was and I said zero and showed him the label and he looked like he wanted it even though he drinks regular coke. But I kept it lol (I'd already started drinking and have a persistent cold at the moment otherwise I would have probably given it to him and gotten myself another). I definitely could have talked more but like I said I can't think around nuppe. But, I probably should have gone to buy him a coke, it might have cheered him up a bit(・・;) There were a lot of girls assembled for demachi but only a few actually went over to talk to the band? As for new songs some of them are fun live, especially タンヤオ which has some silly furitsuke that goes with it. I'd say in general the newer songs are not so heavy and I like their heavier songs so I was hoping for more of that. But ガネーシャ is pretty heavy on the bass, I love it. I have written reports with more details on my tumblr and can grab links if anyone is interested

Hello, welcome to the forums(*^^*) I like oshare kei and silly bands a lot, but I think our tastes are a little different. Still, I used to like DOG a lot a couple years ago! I still enjoy them live, they're super fun!(^-^*) Actually, when I saw them Mizuki's pick bounced off my face hahaha... Kameleo's also really fun live too, but I never looked into them much afterwards... too many bands, too little time/money orz Hope you enjoy your time here

1: Do you buy multiple versions of releases, or buy at all? Yes. Sometimes multiple copies. In store privileges hollaaaaa. 2: Do you collect cheki or other non-music related items from bands? Yes. Cheki are where the money is for them. It's like handing money to the band. (Of course, second hand cheki isn't like that. But 99% of my cheki was from lives). Also most of my cheki are pretty sentimental for me. I also like towels (shows off who you are there for + a lot of bands have at least one song where you use the towel in furi). Also, picks+drum sticks. Just ones I catch (I'm at 1 drumstick, 7 picks as of this post). I've yet to buy one (I would for maybe 3 bandmen though). 3: Follow them on Ameblo, Twitter? Yeah. But I'm pretty lazy about reading. 4: Would you follow them on the street? Not particularly. I have demachi'd before and talked to them outside the livehouse after a live/after they finish a set. 5: Dig through their trash? No. 6: Does Visual Kei or other forms of your musical taste influence your style or personal life? Hm, well, I do dress a lot more differently now than I used to. Wearing jeans+a t-shirt used to be very common for me, now it's rare and I absolutely don't do it to a live. Personal life.....uh I talk about VK? People know me as the crazy that goes to lives on the weekends? Idk. 7: Desire to move or visit Japan influenced by music? I live in Japan. Partially influenced by music, but I am interested in the culture, I got the job, etc etc. 8: Do you read dirt-sheets of bands, like rumours, gossip, etc...? Occasionally I go on tanuki but that is for specific reasons. (setlists, if something happened and a member is unexpectedly taking a break from activities, etc) 9: Ever fantasize about being friends with band members? Hm, I guess I occasionally think about it. But not particularly. I enjoy talking to bandmen; it's like a second hobby of mine. But I don't particularly fantasize or try to cross the border between fan and friend. I like being a fan. 10: Do you want to be in a Visual Kei band (or any other kind of band)? As a kid I really wanted to be in a band. I used to play bass. But I gave up that dream and enjoy being a bangya instead. I don't particularly have any desire to be in a band now.

They didn't have very professional quality video cameras at the live (looked like average home cameras to me), so I'm curious how the DVD quality will be. I noticed the video cameras at the rail behind me but I didn't really think much of it considering.. Anyway, still going to buy it as a memory of Friday night.. It was a good live.

uglymouth - hey thanks i go to tokyo on a semiregular basis actually (like this weekend and next) mosaic - thanks. i'll reply privately too but i'm going to say now: i'm not a shopping service.
-
Actually, I'm considering going out of curiosity and since I have the day open. A one day revival seems like it would be fun and I like what I've heard so far on youtube.

This is really concerning to me as a fan. This year is their 10 year anniversary as 5 members with no member changes (name change) and they've been really hyping it up. There's a Baddies+Billy tour schedules from July to November already for it. Moreover, what makes it more alarming besides the abruptness of the announcement is that they are withholding personal comments. In comparison, Baku with his throat problems at the beginning of the year still appeared at lives--they delayed sending a DVD so that he could recover. And they allowed personal comments. It's hard to think that something bad hasn't happened to Hiroshi given the very sudden announcement and lack of details. I can only hope things will be cleared up sooner rather than later and that he will be able to participate in activities again sooner rather than later. It's hard to imagine Baddies in any capacity without him..

