I am not a hundred percent sure about alice in wonderland stuff. My best guess is probably have to due with the concept of an innocent girl in an unknown mysterious world...but that depends on the bands though. What band actually heavily relies on this concept?

 

 

Not a specific band, but it seems to be a common theme for songs or titles D "yami no kuni no alice" , Viored "Far off memory of Alice", and tons more to do with alice. Plus Alice Nine who have their Alice in Wonderland mini and I think there is another band that has Alice in Wonderland or some take on it...and there are jpop references like SNOW "Nightmare" music video...

It's not that it is a problem. It's just I want to know the origin of some of these trends. 

These are themes that I've noticed in many VK bands that I don't know why they are so popular? Can someone help me figure it out? ALSO, if you have any other themes that you're curious about that appear in VK, put them in here and maybe we can shine light on the mystery!

 

So here's my questions:

 

What is the obsession with Alice in Wonderland?

What is the obsession with vampire themes?

 

I'm sure there is more things I've noticed, I'm having a block right now though. lol.

Still don't like the vocal for the chorus (mainly the last part) BUT overall the song sounds great!

The beginning part of the chorus reminded me of "Sirus" at first, but still a good preview

I like it, but the mixing I think needs a little work. I think the vocals need to blend in more to the instrumental and some of the instruments need to be popped out more. Overall though, I like the song.

I actually dig both songs that I saw in this thread. Really great stuff!

The chorus will have to grow on me IMO. But everything else was great!

The instrumentals don't sound to bad, but someone else needs to take care of the lyric writing IMO. Most of this sounds terrible overall to me. That being stated, I did enjoy Diary and BREAKTHROUGH.

sucks its just a limited live. I would buy this hands down if it was available at CD Japan or something. Hopefully they'll comeback as a new band and continue making awesome music.

Since I moved, I don't have my recording equipment set up, but I did record some videos of the layout of the songs so people can get an idea of what kind of sound I'd like the band to have (Guitar Pro). A good balance of heavy and melodic with a VK influence. I've upload them on youtube. 

 

That's my general idea of the song too. It's not a bad song, but the production sounds bad. Like the whole song sounds flat to me. It doesn't have a rich quality to it. Perhaps, it is just a low quality audio? I dunno... 

I have to agree. The only part that's kind of annoying is the "yeah yeah yea-yea" but overall Not bad at all. Nice little fun song.

I like this song just not as much as the other stuff they've made. It's just above a typical VK song.

I agree with the above statement. This song sounds more like what I'd find on band's demo. In fact, there is just a lot of things off for this PV. I feel the singer is completely out of place. Like he doesn't seem to fit in the band at all look wise and this song doesn't fit his vocals. The singer's movement are kind of awkward at times too. The snowy location doesn't fit to me. 

Listen to Lycaon's new preview, ViViD's new song and was happy that THIS is the year that the bands who were losing their flare were starting to find their footing again and become great! However, this did not extend to BORN...

I have mixed feelings. This song is nice right now just because it's new, but I feel like it goes by without anything really memorable happening except Koichi's little bass solo. 

@jon_jonz - They DO have some generic stuff, but the way they do it is unique. If that makes sense. For me, most of my freaking has to do with their lyrics and how they are delivered over some cool instrumentals. Chorus lines like "Against" and "Ride Hazard" just seem to take me by surprise. Also, they have some really experimental instrumentals even for their more generic sounding songs "double", "Re:evolution". Also, as stated before, they actually pull off hip hop elements correctly. They're sound and songs are always tight no matter how experimental they get so all that together makes for a really interesting listen.

Very impressed. Didn't think they really had it in them. Song is pretty cool. Looking forward to this.
