  1. Attending a new one-day 'festival' called Solarfall somewhere fifteen minutes from my hometown in a few hours with Impaled Nazarene (FI), Saille (BE), Thulcandra (DE), Antropomorphia (NL), Dystopia (NL), Evil Invaders (BE), Doghouse Gallows (NL) and Ancient Monstrosity (NL). I initially only desired to attend because of Evil Invaders (they do not fit this bill at all, but oh well), but after listening to Saille and Thulcandra I hope this evening will revolve around more bands besides just them.
  2. With that look I was slightly afraid of what this new single would sound like, but gladly they haven't strayed from their original sound.

'Cause it's what Tumblr girls like, you know.
  4. ^ I've actually seen that happening a lot.

I've conjured up a general idea for a book I'd like to write. I believe it to be unique and not to be existing elsewhere so far. Now the only problem is; where to start?
  6. Lestat

Good luck keeping the bugs out.
  7. I believe Kisaki wrote it correctly, once!
  8. The show that they recorded for this DVD was in May. They probably hadn't written Dedicate To Graveyard back then, and if they had they wouldn't be performing it.
  9. Can someone check that GIGAMOUS release in the lossless section? Apparently it's a corrupt file, or at least my PC says so when I attempt to unzip it.

WinRar, but I found a way around it now.

    4. Show next comments  105 more
  10. On record it might not sound as mesmerizing, but Foolish is one of their most energetic live songs.
  11. Ah, just saw Kisaki's tweet and that was slightly expected. Hopefully this will just be sold on their webstore.

It's probably inconceivable that he'd play big halls here, I heard that during his previous tours in Europe there were barely any tickets sold. For some disastrous and unknown reason I decided against going to his show with YFC in 2012 (I think it was that year?) in Amsterdam, while it's only 40 minutes away from where I live. I am still upset with myself about that, but I am glad I'll get another chance at seeing him live if he comes somewhere remotely close.
  13. Kisaki, you utter tease. You had me all wrecked up with Dedicate to Graveyard and now you promise something new again.
  14. It's a memorial event for Taku, it could easily be phrased like that.

Because we do not blindly accuse artists of such malicious crimes — and this thread doesn't call for nasty and downright inhumane comments like the one you made earlier.
  16. I will end someone if this is the last we see of 凛. The re-recording for Misery is Nothing is absolutely gorgeous. So subtle and refined.

Lily's playing real-life serial killer Aileen Wuornos (who Charlize Theron portrayed in the film 'Monster'), but it only says so far that she's making an appearance in the episode set around Halloween, unfortunately... I don't know what to expect from 'Hotel'. With Lily and Jessica only making minor appearances, it seems they cast has been somewhat pulled apart, but then again; people are fawning over Evan Peters. I was rather impressed with Finn's portrayal of Dandy, so at least he's someone I am looking forward to seeing on the show. Other than that, for me there's Sarah Paulson, Angela Basset and Kathy Bates. I have no idea really about the rest of the cast.
  19. Lestat

They seemed to have made up especially with Lady Gaga keeping everyone in tow this time. Jessica seems to be returning with several cameos though, or at least that's what I've heard. The reason I continued watching the series (despite its faltering quality) was surprisingly not about her, but because I had grown especially fond of Lily Rabe's portrayals. She was particularly great as Misty Day.
  20. So Mao is Kyo, Mizuki is a blond mixture of Aoi and Kaoru, Aki is Toshiya, Kei is Shinya with short hair, and Tsurugi is Uruha?
  21. Can you word this a little better perhaps, @Trombe? It looks like Taku would present this event by how it's written like this, but he has passed away five years ago. It might cause confusion among those who aren't aware of his deceasing. Other than that, this is quite amazing. I am glad Kanata and Yuu haven't entirely left the scene just yet.
  22. I second this. Especially Japanese bands have a tendency of just throwing 'baddass-looking' English words in the mix without them actually representing their sound.
  23. Lestat

Well, that was what I meant, I simply responded to your view on it by explaining that I don't understand why fans are so frustrated when an artist takes a while to release material. I just don't see them as machines who can rip out album after album, and I don't get upset when five years pass before something else is released. Perhaps this is because I've been a fan of non-Japanese metal bands who pretty much do the same thing (taking years before releasing new material), so it doesn't have that much of an impact on me. I personally haven't ever encountered any scene apart from Visual Kei where bands release material so very often.
  24. Lestat

I personally don't see the allure of finding it necessary to push an artist off of the face of the planet as a group of listeners full of spite because they do not like an artist's pacing. He has released enough single-material to cover an album worth of tracks, perhaps even two — and there are enough artists that don't release proper material in over a long time simply because their interests might have traversed elsewhere. It doesn't mean we can write those artists off as big jokes just because he, she, or they are representing themselves as humans with different interests, with periods of rest that they are required to take. Another good example for this is X Japan. I seriously do not care how long it takes Yoshiki to write music or reveal an album. It's his choice, not mine. Certainly new releases are something that can be wished for, but Gackt is someone who has enough material in both his solo career as well as in Malice Mizer that we can live on until something new appears.
  25. Lestat

How many people do still genuinely care for what Gackt does? From what I've noticed, there's been a massive decrease in his popularity — do new fans in the scene simply not care for him? Is there that general statement of him 'being too old' to do music (he's not old at all, that I am aware of, but surprisingly, there are a lot of people who judge music and musicians by age), and is that a reason of why we're seeing so little of him on news websites, this forum, and the general media?
