While I agree somewhat with what Incogneeto said, that's because I'm thinking about old friends. When I was depressed, they didn't care one bit, they just ignored me, they weren't interested in why I felt that way, they just didn't care. But now, with the recent ones I've made through my college years, they want to stay in touch with me after planning to move away. They want to spent time with me. They CARE if I haven't said why I'm off from college, they worry. They want to know what's wrong and try to get to the bottom of it. If I say I'm sad or angry, they give me space. If I'm just too hurt, they'll be there for comfort. It's the little things that makes relationships important to me.
Because they understand, care and love, that's all I need in a friends. Friends can be found and kept for many, many years. If you don't have that, then those people just aren't for you. While I've always felt like everyone only cares about themselves, there are those kind enough, even if you don't know them, to take a bullet for you. So, you're wrong in that. Friends are important just as much as family and some don't even have family. They can and will be found in everyone's lives. 
I went into full flow with this discussion but I quoted Nyasagi because, that is so true. As I said above, it takes time with the right people!!

I disagree that friends care only about themselves. My real life friend helped me a lot when I was in a difficult situation. It's rare, but it does happen. I'd do the same for her, if I could.

I think Shadows and The Avoided Sun are top notch album, while Greedy Dead Souls, The Buried and I Believe in Me are very good albums. The little I've heard from post-I Believe in Me have been a massive yawn. No thank you.
 
Never really got the "hate" for I Believe in Me in me either. Great poppy rock.

Fixed so that I can say "agree with you there".
 
But really, they need to go back to experimenting. Another SHADOWS would be the exact thing to make up for how they've been disappointing their fans with the recent recycled material.

Welcome to the 25 days of MH-mas! What is that you might ask? Well, the MH official reviewers and the staff have gotten together in an attempt to create a list of out favorite releases from 2014 (excluding December). Every day of the month we will be posting a new album until we reach the number one release on our list on Christmas day. Yo everyone. I'm a guy from Finland who has been interested in Japanese culture and music, especially a bit heavier one since... 2005'ish or something. I'd say Gazette, An cafe and Miyavi were the first ones I listened to, but nowadays I prefer deathcore, progressive rock and grunge-esque music, but also umm... I don't really know where to categorize Finnish bands as Rubik and Pariisin Kevät, but they are awesome too! Such variety, many bands, wow. I also like to make terrible jokes and I like memes, especially doge. Doge is love, doge is life... ok not really, but you get the point. I love video games and manga and anime and yada yada from Evangelions to shamisens and so on. I also play LoL on both EU servers, so if someone wants to play, feel free to message me!
 
Yea that pretty much sums up my dull life at the moment... I guess ^^'

X JAPAN new CD is planned to be completed in 2015/04, although details have not yet been announced

I picked up their "Ice Romancer" single off the shelf today, gave that a few whirls and man.....I gotta say, I really miss their old sound. It wasn't super original but it was so Sadie.
'Recall' is such a good song too.

That's perfectly fine that VK no longer sustains your interests - just be wary of allowing your shift in opinion to digress into some kind of hypocritically jaded hatred for the scene and it's fans.
I say this because all too often people who experience these kinds of evolutionary moments in their musical journeys feel the need to criticize, belittle and demean their past phases in an attempt to validate their current interests. One needn't do that, because when it comes to music, your tastes are substantial regardless of what you listen to and regardless of what anyone else thinks.
Although I definitely understand the need to have your tastes validated...it's something that feeds the ego (which i think we're all hardwired to do). But once you realize how purely ego-driven it all is, then I think you'll realize how fruitless of an endeavor seeking such validation can be and that music taste (in this case your shift in music taste) isn't that big of a deal.
But hey, none of us are supreme enlightened beings (except for Bear - he's pretty perfect ^__~) and we're all guilty of seeking validation and just wanting to reaffirm ourselves in many ways. So to answer your question again - is it a bad thing that you've lost interest in VK? Absolutely not! Listen to whatever appeals to you - just remember that everything appeals to someone, so even if you've lost interest in it, at least try to maintain some level of respect for the scene and it's fans. ;3

Hi guys! With the new Pokemon games coming up, I just wanted to big up my lil bro's artwork! He's been doing a ton of speed drawings and gameplay videos in the run up to the UK release of the games so please show him some love! Because VK isn't a genre? And yeah, people "growing out" of a music scene were probably in it for wrong reasons in the first place. So I guess uh... do what everyone else does and go listen to kpop instead because it's so much more ~*~mature~*~ *shrug*

Intriguing to be in heaven even before I've died, but I'll leave that aside for now.
 
Actually, have been lurking in the news and reviews sections even before joining up. Stumbled upon the heaven thanks to some blog mentioning it as sauce. Signed up for certain, uh, conveniences in stalking, and found out about the downloads sections which was a plus.
 
As for myself, nothing much to say. From some random shitty south asian country. Turned seventeen a couple of weeks ago.
Can be still considered a noob, since I started listening to music only since a few years ago. Took on rock in '11, and started on metal around the start of this year.
 
Since the people I dealt with till that time were anything but music enthusiasts (mostly pop listeners, and I don't remember liking pop at any age), had to look up stuff myself. Reason being why I started from anime theme performers and ended up in VK.
 
Anyways, among the artists I've checked out so far, the ones I like include Dir en grey, the GazettE, Versailles, Rin Toshite Shigure, Rentrer en Soi, Deathgaze, lynch., Plastic Tree, Awoi, Lin, girugamesh, exist trace, Luzmelt, Nocturnal Bloodlust, R-Shitei, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Diaura, D'espairsRay ect.
 
Though some artists had style changes that I dislike, would ignore that.

People don't know how to love themselves, when no one shows them how to love. To be able to love, you have to learn it. (I don't know how to love, I don't like my kind of love. It's like walking around in the dark panicked, bumping into stuff, and being obsessed with the thoughts of getting out.)
 
When your friends make you feel lonely, maybe they aren't good for you? I'd rather be alone, than hang out with wrong people. I value only the ones I completely get along with, who don't make me lonely and uneasy, who understand me, and whom I can understand too.
 
Strangers may be more supportive than family, in my opinion. My feelings related to the "family" word are rather mistrust, pain. That's because I can't rely on my family. Every case is different.

It sounds like an-ear friendly, melodic Dum Spiro Spero. I'm a big fan of the samples so far; DEG definitely seem to be going for more memorable, anthemic tunes this time round. I think most people will agree when I say DSS was a very difficult listen in comparison.
