  1. I gotta say I'm digging what I'm hearing so far. This generic nu-metallish style feels almost like a breath of fresh air (however paradoxical that may sound) among the sea of generic wannabe-core bands. The clean vocals could use some work, but it's a first release after all. I'll try to keep my eyes on them.

The penultimate track "サラマンダラ" (SALAMANDALA) is now available: https://linkco.re/0ZcbugSG
  3. I don't drink these kind of beverages often, but I guess I'll have to go with Sprite (tho Sprite and 7Up are kinda indistinguishable to me, taste-wise :D). Maybe Mountain Dew if I feel like hating myself a bit, lol.

    Yay, another old-school fan! Welcome~

I have no idea about technique whatsoever, but a vocalist/pianist friend of mine who studied music for 10+ years really praised Kaya for his vocal abilities. He emphasized how hard it probably is (at least from his own experience) for Kaya to keep his voice controlled and stay in tune, because for example most of the verse parts in his songs have very little "background" for the vocals to "fall back upon", i.e. it's usually just a drumbeat and random bass synth and he still pretty much nails all the right notes. Plus his voice is pretty powerful and cool, but that's just my personal preference/observation. Here's a random cool live clip:
  6. it's out x https://ototoy.jp/_/default/p/570712 (couldn't find a TuneCore summary link but I assume it's up on every other platform too)
  7. Although ヴィデオグラマァ (VIDEOGLAMOUR) has remained inactive/disbanded for a number of years now, they made a pretty rad move and decided to make their old stuff available digitally from 2020/07/04. I'm no expert, but seems to me this might be most of their discography (they didn't release too much to begin with iirc). Another cool point, vocalist Yuuya (ex-THE HAKKIN) also posted on his Twitter a brand-new recording under the ヴィデオグラマァ name titled "蛇の目の目【小人が逝くVer.】", mentioning that it is a song that they only played live around 2008, but never properly recorded before. Here's the lyric video: And here are all the digital purchase/stream links where the tunes will be available from Saturday:

^ Ah yes, I was thinking of that! Aww. Thanks.

Didn't these guys (or some of the members) get involved in some sort of scandal? Or am I misremembering things? Anyway, too bad... The stuff I listened from them was nice.

@sads123 holy shiiiiit, I haven't seen any Twitcasting ticket purchase links for those so guess not... damn.

Same here... Each of the CRUSH OF MODE event venues have like one or maybe two bands I'm interested in, and the rest are mehh... Cool that they're participating too!

I love this guitar design with the built-in theremin so much. Also, as a small piece of news, Imai wrote something in another Insta post about being "almost finished" with recording (not sure if this is concerning recording all instruments or just guitars, or for the single or the full album).

Anyone else still watching? For the first time I'm actually seriously thinking about dropping it, it's become so predictable, washed-up and cringey these past few episodes. Which is kinda funny, thinking how I found the very first ep of this new All Stars season actually pretty awesome and fun. What a shame. Anyway, I'll prolly dl the future episodes too, but skip to the runway looks and maybe watch the lipsyncs. Or at the very least, spoil myself week by week... I have too much of a Stockholm syndrome with this series after so many years of watching, lmao. Also, #TeamShea all the way~

Just bought my ticket for 06/29, so excitingggg~! Gonna be crankin' it on the big flatscreen TV! @Tokage It's a streamed one it looks like, through TwitCasting (for moneyz).
  17. Yaaaas, beautiful boxes of CDs~ ♥ Can't wait to have it in my hands! Haven't received a notice of shipping yet (just an email to confirm they will tell me when they send it), but any day nowww

I just remembered ICEMAN, who were basically Y2K Aesthetic: The Band ...they're categorized as J-pop tho I think (well, they look and sound like very soft electro-infused vk pop if you squint hard enough). Anyway, I knew some vk fans who were into them long ago, maybe someone here will dig them.

Check out this week's new track (烈ゴォクレイゼ) here: https://linkco.re/XpmcYZPu 烈ゴォクレイゼ --> retsu goo kureize --> LET'S GO CRAZY! The pun game is strong, maybe Közi learnt from Shuuji.
  20. Dear god, after his clowning around on that MUCC track I sure hope not. :')))
  21. OMG I can't believe we will get more than one song from them this year...... let alone twelve!!!! Looking forward to it, everything they've done is pretty great.
  22. I really can't imagine how a re-recorded CLEVER SLEAZOID will sound... on the one hand I kinda wanna hear them do a version identical to the original but with beefier production, but it would be also interesting to hear them rework it a bit.

Now that would equal a PSYCHEDELIC CRIME OF VISUAL SHOCK
  24. @LIDL The first staff person who contacted me was the same too, awww. Also he signed his email as "Takao" which made my mind go to Takao Koma, and now I'm imagining Takao Koma having to work for Sadie's shop to save up the tuition fees to go to Electronic Drum Pad School in hopes of re-joining XA-VAT in the future, lol. About the T-shirts I couldn't find any more concrete info either unfortunately, only that the size should "be equal to an XL". For reference I looked at other same-size ZIG UR IDOL brand tees in the webshop but none of them seem to be this exact style/type... but with all of them the shoulder width was always 49-50 cm if that helps (the other specifics varied widely).
