doombox got a reaction from relentless in BABYMETAL
There's a lot of long time metalheads who like it, though. Some people aren't so rigid that they can actually enjoy metal mixed with other styles.
If you don't like it, that's cool. But I really hate when people assume "only idiots like this". A lot of people enjoy cheesy and fun things. Metal is a genre that often takes itself way too seriously. I think Babymetal offer people a break from that.

You cant take what he wrote for serious , there are a hell lot of ppl who started to listen to Babymetal because of the ppl who work on composing those songs , not just cause there are 3 cute girls . There is even a song composed by Yuyoyuppe , not to mention im more interested in seeing their live DVD's especially cause of their new Kami band members like Leda and Takayoshi Ohmura , not to mention Ryo from Blood Stain Child who was one of the former Kami . -

doombox reacted to sai in New banner poll #1
The poll has been closed!
The winner is Kagrra, and I will start work on the banner as soon as possible! Please look forward to seeing it pop up somewhere next week
Also, keep your eye out for future polls and keep posting your suggestions in this thread right here!

doombox got a reaction from enyx in R.I.P. plug.dj
I don't know if it's been said, but we could do a VK only night, too. I also agree with having 2-3 weeks before doing female only again. It could get a little monotonous while we're still new to having set themes. And I think it's good to have the free for all nights in between the themes so people who might not have had anything they knew to play the week before get a change to step back in.

I voted for MUCC, but how can you argue with Kagrra, in the lead? Can't go wrong there.

DuelJewel are oldschool, they've been around since '97. Hayato does have an interesting neo-classical style about his voice, and his voice is a bit lower than a typical vk singer so he's always stood out, imo.
Dangit, Cat. MUCC and Wagakki Band, howwwww. Get it together! XD
But yeah, for current MUCC you can start with END OF THE WORLD or their last album Shangri-La. That'll give you what they're all about these days. The farther back you go the darker and more alt. metal they get.
*throws CDs at you until you listen to them* That Death From Above 1979 will not disappoint you, I promise!
There is really a lot of cool stuff coming out of the Korean rock scene, it's just not half as accessible as their Japanese counterparts and the pop artists tend to hog all the spotlight so these kind of bands get lost in the shuffle. I'm happy to give some a little time in the sun, especially bands like Life and Time who deserve it.
Hey, thanks for taking the time to go through the list. That's just about as daunting a task as it was to make it. lol.

I never heard Kokusyoku Sumire before, really interesting! I'll have to check more of her/their music out. I got into NOBARA with her last album, but I didn't realize she was in another band before. Thanks for that info.
I'm gonna have to get that album, this band is right in my wheel house. Love it!
So sad I missed the boat on AYA, I am living for that grunge. That first song has riffs straight outta Nirvana almost. So good. omg. And of course I love UNLIMITS.
I never heard of NecRoCirCuS before, sounds like they're disbanded though? And I miss Decola Hopping so much. ;; I kept waiting to hear what Suiya was up to hoping she'd have a new band but I never saw anything.
I was so sad when Foreground Eclipse disbanded, they were one of my first Japanese metalcore/doujin bands too. Kyojaku. (I hope that's the right romanization?) are really interesting! I'd like to hear more from them. And I have heard 7Years To Midnight before but I never knew anything about the members. That's so cool, she's a beast!!
I never heard of bomi before, but I am liking her! And Ame no parade are great, they've been a staple in my playlist this last year.
I really like Silent Siren too, but I haven't gotten to check out their full releases yet. I should get on that. First time hearing Clammbon, but I hope not the last. I really liked them. And plug.dj sessions have schooled me on Jun Togawa's flawlessness, new personal idol, tbh. XD
Classics! Shounen Knife were one of the first Japanese "girl punk" bands I ever heard. And their lyrics seriously are the cutest. lol.
Well you were definitely help in the idea stage, if we hadn't talked about it, I probably wouldn't have made it to begin with! XD
I think Aural Vampire is a group you, I and Fictioninhope are crazy about. lol. Really consistently good for a long time now. I never heard of LOVE PSYCHEDELICO before but I'm diggin' them. I'll look into more of their music (omg from this and the eoty lists I have so much I'm drowning in new music hahaha). And I got into BLOOD STAIN CHILD back when they had a male singer. I never got into Sophia (more for personal reasons I won't go into here) but I'm eager to see how the new vocalist works out since Sophia's departure.
And don't feel bad I have so many more to talk about that I left out just so this thread has room to grow. lol. I'm so happy to see this many responses though!! I left for a day and the thread kind of exploded. XD