1. brq (2001-2004) but i'll accept anything up to mellow hollow. old brq was pretty darn cool--i mean tokyo stripper, anakuro film and m to tsumiki asobi. pretty soon after kei became the main composer the style of course shifted considerably but it was still good. idk many vk bands that sound much like old brq and i always loved their old style. their comeback started off rather successfully but since then the quality has noteably dropped, two members are missing, and anything that made ryo's voice unique and stand out has been destroyed (noteably it seems to have consciously been done by him--he apparently believes his voice has improved so much and talked a lot about it at a live my friend went to last year...) and is kind of nasaly and bland now imo. but the old stuff was awesome. 2. kannivalism 3.Souiumono they've a mixed bag when it comes to their music. i know a lot of people who are put off by their looks but they've got some solid songs in my opinion (and not so solid ones lol but I like them anyway). this is the band i listen to the most often these days, especially since brq went downhill. but the real magic is watching/hearing them live. i think it would be really hard to dismiss them if you went to a show.. 4. Hana Shounen Baddies 5. RUVISH Unfortunately they seem to be under the radar. I found them at a live I was going to and was hooked by the second time I saw them... It's unfortunate to see Ruka going (he brought a lot charisma-wise to lives) and I'm interested to see how they recuperate from him leaving. 6. cali gari 7. Sel'm I have only listened to Ryuga as the vocalist and nothing before that. 8. rice admittedly a little one note--but at least it's a very nice note. 9. Yeti 10. Serial Number They were one of my first VK bands and I'm sentimental. Also, I like fun songs. honorable mentions: Shounenki (too new to my list) Minus Jin-Say Orchestra (too new to my list) cocklobin (their spark is gone and their energy deflated--it only has come back a bit after they announced their breakup) GIGAMOUS (too new) ensoku (something has to be said for Ensoku live; Buu is one hell of a frontman) My list of top ten favorite VK bands to see live would be different (mostly the order would be different and at least one of the honorable mentions would be on the list), though...

I'm definitely looking forward to the release too! Also, the presale of tickets for the live at takadanobaba AREA will go one sale starting from March 6th and on at their merch table, but as far as I know there are no details yet on when general sales start..
-
agreed. though the label thing is a little iffy because the label might be the reason why they are getting so little money (too little to live on, etc and the label might own the rights to the band name).... some other reasons it's a really tough schedule. actually, it's a really tough scene in japan. music in japan is dominated by idol groups. if we're talking visual kei, then it could also be because they don't want to do VK anymore (I know of a couple metal bands who have guys who used to do visual kei...). this can also be personal reasons for a member leaving the band, naturally.

No problem! Glad you enjoyed them. Oh my god, it was hilarious to begin with that he even asked for the number..and then when he tweeted that he didn't get it, it just got better. I definitely recommend for anyone who gets a chance to see them, to do it. I would really like to see them in America; it'd be nice to see them on my turf for once. I really hope they'll be able to go abroad--I'm sure they're interested. Yeah, Nuppe posted it on his blog first while SACCI was on ViSULOG TV so I saw it there then it updated on the OHP a few mins later... But....yeaaaah, I'm not big on the new look. Anyway, I hope they don't actually wear the headdress things at the lives, but who knows. Then again, because the title is "ragnarok" a friend and I were hoping for vikings, which would have been pretty awesome. ★In stores for ragnarok have been announced here. Exact details on the in stores themselves will be coming later. 3/5(水) 18:00~ little HEARTS. (Jishubanclub, it's in Shinjuku) 3/29(土) 19:00~ 池袋Brand X (Brand X, Ikebukuro) I've got plans for both the in stores on the 8th. In fact, I'm going to be buying multiple copies (2~4) of the CD for the in stores and if anyone is interested in getting Ragnarok (+ cheki if they so desire) and not paying shipping look at this post on fuckyeahsouiumono for more details. I am buying type A and B for myself of course, one of the types for a friend, and someone already claimed one of the copies. But I wouldn't mind buying up to two more copies for in store privileges. If you are interested and have no tumblr, of course, you can just contact me here through direct message ★They also announced that they will be part of EDGE's Circuit '14-the four seasons- tour (EDGE Circuit '14-春夏秋冬) 5月10日(土)仙台Hook (Sendai) 5月11日(日)新潟GOLDENPIGS (BLACK STAGE) (Niigata) 5月16日(金)名古屋ell.FITS ALL (Nagoya) 5月17日(土)大阪FANJ twice (Osaka) 5月25日(日)EDGE Ikebukuro Since it's the day before my birthday and in Osaka I'm going to the May 17th live. Also SACCI was ranking his five favorite songs on his blog 事後の翼 (song off of tarantula) prologue (new song) 大嫌いなこの星に生まれて (title track of daikiraina) エンブレム (new song; "emblem" in katakana) 「H」 (new song) so now we know three of the five new song's titles....

lol hey karin thanks

This is nearly two months old though. He always hugs me at cheki events before I can figure out what to do with my arms or hug him back properly (he hugs pretty much everyone).

haha hey turtels (uh, i mean tokage) i saw that icon and thought it might be you
