To be honest there's a big difference between vkei bangya and people who visit goth, punk, etc. events... I'm scared of vkei fandom and silently enjoying goth life around madame edwarda and related bands... no drama, no bangya fights, no tanuki rumours... 

I would like to continue enjoying avelcain/rands related events, but their fangirls are just the creepiest creatures in the universe (after r-shitei stans...)

@platy most are students, which gives them more time to spend on bands. University in Japan seems to be a bit more lax compared to grade and high school, or even overseas universities. Some are sexworkers, a handful are housewives, a lot of those who work (like me) are 100% devoted to the band outside of work, so they don't have to split their time and money between the band and dating elsewhere/other hobbies. Due to time/money restrictions most don't follow nearly as many bands as western fans do, but devote their time to 1-3 bands. I know a lot work in places where you can exchange shifts with co-workers and such, allowing for more flexibility than a 9-5 job.
