  1. So excited for this!!! I'll try not to listen to the advance tracks to keep it all a surprise. Devouring Star will release their new album "The Arteries of Heresy" on the same day as well, another excellent black metal band.
  2. Jigsaw9

Haha, brilliant. xD Also, thanks for the translation!
  3. ^ Yeah I'm rocking out to it just now, good stuff! OTOH's album was good too, tho it might take some more listens to grow on me.
  4. The Disk Union exclusive version of the album will come with a bonus DVD-R "Disk Union for Mr.Moonlight" featuring live footage from the following gigs (5 songs in total, though this is still subject to change): ・2018/6/16 VAVA AREA ・2018/7/13 CHOP DOME (zombie lolita makeup-style gig) ・2018/9/10 苦LOVE KINOTO Also, here's a decent-sized version of the cover art:
  5. This, exactly. It somehow works. By the way I'm just on this new Sargeist, pretty cool stuff! I have the new One Tail, One Head and the new Deathhammer lined up next~

^ To tell you the truth, I honestly don't know cuz I don't know any Japanese, but getting 3 types of a release to obtain some extra shizz doesn't sound too far off from being reality, so... yeahhhh. I haven't found any trace of 狂イ月夜 either so I'm assuming it's either some old-old song idea they just recorded now or possibly one of their early tracks with a different title.
  7. Hmmm this remix... The original was perfectly fine as it was imo. Like you said, the overall sound suited the atmosphere excellently. Then again, I don't hear anything wrong with this new sound either, it's just kinda pointless to have. Sooo... I guess it'll be good for a download, heh.

^ Thanks for clarifying! Yikes... Plain ol' regular edition for me then.
  9. The original sounds atrocious so hopefully they realized this too, haha. Unless......... they'll be making it even MORE brickwalled.

^ Who knows, maybe it'll have 4 useless interludes just like the last one, lmao.

The official info put it as "high-resolution audio source" (ハイレゾ音源) as opposed to "CD audio source" (CD音源), so not sure how that differs. Also fair warning: it looks like the photobook edition does not come with an actual CD, only with this M-Card thingie which looks like it's some kind of Japan-only card that can be scanned with a cellphone, similar to a QR code that takes you to download various contents (if I understand it right). So there's a chance it might not work for us gaijin peasants, but I'm not too up-to-date with mobile technologies, so idk rly, lol.

The album will contain 10 tracks and will be released in 3 types. Here are the details: - "Kyoushin-ban": CD + DVD (2 MVs) + M-Card (containing album audio and the DVD contents) in a deluxe packaging - "Graph-ban": 100-page photobook + M-Card (containing high-quality album audio and the DVD contents) - "Ryoushin-ban": CD + M-Card (containing album audio) The extra special bonus, however, is that all the types will include a voucher which you can exchange on the band's upcoming 2019 tour for.......... a new re-recording mini album titled "0" which contains some super old-school songs! (To commemorate the 25th anniversary of the band's formation.) Namely: 01. 禁色 (Kinjiki) 02. IF 03. 人形の家 (Ningyou no ie) 04. 狂イ月夜 (Kurui tsukiyo) 05 .LOVE FOR YOU Also DAMMIT, at first I thought the mini album itself would be included with the album, but guess not... well, there goes my chances of hearing it 'legally'. ;(((

Good for them! Hopefully those 'unreleased tracks' (if they are genuinely as-of-yet unheard songs) won't be from the band's latter era tho... ;( edit: okay, nevermind, looks like that one unreleased track is from August 2011, around the time of their dissolution... oh well. Hope it won't be boring/cringey.
  14. Here's a tiny-ass version of the cover art from the official site (couldn't find a bigger one yet).

I have huge gaps in my Sigh knowledge so I'm just getting back into them now... man, what a quality act! Previously I was only familiar with their first few albums, but everything else I've listened to so far ranges from 'pretty good' to 'amazing' so hell yeahh! Just spinned Graveward yesterday for the first time too, and while it took me a while to get used to the overall production/sound the whole thing is brilliant. I love the emphasis on all the quirky keyboards, samples and atmospherics while also being totally metal. I still have some albums I have to catch up on (mainly the last few) but my love is 100% reignited! Also I couldn't find anywhere to listen to the new track from the upcoming album as YT keeps telling me it's not available for some reason - does anyone have a link where I can peep it perhaps?

After years of first seeing this, I just rewatched this performance on YT now... wowwww that was uncomfortable to sit through.

Await Further Instructions - Possibly the bleakest Christmas movie ever. Okay, I'm just joking, but it does take place during Xmas, lol. All in all, a pretty cool sci-fi/horror flick with lots of tension and smart use of a small cast in a minimalistic space. I loved from where it started out to where it went in the end. If you like stuff like the Black Mirror series, give this one a shot too!

B-T are one of my oldest and all-time favorites in terms of J-music, but those last two albums were not too great... especially the most recent one. Anyway, I'm not expecting anything mindblowing from them at this point (especially since they've already released 21 full-lengths so not much to prove anymore :D) but they still occasionally deliver some glimpes of genius. For example, "Arui wa Anarchy" was an amazing album I never expected they still had it in them. So even though the last two albums left me a bit cold, I'm still looking forward to whatever they have in store next!
  20. First teaser vid is out: I thiiiiiiiink I'll pass on this one. Doesn't sound like something I'd be into.

  23. MUNIMUNI will release their new mini album "月光男の日記 / A Diary of Mr.Moonlight" on 2018/10/31 (2,600円). It will include 6 tracks and a whopping 32-page booklet with photos, lyrics, band member interviews and liner notes. Tracklist: 01. THE MOONLIGHT SONG 02. NEW ORDER LOVE SONG 03. TIME IS FATE 04. VELVET魅惑TONIGHT (Album version) 05. B-BOY 06. THE SHADOW 2 Thought this would be a full-length finally, but oh well, at least they're keeping their schedule this time. Can't wait!
