Ah. OG Morning Musume...back when my kamioshi Ayappe was still in the group. Good times. Ever since Aichan and Gaki graduated, all of these newer fans that popped have been ruining the fandom. If you're over the age of 20, you're considered a closet pedophile/creep regardless of gender. I was called a super creep and I'm a female by the newer fans. I quit interacting with the fandom after that. Talking about Momusu, Hello!Project idols are my biggest guilty pleasure ever. I've been listing to them since Love Machine came out. To bad the people currently in the fandom sucks big time.

This is what I got this past week. I finally got my hands on a copy of Billy & The Sluts' 7th Anniversary album, which seems to be the only release by them that's never up on Y!AJ or go for an outrageous price. Last months' Cure and Shoxx. I only posting it because it came today with the CDs I got. A-CHIEF - Nazaris (Original pressing, because I am not buying the CD-R repressing that CDJapan has. Now, I need to find a copy of the I Love You Forever single.) Billy & The Sluts - 7th Anniversary (Finally! My BATS collection is complete outside of demotapes.) Naoki Project - Bitter & Sweet (Bought this off of the lovely Hyura...because I have an unhealthy obsession with early FWR artists.)
  3. I want to say that I received my purchased today. It came in extremely great condition. ♥

Steven Tyler needs to hope Joe Perry is healthy enough or doesn't kick the bucket before 2017 after his recent hospital trip. If Joe is still alive by next year, I bet in five years time Aerosmith will be back on the road. How many times has The Who said similar crap? Too many to count.

So my boyfriend had a show yesterday at a town two hours away; he took me to the local record store up there to go shopping as a reward for helping him lug his drum kit all the way up there and back home. This is what I purchased, which is mostly Western artists. Danger Danger - S/T New York Dolls - One Day It Will Please Us To Remember Even This ABBA - Super Trouper Backyard Babies - Total 13 Thee Michelle Gun Elephant - Gear Blues (USA Pressing) Pizzicato Five - Happy End of the World (USA Pressing) The Dogs D'amour - I Don't Want You To Go

My boyfriend and I play it together when we go on walks. We always some how end up on the other side of our podunk, river-front town because we get too into it. In my town we have this tiny river-front park that no one ever goes to because it is always flooded 80% of the time. It has five pokestops right next to each other which you can just sit right next to one and get the other four without walking. A bunch of my friends and co-workers got arrested on Wednesday night because they were at the park past curfew and the cops thought there was a huge meth sale going down at the park. Other than that, my town is having a "Pokemon Go" marathon walk for the animal shelter tonight and another one for a cancer charity in a couple of weeks.

I never have read that Gargoyle consider themselves not VK. I know Buck-Tick has been saying since the 1990s that they weren't VK, but never Gargoyle. I'm pretty sure back in the day, Gargoyle performed with a bunch of early VK bands such as X and Kamaitachi. Former member She-ja was a member of Sister's No Future. Kiba used to have a radio show with former BY-SEXUAL member, Ryo, several years ago. In recent years, Gargoyle mostly perform with VK bands or guys formerly from VK bands of their era: Jolly Pickles, Aura, Tokyo Yankees, Ladies Room, Billy & the Sluts, The Dead Pop Stars, test-No., The Slut Banks, Valentine D.C., among others. They even done shows with Kamijo, UCHUSENTAI:NOIZ, and Dacco. If they have actually said they are not a visual kei band, they're making it real hard not to call them a non-VK band when they perform with VK bands so much. They might have performed with metal bands like Earthshaker and 44Magnum, but you will see them playing with their VK peers more than their Japameta peers. I don't see how The Alfee would be consider VK, unless you're basing it off of Takamizawa's image alone. Sakazaki and Sakurai have always been normal looking people. Takaizawa is more '80s metal cheese ball than VK. I always compare his image thing to something like Malmsteen's cheesy image. With Kishidan, I always considered them as a parody band or something similar to Slade, the '70s glam rock band, image wise. I'm pretty sure Japan sees Kishidan as a parody band regarding their image, as well.

I know in the early '90s scene, bands split just as fast as they do now. The only difference is that they would release a couple of demo tapes instead of several single. The bands that were popular would also release an EP, maybe an LP if you're lucky, before disbanding within a year or two. This might actually apply to the '90s era of visual kei, but I haven't really gone hunting for/researching of random one-off bands that were around the mid to late '90s. I really haven't been following active VK bands since 2005, after I had a major falling out with the genre. When I got back into in 2007-ish, might have been late 2006, I started to mostly listen to old disbanded bands because I didn't want the disappointment of a band that I really like disbanding or going really sour before disbanding. Every now and then, I would check out a new band or two and return to my old disbanded bands. The only bad thing about my stubborn way is that the super old farty bands I like have a thing of reuniting every so often and release a super sub-par album. (Looking at you, Billy & the Sluts.) Sometimes, I get stuck with the only active member of a band being the one I don't like, but I still follow them because I want to believe that there may be a chance that they might reunite. *cough*Kamaitachi & Kenzi*cough* In the past couple of years, I've been buying random singles and albums of bands that were released from 2007 to now, regardless on the band's current status. I am sadden that a few of the bands I missed the chance of interacting with the fandoms while the bands were still around, but that's something I have to deal with myself. The only advice I can give is that you can stick with the old disbanded bands you liked six years ago or you can get your feet wet and try some newer bands.
  9. The first CD I ever bought was... the OST for the first Pokemon movie when I was 10 years old. I had to beg my parents to let me buy it because they though pop music at the time was too sexual, which is weird because they were both into glam metal bands which lyrics weren't any better. The first Japanese music CD I bought was... L'arc-en Ciel's Smile when I was 15 years old. I was actually looking for the "X Japan - Best" DVD/CD release and found this instead at a local FYE. I ended up getting the X Japan thing a month later at the same store. At the time, I was super into Laruku, so I was bouncing around the store with the CD being the happiest weeaboo ever. This album is probably my favorite by Laruku and one of my favorite J-rock albums of all time.

