i haven't had the time to update this thread more regularly than i'd have liked >_> sorry! so the new single's full PV is out - thoughts anyone? what's your take on the band's recent direction?

Anfiel was the front-page feature in vol. 37 of ZEAL LINK's free paper. i scanned the first few pages of the magazine (THEY ARE SO GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) i might translate the interview when i have free time, but enjoy the pics in the meantime

by the way this will also be Kaname's last live before he retires edit: oh nvm i think he added one more session on 3/6 so that's the last. but yeah if you're an ALIVE fan go see him ^^

i think there's def something up with disc reve. a friend of mine who's a bangya of alkanet (the band i went to see) told me that she hopes they will never join that label.. i didn't ask her to elaborate at that time but maybe now we'll know why haha. it's a shame that there's a real lack of reputable vk labels in hokkaido >_>

i saw blads at sapporo in june last year and they were pretty good. yuito has a nice presence on stage and their sound was more than decent for a new band. hopefully they will be back in a new band cos this sounds suspiciously like label issues.

i haven't had the time to listen to it haha. i was so excited that i took a photo and sent it to satoru and he was like 'take your time to listen!!' LOL i'll write my thoughts on the glamhaze thread when i can

ooo Nietzsche. this probably wouldn't matter at all if you're just reading him for leisure, but The Antichrist was one of his last works (written a year before he lost his mind) - which means it can be a little overwhelming since it builds on lot of his central concerns articulated in previous books. a better place to start might be Beyond Good and Evil (especially the preface) or Genealogy of Morality then work your way backwards before returning to his mature works. other works like The Birth of Tragedy are self-contained and can be read as a standalone. just a suggestion if you have a more-than-passing interest in his thought! literally just saw this. Taschen's hardcovers are one of the best gifts ever to art history. the quality of these beauties put academic presses and corporate presses everywhere to shame. they are seriously even better produced than some catalogues raisonnés i have come across in university libraries. i cannot recommend them enough

good list! i think it reflects your taste really well i knew there would be a lot of dadaroma and born lol i didn't expect to see so much vistlip on the list so that's a nice surprise! and of course it's always great to know others are enjoying anfiel and purple stone

the hype is about how they're gonna change their concept, which we've already glimpsed a little through that teaser. that look is nothing like any of their previous looks. things would probably become clearer at their O-East one-man or when they release more info about their album in March. i'm so excited right now actually <3
