Hell yeah! It has been too long since they have done something.

I am stuck on the last step on setting up my photography business, I need a name! I have been trying to come up with one for a while now, but I can't seem to come up with anything that I really like or is that fitting. I have two names in the running: Vontography I love this one, it is hilarious, but it is too silly considering I am trying to run a some what serious and profitable business. (my last name is Von Haden if you didn't know) Recur Photography This is the only name that I really have come up with so far that I kind of like. The idea behind it was that I was just running with words that relate to photography. Photos are essentially memories and I thought that when ever you look at a photo, the memory image has reoccurs in your mind. Thus came Recur photography. I like it, but I don't love it...and the few people I have told about it for far just seem to not like it at all. So....any random ideas? XD

Damn, it's one thing to get out of a relationship, it is another to lose your best friend as well. My most current relationship almost went the other way around (gained a GF but nearly lost one of my BFFs) but there are seriously so many benefits to single life. This last weekend was a reminder of that. I was at an anime convention and I feel like that is one of those things that is easier to enjoy as a single person than in a relationship. I mean, I am not saying I wanted to be unfaithful (something I have sworn myself to never be), but when a attractive girl is walking around in a skimpy cosplay, I'm gunna look lol. Also, I feel like I have a better chance of making friends when I am not there with my GF, since she when she is there, she wants me to spend most of my time with her, so I have less of a chance of making random friends... sorry, that was random lol

I am going to look into it. If it seems feasibly, I will talk with the other admins and mods about putting it in to place.

Cool idea actually. I think we would pretty much need to find a premade mod for that, don't know if one exists, but we could look into that.

I don't want to accidentally read anything that might spoil something lol Just watched s02e02 Right now my friends and I are going to try and go on an "every other week" schedule for watching. While this sucks because I have to wait longer, it essentially makes it easier for all of us to get together and watch the episodes.

I will use Steam as the prime example as to why this wont necessarily happen. On Steam, games are tied to your account, not your system. You just need to register your steam on all the systems you use, and bam, you are good to go. I aren't going to lose any of those games. Also, the old games don't disappear. They stay there, you can buy them just like any other game. You can buy the original Half-Life, Doom, Unreal Tournament 2004. They stand to make a profit just by keeping all the games possible available to you, they aren't going to take them away. Sure, they might not all be the super cheap, bargain basement used games of last gen, but at the same time you will never see the sky high insanely rare collectors game. I am not saying what you are worried about might not happen, but I am saying that there are already all digital gaming mediums that this isn't a problem. That is a problem. Most games these days have demos, though, which mostly solve this problem. Sure, some games don't have demos, but to be totally honest, those are normally games that don't need demos to build hype and excitement over their games, their sales are pretty much guaranteed. I would be sad about not being able to lend a friend my game, but to be totally honest, I haven't ever really wished "man, I wish I could lend this person my game from steam" ever. That and Steam has guest passes that you can use sometimes, which are awesome. It essentially give the guest full access to the game for a short period of time. I am not saying that a system with no used games will be perfect, but I don't think our current system is perfect either. That said, if it is done well (i.e. Steam), I think people will quickly forget why they were against it in the first place.

I know we have a thread already, but that was really for the books more than anything else, so how about be have one dedicated for the show? If you are going to put spoilers, you should try and list what season and episode the spoilers are up to, cause I swear to go I do not want to spoil anything for myself about this show. I have seriously not been this jacked over a show since like...late middle school/early high school when I was watching stuff on toonami lol. It is just so fucking good. So far I have watched the first season twice (working on going through the commentary on the bluray for the first season right now), read the first book, and I have only have seen the first episode of season two right now. My legs would look so dumb shaved lol I think the facial hair really depends on the person. I have on friend who keeps trying but it just doesn't look good and he needs to give up lol. I am currently rocking the goatee. I have for the past 3 winters now...I never thought I would actually like myself with facial hair, but I grew it out one ski trip cause I didn't feel like shaving and ended up shaping it in to a goatee on a whim and I actually think it turned out well. All I can say is my GF doesn't want me to shave it off for summer. lol

I don't think that this is as terrible as people are making it out to be. First off, I completely understand why game companies are trying to kill off used games. When you pay $60 for a game, $60 doesn't going into the developers pocket. I can not vouch for the reliability of facts stated in that image, but either way it is clear that the developer get such a small percentage of the money that was spent on the game. Now lets say you buy a used game. Guess what, all of that money goes to the retailer. The publisher and developer get nothing and you are in turn really only supporting the store you bought the game from. If it really that strange that game companies want to end this? Maybe it wasn't such a big deal before, but the profit margins on games are becoming smaller and smaller as development costs go up. And lets remember, the goal of a game company at its core is to make money. Now here the reason people buy used games: They are cheaper. I understand that, but are they really? The company for used games in the US is Gamestop. I know there are a ton of smaller and mom and pop places where you can get games for cheaper, but lets face it, Gamestop dominates that market. Now lets compare the price of new games on Amazon vs used games at Gamestop. Lets say my house burned down and I wanted to rebuy all of my PS3 games. Logic would say I would save a ton of money by buying used, right? I would have payed the $20 difference to get all new games vs used and no one in their right mind would buy used over new to save 8 cents. I didn't plan this out before hand, so I had no idea it was going to be this close, but I'll be damned if it doesn't prove my point. Now if you are skeptical about a game system working without the sales of used games, I present you example A: Steam. At the moment there are 4,272,244 steam users that are getting along just fine with out used games. Why? Because the lack of used games does NOT mean that you still can't get games for cheap. Steam has it's infamous sales that allow you to snag so many great games for super cheap, they aren't used, and the developer and publisher still get money. A win-win situation. Ok, I am done ranting...I think I have made my point.
