  1. The title says Matsutake Works (マツタケワークス) in katakana (matsutake is apparently a pine mushroom, hence the shrooms).
From Google search it looks affiliated w/ vk bands (Matsuoka Age/ Age), but I'm not entirely sure what's beyond that. (newbie Japanese learner :P)

(UNDER CODE also showed up so they might have something to do with it, idk)

  2. I never really responded to this, haha.

While this is definitely a different sound direction than Ray℃ (and different production I assume), I find this a pretty nice "returning" song.
It's not really sparkly/melodic/atmospheric, but I think over time (and especially upon hearing the other tracks on the single) I think I'll get used to otoiroha.

Gentle to the ears and gives me a cheesy grin.

  3. kiki was my favorite =( , I wonder how that's going to affect their new single...

*I was mistaken, "A" is the name of their second oneman so I don't think there is any new material in the works just yet.
The better question is if there is either going to be a change in Airish's sound direction or do kiki and ao just don't agree to the continued direction Airish is in.
If ao has been the composer I'm almost shifting to the former.

  4. What are you using for your theme? I have found Arctic to be my favorite one so far (out of stuff that works on version 13).

I'm using Ace right now which works pretty well on Gotham (other than the fact that my Haswell Intel driver corrupts the media flags and some of the graphics on certain viewtypes) (I also can't rollback =( ).

I was considering switching over to Aeon MQ5 since none of the viewtypes are corrupted and it looks almost identical to Ace (with a few modifications), but the horizontal main menu & glassy translucent look has me stuck with Ace.

Hopefully there will be a larger theme selection when the Frodo themes get updated.

I'm pretty new to XBMC, but I absolutely love it since I have KCP (Kawaii Codec Pack) as an external player (nice looking organizer/scraper in conjunction with accessibility of MPC-HC/madVR/xYSubFilter).

Surprised I didn't start using HTPC software years ago.

  5. SINCREA

I listened to them a few years ago and really got obsessed with them with X'mas Day (my favorite Christmas song, EVER).
Got back to listening to Atlas today, but since my tags are all screwed up I've been marathon-ing them on Youtube.

... I've listened to JESUS MARIA at least 40 times today ...

I love singing along to this song, especially since HAL's voice is within my range.

( "I close my eyes" is also a tearjerker. I would love to cover this song one day, but I always tear up )

  6. Outside of liking the name Apoptosis (because bio nerd), the song is sooo well executed to me for some reason.
Aki's seemingly emotionally charged vibrato and inward screams building up to the chorus blew me away, and while the chorus itself isn't that special... The instrumentals... *mind blown*
Also the breakdown, I wub wub wub it ( <- don't kill pls).

  7. - Plastic Tree (my all-time favourite band + most number of CDs/DVDs collected + most of number times attending their concert + most number of merchandise owned)

    - Royz (always liked their songs, but became one of my top after experiencing their concert first-hand in Taiwan)

    - Kagrra, (really liked their unique style. it never gets old)

    - vistlip (i find that their songs always have a certain elegance to them, and Tomo's vocals is really one in a million)

    - ZUCK (amazing band despite being reduced to a duo before they disbanded. I can literally just loop their songs for the whole day and not get sick of it)

    - Anfinit (a very recent addition, literally just within the past 12 hours - after hiroki linked me one of their songs on Youtube. Simply fell in love with the vocals.)

    ...

"ONE OF US, ONE OF US, ONE OF US..." *deep chanting*

That is a superb selection of bands, and I really hope you enjoy your stay at MH!

If your music tastes are in any way similar to hiroki (which they are), you definitely have a thumbs up in my book.

Also, welcome to the Anfinit club :3

  8. 2TB internal sata for my laptop =D

I've finally gone with an internal since my usb 2.0 external is insanely slow, and I've wanted
quicker access to certain files + extra room. Currently moving 38,055 items over and I have

about 4 hrs left at nearly 50% XD.

  9. Seriously, scare tactics...?

Look how I pan up and down these blog pages whilst playing some pseudo-dramatic royalty free track that isn't 009 Sound System Dreamscape.
It's one thing that they decide to point out these sites, but the other two videos that go through Youtube users' channels...

    *UPDATE*

I highly doubt that JASRAC is even affiliated with this Youtube account, having visited the page linked in the channel the videos are amateurish. Furthermore, why is it that only Vistlip and other VK videos have been targeted? I bet more than anything it is a sole individual.

  10. 1. xTRiPx (mainly pre-revival both trad. and F.S.A era)

    2. Janne Da Arc/A.B.C (I used to listen to them religiously from '09-'12/ not VK but worth putting here)

    3. NEXX

    4. Royz

    5.  ユナイト

    6. DIV

    7. ネオン/the LEM (Rikuto bands)

    8. Blu-billion

    9. v[NEU]  (vo. Mitsu)

    10. ViViD (pre-Real)

    Honorable mentions:

    Vistlip

    ケミカルピクチャーズ

    SINCREA

    the Raid.

    Called≠Plan

    MoNoLith

LUCHe., Airish, Anfinit, アルルカン, and  RoNo☆Cro are either close or would be up there if it weren't for the fact that they're relatively new to me.
Everything but ネオン, NEXX, xTRiPx, and Janne Da Arc I've followed since the beginning/early stages so history plays a decent role.
