Nice! I really liked THE GALLO's album myself. Great stuff, even tho I don't think it will make my end-of-the-year selection (as cool as it is, I cannot for the life of me remember a single song or melody from it).

KEEL is another band I really really dig, but just like with tgads' mini album, this release left me kinda 'meh'. It is pretty nice tho, just kinda more of the same, without the usual memorable impact (for me at least). Not bad still!

DIR EN GREY will release a new single mid-year, and announce a new album towards the end of 2017. MERRY will release a new album, goddamn they'd better. cali≠gari announces a new (mini) album by the end of 2017 but not before releasing at least one impossible-to-get FC-limited remix single. MUNIMUNI slightly change the index page of their website twice. Nothing much else happens. Oh wait: two live-limited demos they forget to announce in advance. Good news for old-school Japanese weird synthy new-wave freaks: the cult band Dendö Marionette will have a revival of sorts in 2017. Tono (synth/drums) and Kouji (synth/strings) will be part of the lineup from the original band, plus SHOWY and RALF from JUSTY-NASTY, and Sadie Pink Galaxy (VAMQUET, SPEECIES) as well. The original band released like one 7" record back in 1981. Here's a sample song from the aforementioned lone release of the band: Looking forward to hearing them if they'll have any new music to offer. This could be really interesting~
