Hmm, it's basically a single collection with some b-sides / album songs added, but it's a neat tracklist imo. Though I feel like they should have replaced Heavenly with Silhouette, that song was SO MUCH better. And I'm really surprised to see Smile Again there (always thought I was the only one who liked it, but now I know the band acknowledge it as one of their best too). I understand where you're coming from, but honestly... what's the problem with the timeline? I believe any other cutting wouldn't make no sense. They had a new start with CYCLONE, and they had another one after their hiatus (2010-2012), so I see no problem with the ordering. This band have 3 major chapters in their career, and these albums are featuring the first 2. Not to mention that I couldn't think of a better closure song than over.... (if they were disbanded right after this single, everyone would praising them now).

I'm not familiar with their older stuff, but I really enjoyed their last single "Fukurou" (probably my #1 favorit song of the year). This preview looks like a huge step down to me (both musically and visually), even though I wouldn't call it bad.

Seems kinda pointless to put both single tracks at the end of the album, but let's see how it will turn out.

This PV is pure awesomeness. I have the same feeling as some years ago after watching THE PAIN OF CATASTROPHE PV - I mean, that was the last time when they came up with a good song AND an unexpectedly good video for it. 12012 just proved once again that they are full of surprises.

Why do you think people are hating on SEVEN? I didn't see anything like that in this thread. I think it was their best album since PLAY DOLLs, and its singles (the 2 you mentioned & Usubeni to ame) are all awesome. SEVEN was a nice attempt going back to their darker era after an overly poppish album, while their s/t was an over-the-top release, as if they'd try to compensate for their j-pop years so hard that an "average" dark album can't be enough, they must deliver DIR EN GREY-level heaviness to convince their fans they're over the j-pop thingy. At least that's how this whole thing looks like to me.

This PV spot is exactly what they should have done after SEVEN. The sound, the visuals... even the new logo suit them much better now. They took a semi-new direction overall, yet they managed to keep the best parts of their new style. Just check out their early releases, they were playing dark & heavy music in the first place before turning into j-pop. The "ass poppish gay past music" was a 3-year period out of 10.

I only like the first track. D: Finally! And yea, it looks really good (way better than the CUNNING KILLER-DEICIDA OF SILENCE combo).

FADELESS After hearing the previews, I was sure I will like it (even though it's not perfect & could be much better without overusing the female vocals in the chorus). Their A-sides rarely disappoint me. 7/10 QUIET Expected this to be a lot better since I really enjoy their ballads, but it's just plain boringness to me so far. Hope it will grow on me though. 4/10 FORBIDDEN BEAVER Couldn't listen to it without feeling awkward the whole time. 2/10

^ Well, maybe, but that song doesn't represent the album very well imo. And I don't hear much similarity apart from the pop-ish/happy sound.

Very pop-ish, but I like it so far. Sounds nothing like their last album though.

Sounds good, but this is their first song where the female vocal is actually irritate me a bit. Maybe I'll get used to it, but it seems a little pointless (especially in the chorus, which sounds awesome otherwise).

This & their new pic gave me some hope they'll finally change their sound this time. Now I'm kinda excited for the new EP.

CATFIST - 悲哀なる愛情

I have mixed feelings toward their last EP. While I happened to like the title track (if we forget about that awkward thing in the middle) and some parts of the other songs, the overall thing didn't impress me at all. I just can't deal with their new style, because it still looks like a never-ending bad joke to me. So even if they still write some songs I like, I wish they were go back to 2010 and start it over again (others might say go back to 2006, but I'm only complaining since their s/t).
