Update from their official fb: I'm gutted for a multitude of reasons. But I hope Kazuki recovers alright. They've been touring non-stop for a few years now. it's not a total surprise injuries are showing up.

Crossfaith just canceled the rest of their concert dates in the US so add all those east coast tickets me my losses. It really sucks when you're out 1500$ and you never even got to leave your house. Remind me not to ever plan in advance again ever.

Maybe I'm not the norm in this situation but I buy mostly limited editions from specific bands only for the music video and BTS stuff. Especially making of PVs. If I really like the art direction of a band it's worth it to me because 1,) I get to see the band being themselves and creating things, 2,) I don't trust that my favorite PVs will remain on youtube. In this very case, MUCC the main Japanese band I follow, doesn't allow their PVs viewed in my country anymore. So purchasing the PV is the only way I can see it repeatedly whenever I want to. Reuploads on other sites like daily motion have a high likelyhood of getting pulled down. And I agree with your mom, any MJ music video documentary is worth its weight in gold. His videos were practically movies unto themselves.

Maybe, but really a music video is still a promotional tool in most of the western music industry. And as far as I know that's why in Japan they always called them PVs. I think that's why we're seeing a lot of "short version" being thrown around now. As far as I know (feel free to correct me on this) selling individual music videos with releases is a fairly recent practice? Before I only ever really saw them on DVD releases where you got live/tour documentary style footage and a collection of music videos. I literally just watched a "short ver" of UNiTE. that was an entire 30 seconds. I don't understand why they just don't call it a preview/clip. But this is how they want to do it now, I guess.
