Well, if you hear a 30-second preview, you will definitely have a few thoughts about it. The only thing I can do is not write my thoughts here until the full song it out, but I can't see how this is such a bad thing. I admit now that I was mostly wrong, because the preview was misleading, that's it. And yes, I was a bit harsh with that comment, I can admit that too.

Same as what exactly? Please point out to me the song(s) from AWAKE or BLISS OUT that even remotely sound like this? I'm really tired of the people who say they haven't changed in five years when that obviously isn't the case. Based on the preview I was referring to with that comment, DEAD BLAZE = RING THE DEATH KNELL pt. 2. If you can't hear the similarity, I don't know what to say. Now that the full song is out, I must say it actually is something new, but the chorus is the worst part of it (like many people have already stated).

Good news! Really liked their last single.

I hadn't heard anything from them before, but this preview sound really good. Will check their older stuffs too.
  5. I think their last album was really good.

Before they went major, they spent approximately 2 years on every album they released. They had 2 years to write IBIM too, but only 1 to write IC. I guess the main problem is not that their label forces them to change their sound, they just simply don't give them enough time. Someone said the same thing on the first page based on some interview (which I'd still like to read, especially now).
  7. Wow, it was really good! Can't wait for better quality!

To me it gets better with every listen. Of course it's not their best or anything like that + I'm still a bit disappointed (because they can do it much better), but I like it.

I have a 120GB iPod, so I never delete anything for space issues. If I remove something, it's because I don't want to scroll over a lot of music I barely listen to anymore. But if I would have a smaller music player, my list would be like this: 12012 (almost everything, except their new shitty album) abingdon boys school (their 2 albums) CaT fisT (everything I have right now) D (some stuff) D'espairsRay (almost everything) DEATHGAZE (mostly their older stuff) DIR EN GREY (almost everything) the GazettE (a few albums/singles etc.) L'Arc~en~Ciel (some albums) lynch. (almost everything) Plastic Tree (some stuff) PLASTICZOOMS (some stuff) (And a lot of non-japanese music.)

I've only listened to it 2 times yet and it wasn't enough to me to form a proper opinion, so maybe I'll change my mind later. For now I think this album is mostly ok, not their best (I'm sure they'll never surpass MASTER OF ROMANCE tbh - hope I'm wrong ), but after RED LINE and METEOR, it was a pleasant surprise to me. I think it works very well as an album and it's clearly more coherent than COLD BLOOD (thanks to not filling the whole album with already well-known singles). My only problem is the first 5 tracks sound too similar to each other, the second half contains far more veriety with two ballads and Rosario + Rain fall. Btw, these last two tracks are my absolute favourites from the album. Already liked Rosario, it was a really fresh thing from them (I know a lot of people dislike this song, don't really get why). About Rain fall... well, even if it sounds like Dearest mixed with RED LINE, I can't help because it's so goddamn catchy. So that's it. I'm not sure if it has more good songs than COLD BLOOD, but as an album it works better.

Listened to the full song now, I think it was ok/decent/whatever. Fortunately they're still far from being bad.

I'm not impressed with their recent stuff either. Yet I overplayed every A-side/PV song they've released so far, so maybe I'll manage to like this too (but for now it's a huge disappointment). One thing is for sure: they can do it way better. And it seems like it was a bad decision to going major after all.

^ I've been saying this for years. But after USELESS SUN, I finally lowered my expectations and tried to accept that they won't really surprise me with anything ever again (which resulted in enjoying their last album way more than I enjoyed BLISS OUT). Anyway, Kyrie33 is absolutely right, it's the same damn song. I guess now they are on another level of unoriginality.
  14. Hmm, one of them would be Galneryus for sure. Though I really like some of their songs (A Far-Off Distance, Alsatia, Cause Disarray etc.), the rest is just... not for me. I only blame myself for not enjoying this kind of music as much as others.
  15. Oh, I can see now. Well the previous C-types at least fit better with the other two than this one (they used the same colours). In most cases I think bands only do this because they (or their management) don't have any good idea/creativity or they're just really bored, but the whole thing doesn't make any sense when they simultaneously make something really good for other editions. Whatever... hope the music will be good.
  16. A and B types are look good, C-type is pretty meh tho. I don't like how a lot of bands come up with cool limited edition and cheap regular edition covers (maybe it's another marketing thing, but if they can produce at least one good cover, why don't they use it on all 2-3-4 type?).
  17. LOL Edit: But yeah, it looks like they are.
  18. Eraser

I think they've never really were a vk band in the first place. The Ambivalent Ideal PV was pretty much their only one visual moment.
  19. UGLY DUCK'S WILL is indeed an interesting choice of title after that "deep" one lol.

Kagerou --> forbidden --> Dearest --> Rain fall But... these kind of songs always get me, no matter how many times I've heard them before (don't really expect any creativity from this band anymore tbh). I must say this is their best since Rosario.

Good covers, but why did they ruin the Regular Edition with such a big text on it? The other one is so much better. The track list is ok, no annoyingly bad titles like "LOOSING MY WAY OF THE PROUD", so that's an improvement I guess.
