Aaaaand Screw caught up to using the wubwubs. Overall I'm not impressed. It's too all over the place; the song doesn't know what it wants to be.
I'm actually a fan of autotune. When it's used as a tool for nuance rather than a filter to replace your voice. And here Byou just abuses the crap out of it. It doesn't add anything to the music so what is the point of it?

The LE is supposed to be a 3D box and come with either a booklet or photo cards. I wonder if it's worth the the extra 6000Y.
-
^like No.47 said its boring and they've played pretty much this style since like duality.
the use of autotune is so little or uninteresting that I didn't care.
I mean, it's an a-side so something a bit more generic/accessible/ whatever you want to call it is expected I guess.

Another useless release.
Gosh, at least do something different. -
Here's my cloud:

Hello,
Trying to sell some Jrock and playstation games.
I made prices as reasonable as I could (based off a lot of research on other journals, ebay, amazon, Japanese auctions sites etc.) but prices are negotiable.

I'm diggin it.
And the PV is gorgeous too. I've always loved the overly fashionable models the GazettE incorporate.
-
Come oooooooon "Abnormal Head Machine Remastered." That's all I ask Born.
Anywho, I hope their new single builds more off their style in the "Mother" single.
It was a bit more refreshing than the past 52 singles since "Vigour." (Not counting "Radical Hysteria" so I guess only 51 singles.)
-
Can anyone say "Quiet" and "Forbidden Beaver" previews???
fadeless previewsI see Quiet having amazing potential just as long as it's not another "Voiceless Fear" with an amazing intro and mediocre everything else.
Forbidden Beaver sounds like it could be an exciting song, but from what I hear in the preview, sounds just typically GazettE.
I'm most excited to see the PV for this release. :DDDDDDDDD
GazeRockSnob and kodama-kun reacted to this -
It makes perfect sense and I love it (at least the limited edition.)
The regular edition looks a bit messy and hard to read.
-
-
I liked some ideas on their last album, but not how they were executed. Their latest single was pretty dull for me too.
Their Red Line style was great, if only they did something more with it.
-
Just curious has anyone listened to the previews on the Japanese Amazon website?
You can hear the intros to all the songs for all 3 versions.Type A:

There's a list of songs when you scroll down and just click on any of the symbols next to them that look like this:

^this.
Let's show the band some love and support with CONSTRUCTIVE criticism.
-
I don't get why people are hating on their live setlists. Aren't they supposed to be playing new material?
And I didn't think Division was that bad. To me it was like revisiting their past albums and then moving forward to their present style.
In this way the album is more symbolic, about letting the fans know they want to change their sound, but they will try no to forget their roots.
At least that's the vibe I got.
Haters gon hate, but I enjoyed Division and songs like Kagefumi, Yoin, Derangement, and Dripping Insanity.
Toxic too for the most part.
-
PV previews up on their OHP!
I'm digging madara so far. -
Regardless of whether or not I like the remakes I'll be happy with the band because I know it'll be how they intended.
-
Holy pooj.
My interest in this jumped up exponentially.
I just hope it isn't [kiri to mayu] remake style for all/most of the songs.
Yesss [Macabre] and [unkown...] remake!
-
I laav this single.
Rinkaku
I think the main track is amazing. The instrumental composition is intricate and there are nice contrasts of smooth and gritty guitars.
Kyo's falsetto is beautiful and almost classical and at time haunting. His normal singing voice is as great as ever too.
The ending at first wierded me out because I didn't think it fit with the rest of the song, but the unconventional-ness actually gets me excited to hear the end of the song.
8/10
Kiri to Mayu
Yah like most I didn't really dig the remake as much. I can see what relentless said about this actually being really similar to the original, but I was never a real fan of Kyo's MOO screams and growls. It gets too much for me and this kinda just sounds like [decayed crow] to me because of it. I like the instrumental composition though and ESPEcially that one melodic vocal break.
6/10
remix
remixes are aight. I never liked Dir en Grey remixes (save for maybe Zan , Macabre, decayed crow, kr cube).
This one I liked, lots of ambiance n all that. But, meh it's just a remix and I'd rather listen to the original.
-
overall
7/10
-
So excite!
So few bands make mini-albums this far in their career.
Although, yeah I'm past the MOO phase now. I hope they try something new with this release.
-
YES!
I loved the artwork for ASOM. I'm glad they brought the artist back for another PV.
I'm really digging the song so far too.
-
How does anyone in the band think Wataru's screams are even half-acceptable?
They sound ridiculous and obnoxious.
The song also sounds like a left over from their last album.
girugamesh new single & album release
