Guess I'm the only one who likes Stella more than what I'm hearing here? Well this definitely isn't "bad" (I like the melody), but I want to hear more than just the chorus to make up my mind. Specifically, I wanna see how the harsh vocals fit into the overall structure of the song - whether it's just there to substitute arbitrary sections of the song as filler (like what some other bands are doing), or there's something more imaginative and interesting going on.

Started the new Sailor Moon. The first ep gave me all kinds of nostalgic feels awww. Seems good so far.

SAME. I've tried hard to get into them, but I just can't handle the vocals. Sounds like he's dying or in lots of pain to me.

Just a personal suggestion, but I think it is a good idea to make the release list on the Main Page have a scroll bar, so that it doesn`t stretch out the main page so far and bump down the stuff below it.
 
Like right now there is a ton of releases, and maybe it would be neater if it just showed something like 5-10 and you scroll down to see the rest.
 
Just my opinion, maybe it is hard to implement though.

WRITE-UP:
 
The immensely popular Rock Band UVERworld returns with the album that I personally enjoy most out of their catalog to date.
 
The tracks flow through many different musical styles and feelings, while staying anchored to the UVERworld signature product. What to expect most is lots of attitude (something I look for) and a rock album that you can pretty much bounce along to as if it were full of `hip-hop jams`except with heavy riffs, great drums, and a soaring sax to go along with the vocalists stand-up-and-shout microphone persona.
 
I recommend this to any VK or Indie fans who haven`t already checked it out due to the band not fitting into their preferred genres. If you enjoy rock, musical creativity and just all around great production, give it a try. The lyrics, vocal ability and instrumentation all deliver.
 
How quickly the album picks up on you may differ. Even for me as a fan, there were tracks that instantly clicked, and others which I had to give a few spins in order to get into and really feel. But after all the plays I eventually grew fond of listening to each and every track.
 
 
Biggest Attention Grabbers:
 
The singles including Fight For Liberty, Wizard Club and Nano Second, as well as the Underworld cover `Born Slippy` an underground classic from England, featured in the `cult-hit` Trainspotting, and referenced in the audio/music-phile Tomoki Kyoda`s anime Eureka Seven AO.
 
Sleeper Tracks:
 
別世界 (betsusekai, lit. Seperate World, interpreted as Another World in common speech), and ENOUGH-1. Betsusekai would theoretically be an answer to anyone doubting that UVERworld could make a track like Born Slippy on their own. They step it up musically, and put together a jazz-rock structured jam that really takes me on an instrumental journey. ENOUGH-1 has a laid back Japanese Yankee kind of attitude to it, I imagine it as the perfect tune for a group to roll out to in the sunset as they hit the town for something wild. The lyrics, music and attitude grew on me with each listen and it became one of my go-to tracks when I slip my headphones on.
 
 
Track Count: 14 (4 previously released,  3 of which are slightly modified for the album)
Listens: 30-40
Production Quality: Amazing recording, mixing, timbre and overall feel.
CD Print Quality: No perceptible flaws, perfect track synch, no artefacts.
 
Overall Rating: They seem to have pulled off the exact feel and quality they were going for, I enjoy the album immensely, and in the right mood I don`t skip a single track.

