I think it was fantastic! It totally met my expectations at least, which was to see something colorful, entertaining and over-the-top violent. xD It went through the main storyline of the OVAs nicely, as far as I can remember them. And yeah, the soundtrack was cool af!

Wanted to post this sooner but totally forgot: here's the cover art! (this is the regular edition; the limited one is pretty much the same with slightly different dimensions)

Blade Runner 2049 - Finally watched this, and even though I can't usually take long-ass movies in theatres, I now kinda wish I had went and saw it on the big screen back when it came out. Amazing atmosphere and a slow-burning bleak story (there's not much to it in that department but the whole mood and pacing totally make up for it). Killer stuff.

Thanks for the recommendations, I will def check out / revisit those albums! I've also noticed they have quite a few of their newer releases up on Google Play (the only digital music platform besides Bandcamp that I sometimes check for 'legal downloads' lol), so that's pretty cool.

Welcome! Yay for stupid cheesy horror movies and Plastic Tree!

Pop Team Epic is amazing (finally caught up with it). xD Also, the Junji Ito Collection anime is totally taking off, what a ride! Episodes 2 and 3 were delightfully creepy. Ep2 has to be my favorite so far with the "Long Dreams" story.

As far as I'm concerned his career could've ended with NEGA... Anyway, sucks to hear he will leave the scene for good.

MY BODY IS READY.

Cool visuals and titles/concept. Hope the music lives up to it.

I used to listen to them at one point, pretty good band! Issay has a killer voice but is unfortunately kind of forgotten or underrated compared to other vocalists of his time (I'm guessing DER ZIBET in general just kinda flies under the radar most of the time). I need some serious catching up to do with their music tho, I see they've released heaps of stuff, haha. It's been a long time so I can't really think of any favorite songs or albums tho... Just wanted to comment here to let you know you're not alone. XD Also, only tangentially related but do you know KA.F.KA? They're a more recent project with Issay on vocals, Masami Tsuchiya (ex-Ippu Do) on guitars, Koji Ueno (ex-TMGE, etc) on bass, Motokatsu (ex-THE MAD CAPSULE MARKETS) on drums and Ken Morioka on synth (whose not a member anymore for obvious reasons...). They have a really cool new-wave-ish sound going on. Issay also did some guest vocals for some of Masami Tsuchiya's recordings (whom I adore).

Hi there, welcome! High five for BUCK-TICK and D'ERLANGER~
-
Could be latter-era ZORO maybe?
-
They've been mentioned here in passing, but gonna link this here anyway: vastly underrated and terribly short-lived, r.i.p. This is the shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit edit: Oh lord, their OHP is still up. What a blast from the past. :'D

Nothing too amazing so far but I'll check the album out as always. Not sure about this new direction (or metal influence) either, but we'll see...

This, lol. I might be desensitized after watching too much of the Boulet Brothers' Dragula show on YT. XD Still, looking forward to it I guess.

I wish Toll would just lay off that one. goddamn. beat. he. is. always. doing. LOL, anyway, looking forward to it, sounds okay so far!

Lazerpunk will release his new album "Death & Glory" on January 31st! Here's the killer opening track:

Hey, this sounds pretty good! Too bad their lifespan is so limited...
-
That surprised me too, lol. Hoping that they've already begun the recording for this new album last year with the current lineup~

Fun fact: tomorrow the band's having a gig at RUBY ROOM TOKYO, titled "MUNIMUNI 美NEOアルバム「A Diary of Mr.Moonlight」早期発売祈願ワンマン公演". In other words, they're making the same joke they made with "THE DOGUU ALBUM", i.e. holding a gig "praying" for the early-as-possible release of their next album "A Diary of Mr.Moonlight" (which should be released sometime later this year if all goes well). Let's hope the prayers will be effective this time too, lol.

Just listened to that new Satan's Satyrs song (Succubus), sounds cool! Has a bit of a Black Sabbath vibe to me. Nice. Super interested in that new Immortal album btw.
