  1. Just listened to the track on their website. The music's all right but that hideously over-autotuned vocal! It's not like that on every song, is it?

Literally never heard of these guys before. This album appears to be their very first release, which is unusual. I really liked Londboy, so might have to check them out.

You're quite right, it isn't grammatical. I think what he is probably trying to say is "We believe in our ability to die". Having listened to the song a few times, I really like it. It doesn't really sound any different from anything they've done before, but sounds more melodic and less chugga-chugga deathcore than Dogma, which I didn't really like and was the first of their albums that I actually found disappointing (though maybe it deserves a reappraisal). So, looking cautiously forward to the new album.

I just went back and listened to SIVA, and based on these previews I think this album might turn out to be even better than it was.

How did I miss this news?! Got to order this right now
  6. Can't wait for the new album. Just went back and listened to their debut again and it is stunningly brilliant.
  7. Now they've re-recorded their entire back catalogue, maybe they can do something new!

Those covers are stunning. Now waiting for the digest!
  9. Hm, from this preview sounds a bit more like Kiryu than Kagrra, but could be interesting. I like the look. Literally never heard of these guys before, so will have to check out more of their stuff to see whether I think the album will be worth picking up.

omg the dead guy hanging in the closet Preview sounds quite good. Giving me Uwakimono vibes crossed with classic rock. Kinda different.

This looks great. I've already pre-ordered it but this cover and tracklist make me even more excited about it than I already was.
  12. It's definitely a bit more "pop" and less mental than they used to be, but I like this. They're still the best at this style that they invented, despite the hundreds of imitators

Can't believe he's back on Avex

This sounds amazing. I loved And but have never really listened to these guys before; I gave their debut album a spin and didn't like it, but this is on a whole 'nother level. Will definitely be picking this up.

Bet it won't get released on CD

This is exactly what I was talking about! This single is in much the same vein as the last album, and it's fantastic. Hopefully their next album will stick with this style – however, as we know, the first single can often be a leftover from the previous album sessions that doesn't really reflect the sound of the new album, so we'll have to wait and see.

I agree up to a point but thought their last album was actually a real return to form, beautifully produced and sounded much harder and heavier than their other stuff.

Wow, that cover art is horrible.

These previews sound absolutely fantastic. Super stoked for this. Have already preordered
  20. Never listened to these guys before, but this sounds absolutely boss. Am definitely buying. Loving those early-Gazette vibes.

    Is Ai a Homeland fan...?
  22. johnesh

This. I too cannot see how this can be called a "best album".
  23. The title appears to be "Santa Cruz Magic". That is surely not how "Claus" is rendered in kana?

Well this is unexpected. Loved their album, though I'm still a bit pissed at them for not putting a proper lyric booklet in it.
