Just FYI, it could have been their label. Their manager is kind of an asshole, so I wouldn't be surprised if this had something to do with him, rather than the band itself coming up with this idea. It seems more like the band wants to push on, but the management has them by the throat.
  2. Hi! My cds are currently at school, so I won't be able to get them for you until January 13th, but how does $16 + shipping sound? (you won't need to pay until January, if you'd like to wait that long.)

They also stole the merch guy's luggage (like, his clothing and personal shit, too.) He was talking about it on twitter. Poor Yucchi.

Uh, quick thing: The article isn't quiiiiite accurate. I wrote the original on S-T. So, basic facts: The car was broken into outside the venue (not inside the venue) at about noon, prior to their live. Pre-release CDs, merchandise, some basic equipment, and the guitar was stolen. THe guitar in and of itself is $4000. They pushed the time back a little while, so they could figure out what to do, practice, and get some equipment for Daichi (who ended up using one of Cazqui's guitars.) It is believed that someone left the car unattended while unpacking and someone took the chance to grab shit and bolt. However, most of what was taken (in quantity, not price) was merchandise. However, there was still enough to sell at the live.

My other babies... All of my bands except for Nokubura... Kokoro is extraordinarily resistant to quitting, so that gives me some faith. Dude is super set in making music, so I hope there is no disbandment.

Try pulling the sound more from your belly than your upper-tract and it'll be better! It's really good, but it's just a bit more breathy than Hiro. <3

I think he said the name of the new song was Omega, as well. But, when Hiro growl-talks, it sounds like ;dklsadkjhfskdljhfaskjdfhasdkljfh. Which is really funny, because when he actually speaks English he is really soft-spoken. It's kind of... beautiful. Which sounds really weird until you actually hear him talk. His pronunciation is just so... eloquent. And I'm not like, a fangirl of his. (Cazqui, be still my heart.) I wish it transfered over onto CD or live, though.

What makes CDs expensive is the 500 versions o the same damn thing and the fact tha. The Japanese music industry is pretty much run on single releases. In addition to the astronomical living costs, import costs, taxes, and such... It makes sense. Honestly, I don't have a problem spending $12 on a single (this is what I spent on Galeyd's new single) or $32 on a full length album. Most recording studios cost double what they cost in other countries. Also, comparing it to the Korean music industry is ridiculous because the Korean government has a hand in the running of the music industry (as well as television, movies, books, etc.) so they get an unfair advantage. Less taxes, more loopholes, and the government watching to make sure things go smoothly.

God that live was so good. I wish they had taped it.

I play bass, but I move from NYC to NM for school, so I wouldn't be much help. I'm also a chick, and that tends to lead to a big fat "NO" for most people. Alas.

Current? Damn. I listen to a lot of ooooold stuff, or stuff from recently disbanded bands. So. Do we consider X Japan still current? Because I don't even fucking know anymore. 1. X Japan 2. Galeyd 3. Nocturnal Bloodlust 4. Cat fisT 5. Gallo 6.Buck Tick 7. Biosphia 8. Crimson Shiva 9. Meteoroid 10. Deathgaze Note that I didn't put Signal on the list, as they will soon be disbanding. Otherwise, they'd probably me under Gallo.
  13. Everything has been updated! In addition, everything is MAKE YOUR OFFER. Basically, myuniversity announced "Oh, we're not going to cover your rent for this month" because I technically finished classes. So, I am literally yen-pinching at this moment. I will only be selling the flyers until the 20th. After that, they are not going to be available again... ever.

Zin's voice is 'weak' in comparison to Kamijo, but... Dude's only 24 (I think? It was either 24 or 25) and I'd like to give the kid all of the awards. He's stepped into some big shoes and it's amazing he hasn't completely gone insane. At their first live, he was visible /shaking/ from the nerves. But he's growing into his part, and I give him some serious props.

I spend 800 yen on a small ball of semi-tasteless Mozzarella cheese. I cried when I realized that I had spent so much on something that tasted awful.

  17. Normally they would be $12 each +shipping, but I can do $30 shipped, if you're interested.

I really don't want Leda involved. I really, really don't want Leda involved. Management tried turning them into Deluhi, I don't actually need them to become Deluhi.

A lot of aim was actually Toki, I think. Meku composed all of LOADED, DESTINY, INFINITIUM, Precious Heart and half of Eye Will. The only two singles where Meku ISN'T listed as the composer is Revolution and Flee From Reality-- their two newest singles. Those only have "GALEYD" listed. So. Until the last two singles, everything's Meku's. So, if you like Galeyd pre-Revolution...

If they go the Lycaon route, I will kill something. Well, not literally, but I will flip some goddamn tables.

Fans are bitching that it has something to do with TenTen.

A good number of my personal cheki hold serious sentimental value-- example, all of my Quinstet cheki were pulled specifically for me by the bassist, because I asked him to at their final live. Most of my collections is of random people, most of bands I don't follow, but was talking with them member and got them to both pull me a cheki of themselves and sign it for me. Or, of special moments or times that I want to remember--like the first cheki I got when I saizened, or the present cheki one if te girls gave me because they know I love band member x. But some people just like cheki and that is fine. I mean, some pictures are awesome or really funny looking. What have you. I think when we talk about cheki, we almost are required to brig up elitism within this fandom. Most avid collectors tend to see themselves as better or more worthy fans than their counterparts. Same thing goes for people who attend lives in Japan, compared to those who don't... By saying "I have a large cheki collection of my favorite band" it kind of hints that you think that those who maybe don't have a big collection or don't collect aren't as avid fans. It isn't true. I only accidentally started collecting cheki around January, but before then I only bought like three cheki, and they were for friends. Personally, now I see them as like a game--pulling the elusive cheki, getting the best one of my favorite member, trading with my friends, etc. but before then I just thought they were pointless trinkets. I think cheki started bejg a big thing in 2005? The mini 55, I think.
