I voted for Ling Tosite Sigure too. I'd like Merry too but LTS has more votes in the poll right now so the chances for them winning are higher.

Maybe it's just Kyo imitating other musicians~
  3. I completely forgot about this project. Not bad but not PPP-level greatness either, but we'll see.
  4. I think it was the beginning of 2011, even though it feels like it was a forever ago. I'm still a newbie.

What's the first 7" from the left if you don't mind me asking?

I second Merry, The Novembers and Tokyo Jihen! I'd love to see lynch. too. DEG banner would probably start a shitstorm about what picture to use, lol (vk vs. non-vk etc..)
  9. Damn, I didn't even listen to the previous one yet.. But I'm looking forward to this.

Hmm.. I prefer a full-lenght album the most. The more material, the better. Nothing wrong with EP too, though. And bands put more thought into albums & EPs than singles. But I think that Japanese music made me appreciate single releases more because of often including more than just one song, even though nowadays some bands overdo it with ridiculous amount of different types. But nothing wrong with releasing a maxi-single once in a while. B-sides are often a good chance for bands to experiment a little or do a cover song (I don't see enough of these!!) But releasing six months consecutive singles and then a full lenght album with those 6 singles and 4 new songs? No thanks. The Novembers are a band whose release "strategy" I like They have released 5 albums, 4 EPs and not very many singles. They don't just stick to the "one album every two years trolol" pattern. You never know what they come up with next.

Just bought the House of Flying Daggers on blu-ray. Can't wait to watch it (again).

Great song & PV! Only five days left.
  13. That guy's pants give me the creeps. But Gekitetsu's album was pretty good as far as I can remember.

I don't have high hopes. I'm afraid it will have electronic bleep bloops everywhere.

^ That riff in the NIN song reminds me of Disabled Complexes.

God I hate it when Kyo does that "wavering scream" thing like in Revelation of mankind (around 2:55), he probably used it in every song on The Unraveling and probably on DSS too. Annoying as fuck! Highlights of the album for now; Soshaku, Chain Repulsion, Behind A Vacant Image, Kukoku no kyouon, Tousei Disappointments: Un Deux, Cause of Fickleness

Rentrer en soi's 解毒まがいにSUICIDE is one of my favorites. It has a jazzy thing goin on in the verses.

Yeah, Sini Sabotage is probably the only one with some sort of mainstream success these days. And evilcoconut mentioned Mariska, I guess she was "kind of" popular ten years ago or so but she moved on to other genres. If someone's interested, here's some Finnish female rap, it's underground stuff, though.
  23. indigo

Well, at least it's better than any Finnish female rapper.. Haha.
