So what app do you guys use to record when attending concerts? Sometimes the acoustics of the venue make the audio come out muffled as hell and I was wondering if there's a app that could capture the sound better. Come on, I know people do that in concerts!
-
Thanks for the clarification! I paid $200 to change my flight so these 2 concerts better be a blast!
-
Where did you get the information from....? I couldn't find anything on it on their official site. Is there any info on what the afternoon portion of the concert is about?
-
Don't worry; all of MERRY's DVDs with commentary so far comes with the option to turn it off. [devour act 2] was made as a big deal when the concert was announced (but I can't for the life of me remember WHAT it was) so I was surprised it wasn't released that year but instead got it in a condensed form 4 years later. The Tokyo Spring live was recent and I reckon their DVD sales ain't the best (album sales tend to be much higher than DVD sales in Japan) so they might as well drop it in as an incentive for fans to join the fanclub and/or attend their lives to get that special edition CD. MERRY's DVDs go for reeeeeally cheap prices (even the FC limited ones) in 2nd hand shops (my heart broke whenever I think about those in my closet that I purchased at full price.....) so ya, maybe releasing a CD coupled with a DVD (at a much higher price) makes more sense than a standalone DVD.

For that price, and only a watered-down version (they cut off some songs that was performed that day) of those 2 concerts zzzzzzzzz

I booked my plane tickets to reach Tokyo on 7th July for ANDROGYNOUS, only to have this known to me.... Will be paying penalty and extra $ to change my flight for this....

No one's discussing about Hazuki singing 'ain't afraid to die' during his solo acoustic concert? http://livesetlist529.blog133.fc2.com/blog-entry-19069.html

Saw MERRY in Liquidroom for their 2009 Underworld [BURST]Tour final and during the set, I was sub-consciously digging my nose (I know, I know....) and my eyes and Gara's met (I'm a Asian dude). Gara then smiled and proceeded to violently dig HIS nose with all his fingers, one at a time and then licked all his fingers while glancing in my direction with a crazed look. Good times!

Ha, I did the same homework as you (checking visunavi, ticketcamp & eplus) but there really is nothing during the period for me. I'm there for holiday but SADS's tour date is too far away for me (got to stay 3 weeks to catch it). I already saw them in 2014 so its fine XD 女王蜂's tour final is on 1st July at Zepp Divercity, and SIM's deadpop festival is on 1st & 2nd July: http://www.deadpopfest.com/bands.html which includes Maximum the hormone, coldrain and crossfaith. I'm holding my hopes up for the next few weeks (haven't bought the air tickets yet) though I have gotten my arena area concert tics via 1st round DEG FC balloting. I'll be going from Singapore with a friend though. Might eventually just settle for the 2 day DEG/Pierrot concert then fly back cos I have plans to catch cali gari's 15th anniversary & Buck-tick's 30th anniversary concerts in Sep as well. Adding to the discussion on DEG & PIERROT's popularity, @jaymeesaid it best on Pierrot flawlessly bridging between mainstream & VK, with their image & songs not too 'aggressive' & 'weird' as compared to DEG. 'cocoon' was a very big seller on oricon then and the getbackers anime tie-up propelled them into mainstream consciousness. They played saitama super arena (capacity of 20000+) regularly before they disbanded while DEG's biggest venue thus far is nippon budokan (capacity of 13000+?), though it might be a deliberate decision.

I'm attending both, but I can't find any other concerts to leech onto during the period other than lynch in Saitama on 11th July GRRRRRRR
-
Erm, its not so much of restarting activities but rather, doing a couple of concerts as SADS in July like what they always do the last few years. Though they might have surprises up their sleeves like live limited singles/DVDs. Regarding the old bassist; did the article go into detail why he was fired? I thought he blended well with the rest in lives.

To get demo-version songs of the upcoming album, you have to buy this download and both normal & limited versions of the album.

1st day's at kochi on 15th July. Nope, can't post the rest of the venues/dates from the FC newsletter in case I get tracked down and my membership revoked and banned from their concerts forever ha

Thanks for he clarification! Argh, 15mins for an encore is too much IMO.
-
Erm, why would so many people leave between the encores? To catch the last train? Or were they *ahem* paid to attend?
-
What did Aiji fuck up previously? I only know that Pierrot broke up cos Aiji is determined to leave the band to form LM.C. While a DVD of it is up in the air, there is bound to be a live broadcast of it, given the popularity of the bands.
-
They are from different labels so most probably there wouldn't be a DVD release.
-
I never got how Japanese bands price their tickets; is it via popularity? Charging 7500 yen regardless of the venue (small live houses, large halls)?
-
Wait, what? Do you mean the type A DVD that came with the single?
-
Could you share the link to the report? Thanks!
