If I remember correctly they've been playing that "ELVIS" song for a few years now, not sure what it is either. "SHADOW PLAY" is most likely a Joy Division cover (basing this on the fact that before they became a 'full-time' band with the current lineup they covered stuff from '80s goth/post-punk bands like Christian Death, Joy Division or Bauhaus). edit: I also just noticed the title "exit" there on the setlist. I'm not sure whether they made a song with this title (I'm not keeping up with them much lately) but back around 2008-2009 when they started they used to play a cover of this Killing Joke track.

...aaand here are the last two samples: I gotta be honest, I don't like the first one, not one bit. xD So syrupy and happy-go-lucky. Second one was kinda meh/average. I hope the album won't end on a lame note. ;< So far this whole thing is a huge mixed bag, tho I'm still really looking forward to hearing the whole thing ofc.

There is a lengthy trailer now up with samples of the album and some cool old-school video footage with hilarious Engrish~ It's a bit more electronic than I would have preferred but not bad! By the way the regular store release date is now confirmed for 2019/01/30.

This is kinda where I'm at right now too. We'll see. I really loved 13 tho, so it would be pretty hard to top that to begin with, so... yeah.
-
Has his voice always sounded so... whiney and bored at the same time? lol, kinda weird. I dig most of the instrumentals tho, giving me that early '90s vibe (except for the ridiculously plastic-y production that sucks the life out of it all).

Another new preview is up, pretty cool sound~ I'll put this one under a spoiler cut in case all the Twitter stuff would slow down the forum too much: What do you guys think so far?
-
Of all the bands, I didn't expect them to bring back the iconic typewriter kickdrums but okay. *NEGA turns over in their grave* Song sounds kinda meh/nothing special but good enough for starters I guess.
-
Preview time again! Sorry for the double (triple? xD) post. Not sure what to think, it's hard to judge, but I'm kinda 50/50 on the samples so far (either sounds okay or sounds kinda meh).
-
Two new previews: Another batch will be up in a few hours, I'll make sure to post them if no one else does.

Ao just posted samples of two songs, "Camera Obscura" and "Machine Gun Lullaby". So far so good. btw he will continue uploading samples, two songs per day it seems.

An as-of-yet unheard live recording of Chu Ishikawa's cult '80s industrial band ZEITLICH VERGELTER will see the light of day, although no release date has been given yet. Simply titled "ZEITLICH VERGELTER LIVE", the live album will feature 13 tracks and a booklet containing liner notes by vocalist Neu and heaps of old live photos. During its short span of activity, the band released one single and contributed songs to three compilation albums. Chu Ishikawa, most known for composing soundtracks such as "Tetsuo: The Iron Man" and playing in 'metal percussion' band DER EISENROST passed away late last year.

Went over to my friend yesterday and watched The Evil of Frankenstein. Classic Hammer horror, can't go wrong with it. To continue the streak, I saw The Revenge of Frankenstein today afternoon. Not as great and entertaining as "The Evil..." imo, but still very cool. Might as well watch the rest of 'em now too, heh (I'd only ever seen the first one before this weekend). Oh, and earlier last week we watched Slenderman with some pals. Terrible choice, but we knew what we were getting into. It was okay for a half-drunk watch while making fun of it. Not straight-up horror but we also watched I Still See You which was a cool premise disguised as a mediocre flick. Still better than Slenderman, I guess that's something...?

Still on dat Lovecraft kick, slowly making my way through volume one. Finished Dorian, it wasn't too great to be honest. Began reading Nova Express by William S. Burroughs. So far it's just as crazy as his other two 'cut-up novels', tho this is somewhat more... intelligible? lol. We'll see, there's still a lot to go. One thing's for sure, which is I'm always impressed by whatever weird stuff this guy came up with in the '60s (and beyond). There's also a mighty fine hardcover compilation of old Conan the Barbarian comics that was recently released here in Hungary. Great to read one or two stories a day. Full of cheesy fantasy machismo and truly amazing visuals by multiple artists.

...and graphic design is their passion as I can see.

Dunno if it's the terrible YT compression or just how the thing is mixed but the sound is just distracting me, so I think I'll reserve my judgement till I hear the official release of that VLTIMAS recording. Vocals are terrible and ridiculously loud, couldn't even get to halfway of the song... In other news, January 25 is the release date of King Diamond's long-awaited double live vid (DVD/BluRay). First whole track is up, it's gooooood

That is exactly what it was, as far as I know. Ambient background music that would play during an art exhibition.
-
This was interesting.

Props to Rhapsody! My very first heavy metal record that I actually bought was the cassette version of "Dawn of Victory". Still a nostalgic favorite. I gotta admit, I haven't really kept up with them at all for the past few years, but I might dive back to them, they released so much stuff I still haven't checked out. Extreme cheese, but when it's right IT'S RIGHT. ♥

That one guy being ex-AUTO MOD is throwing me off, lmao. Anyway, mildly interested in this~

Cover art for the limited and the regular edition (the photobook "graph-edition" details will come later): They're both pretty cool imo, but I especially love the regular one with Shuuji's photo~ edit: Some more limited edition art porn:

Looks like the band is already recording something new...?

Meev has begun uploading song previews on his Instagram if anyone's interested. Here's the one we've all been waiting for, lol. *drowns in cheese*

I love the whole 'curse' concept, hopefully this will be good.