Tokyo Ghoul's first episode was so good. @_@

After watching the finale of Black Bullet, I'm going to have to drop the rating for the show by a few points. What was that? So many plot holes and dangling threads that were never addressed?
What happened to Enju's corrosion rate being important? Why are the monoliths important? What happened to the dick hole who threw the batteries into the water and never popped up again? Why did the festival lights just happen to float towards the Flames of Revolution? How did Seitenshi know they needed help and that the batteries didn't come? Why did that guy that popped up at the end of the episode to play obligatory villain for all of fifteen minutes? As the guy with money and glasses why the fuck would you accept that duel?!? What happened to Kisara to cause her to change so fast? Talk about zero character development When was Kisara all about vengeance? Wasn't she talking to Rentaro a few episodes ago about being a civil officer to change lives? How does someone swing a sword to cause delayed spontaneous combustion faster than the speed of sound? What is Kagetane's plan and why did he save the Tokyo Area if he wanted it to be destroyed by a Stage Five Gastrea earlier in the show? This should be his wet dream! What kind of digital bomb freezes but still sends information back to the computer? Why did it require manual force to explode? Why didn't they just shoot a missile or two at Aldebaran to jump start the bomb? What role did the blind girl with the lead in her eyes play? If she was so unimportant why did she show up in four different episodes? And this is all in one episode! Mother of plot holes. I was expecting my questions to be answered but the last four episodes had lazy writing and felt like they were trying to do too much too fast. Still enjoyed watching the show but the actual rating is around 5.5-6.

Next trend in VK: Rapcore. I can already see it.

OK, I definitely like CORE more than I liked Tears. Between CORE and Revolution to New AGE, I can't decide which I like better. 
I was a bit surprised by the new songs, but not in a bad way. I would have liked for there to be something similar to RISK_144000 because that song is hot as fuck but oh well. 
I'm not going to go track by track but I'm really into 疾風迅雷. I also like イデア but still prefer Aerial cord over it.  I feel like I get lost during 囁姫遊女 and 洗礼. They're not bad songs...I just..idk like they don't really stand out to me or I haven't listened to them enough. I'm just "whatever" about them. I was into Real world upon first listen but now I don't really know how I feel about it. Not a fan of the "Dancing Dancing fly Dancing Dancing cry" parts. Feels like I'm being attacked. EGOIST still slays and will always slay. That's their best song in my opinion. 
 
This album is a 4/5 stars for me. 
 
 
I have to bitch about this too, but the poster.... I haven't gotten mine yet, but wow, not into it. There's a lot of things that irk me about it, one being that Kazuki isn't in it. He definitely played a part in the album but ok.  Another thing is that I was expecting something "cool" not for 3 of them to be cheesing and then Koudai looking serious... like what? ughhhhhhhhh it's just too silly for my taste. 

So Royz's newest album was released yesterday 2014.07.02 and there seems to be quite a lot of discussion going on about the album.
 
 
 
 
 
My feelings are very mixed. Now after 20-30 plays per song I still can't decide if it's a great album or not, mostly because after LILIA I was really expecting a harder and more br00tal album, but this album turned out to be quite the opposite. Not that it doesn't work, I think there are a few quite good songs. I just wasn't expecting this kind of glitter rock with basically no harder songs.
 
I haven't been a Royz fan for a long time, and actually EGOIST was that one song that got me into Royz. Naturally for me that's the best song on this whole album. But at this point I think my favorite new song is 囁姫遊女, one of the glitteriest songs on the album... I really like the riff and the atmosphere of the chorus, somehow the melody reminds me of Kagrra,. This song must be so fun at lives, 
 
Another one of my favorite songs is 洗礼, probably the hardest song on the whole album.
 
At this point I'll probably give this album 3/5 stars. It sounds pretty good, but I'm not blown away by it yet. I'll definitely need to give it a few more listens before I can write something longer.

In visual kei that line doesn't really exist. Visual kei is all about selling yourself, exaggerating your posture/facial expressions/actions, and generally being dramatic while playing music. To say they're "trying too hard" and to leave it at that reeks of criticism for the sake of criticizing and it doesn't sound very convincing or relevant. After all, neither you or I really know what they mean by that. Visual kei bands can't try too hard. The vast majority of them (including the two bands you listed) could do with a bit of trying harder.
 
Obligasolos are something I have noticed from time to time. However, I don't mind. I'd rather a solo that doesn't fit than a breakdown that doesn't fit.
 

Period was great but in my opinion, aim (the bonus track) blew it out of the water. I must have listened to it at least 500 times...
 
Anyway I love how vistlip announces its releases so early - it gives me time to save up lol ^^
