Basically, the admins and mods discussed and decided to turn it into a Cat Café forum, what with growing concerns over the US cracking down on downloads.

This is the end of Monochrome Heaven and the beginning of a new forum, where we discuss cats, pets, coffee, pies and the like.
I'm sure the mods have already started feeding old uploads and dead links to their CATs to get rid of the evidence.

I don't want to talk bad about my favorite band, but seriously. The last years 90% of all of their releases has been "live"-related Blu-ray/DVDs or live recordings. I'm honestly tired of these releases. I didn't buy "TOUR12-13 IN SITU-TABULA RASA" and I will definitely not buy "TOUR2013 GHOUL". The bonus DVD live content on "Rinkaku" and "SUSTAIN THE UNTRUTH" is enough for me.
 
I never understood why they release so many DVD/BDs, why should people buy several documentary DVDs when they are touring worldwide each year, now even in Australia? And the documentary-part is not relevant at all since they don't come with English subtitles, absolutely pointless.

I Prefer Old School Visual Kei WAY WAYYY More then the NEW crappy stuff thats Out. .
 
The new stuff is just usually bands that so lots of Fanservice too get more fangirls OR that stupid sparcley bands too!!

About the GRIEVA thing. .they were from RELOAD. .a Happy-ish ughh band I guess...I don't really think that they can really pull off an Old School VK Look because everytime I think of them I think of how they looked in RELOAD...All there music sounds the same from RELOAD...No difference! it all sounds the same to me. .
 
Oh When Kyouki (Yoki) & Roku (Taku) were in a Band Called ヴェルゼ (Vell;ze) I thought they were really good! haha but when RELOAD formed I was all like "deefuk is dis shit" LOL xD
 
And then Came Along GRIEVA -- "Awhh Shit bro , not what deefuk day gonna do?" LMFAO xDDD So they decided to make an OLD SCHOOL VK inspired band haahahah WOW!

My 2 cents. There's two ways of obtaining rarez:
 
1) Trade with traders, foreign or Japanese. Japanese traders are total asshats who think they're better than everyone, period. If you have no rarez of your own you can't get into this game.
Then there's foreign traders, most of the ones I know are, like Tokage said, nice people. The reason why they don't want to share their stuff? Mostly it's because if their stuff gets spread onto every corner of the web they lose their connections with their trader buddies since they didn't keep it to themselves. It's a nasty world but that's how it works, sorry.

2) Buy stuff yourself. This is how I got most of my rarez. I have some stuff I know a lot of people are interested in but trust me, if you pay €50 for like 3 songs that sound like they're recorded through a toaster you wouldn't feel that entitled to share it with the rest of the internet either, unless you poop money in your spare time or something. I don't, so yea.

In my opinion THAT is actually what i really love about the old looks. Surely, the outfits were sometimes really silly and exaggerated and the make up sloppy, but i prefer it that way dozen times. Why? Because I feel the old styling looked more raw, dynamic and interesting. It wasn't the complete über-perfection which it is now, some guys looked like Drags, others like punks, the others like a bad version of Sayako from Ju-On. I really dislike how most vk make-up nowadys looks so polished, everything has to be precise and perfect from teint, complexion to eyes and the boring hairstyles.
It makes sense though - new VK guys rather look like Hosts (who are supposed to look like ultimate perfect bishonen straight from your wet manga fantasies) than frilly New Wave boys with Boy George make-up (or oh so spooky goths in drag).
I guess that's where everyone's opinion differs, depending on their taste and aesthetic preferences. I personally adore a well done old school make up (and I tell you - it's very very difficult. I've tried it a few times and it still looks rather "meh". You can fail pretty hard at a late 90s Matina/Soleil style make-up if you aren't really good with the tools. Also: see all early 00s cosplays. All the people who wanted to look like Mana or oldschool Kyo and failed epically...). Especially the white faces are my faves, because they can be expressive (almost Harlekin like), yet it doesn't really matter how beautiful the person is who wears it - they don't need to be super beautiful bishonen and the focus lies more on their style and make up.
Of course I can see and understand people who like new VK make up better. It's more polished, clean and it can be worn outside the stage in mundane life as well- so it is more versatile. Old VK styling is rather extreme and especially the outfits aren't supposed to be worn daily.
 
But I still miss this style though and I am happy a few groups now are still dressing that way.