  11. I totally forgot I had a request to upload several old Free-Will omnibus albums I own that's from a couple of months ago.

    pbciTSHl.jpg

These three to be exact.  As I am a dumbass, I deleted the old message a while ago and forgot who exactly requested these.  (Great one, Ikki.)

So now I'm trying to figure if I should rip them as FLAC or MP3.  Or does anyone really care?

      Atreides

I am interested, but I would prefer them in MP3 as my hard drive is starting to run low on space.

One of my roommates is a HUGE Berserk fan, he re-read his copy of the manga to be prepared for this. He woke me up this morning screaming at me that they made Casca white. With how much he goes on and on about how amazing Berserk is and I really want to like this. I can deal with bad animation, I managed to get through Knights of Sidonia with it's bad CG animation. I'm just hoping the next episodes will be a little better, especially that it would be a waste of a good musical score if this ends up bombing.
  13. Ikki

I just watched the first episode of the new Berserk anime and I haven't seen this crappy of animation in a long time. This is saying a lot as I have a thing for watching horribly animated shows. The CG looks like I'm playing Dark Cloud 2 on the Playstation 2. The episode itself was very bland with the plot, but I haven't read the manga and I haven't watched the original TV anime since way back in the day, so I don't know how much was axed for the episode. I'll probably watch at least another episode before I'll decide if I will drop it. As for other series, I really don't see anything that catches my eye. I'll probably watch a bunch of the first week episodes to see if there is anything interesting.

Today I got me two anime figurines. Fist of the North Star's Shuu (I am not writing that out as Shew) Jojo's Bizarre Adventure - Higashikata Josuke I included a picture of both figures out of the box so there would be a non-glaring box picture. I'll probably re-post them later. I really like that my Josuke figure has similar portions to my FotNS figures, so when I get more figures of both series, I can have "crack pairing" battles on my book shelves.
  16. Someone just gave me 5000 points on Jpopsuki because I put a FLAC version of NéiL - Razor on the tracker.  I'm sitting in shock because that person must have had a hell of a pile of points just wasting away to give me that much.

This is more of my boyfriend's opinion than my own, but he thinks that Aion's NOV is taking a massive dump when ever he hears this song.

I think hide will release another "after-death" solo single before anything produced by Yoshiki will get released.

Nothing too special today. I usually never post when I get my SHOXX and Cure subscription stuff, but I got something else today that I was going to post anyways... Here's my Loudness-era Sawada Taiji bass pick that also came with a Loudness sticker. A closer picture of the pick. Unlike my Mogwai (Kamaitachi) and Marry (Color) picks, this one has a lot lighter playing wear on the backside.
  21. Ikki

I finally got my Loudness poster. A better close up of the band. I am a bit disappointed that it was a matte poster and not a glossy poster. However, I'm super happy I got a poster of Loudness, especially one of my favorite line-up. In the next couple of weeks, I'm supposed to be getting a crap ton of stuff. Mostly early '90s J-rock and '90s VK albums with a few other things sprinkled in. The only real gems I'm getting is a Loudness-era Sawada Taiji bass pick and two Color concert VHS tapes.
  22. Ikki

I've been wondering where his crazy ass has been. Attitude has to be the worst thing I have seen produced by him and I really haven't heard much from him after Taiji's death. However, I will never forget D. Tommy's horrible "dance" moves from Color's シャミーズ キャット PV.
  23. Ikki

Loudness - Loudness (original 1992 release, first pressing): I only bought this version opposed to the two newer reissues because I wanted the bonus booklet. Loudness - 8186 Live Octopus Cult - Smashing Peaceful Society Strawberry Fields - Kaleidoscope VHS Billy & the Sluts - One (~Just the way you are~) VHS An issue of PLUM and EX-CITE featuring Kamaitachi and an issue of Rockin' F featuring Ladies Room. Two Kamaitachi magazine posters and a Color Magazine poster. I don't have it yet, but I finally bought this Masaki-Taiji era Loudness poster. I've been wanting this poster for years.
  24. Ikki

I'm too lazy to list everything I got, but I forgot to take a picture of the Loudness live album I got at the store the other day. I'll probably take a picture of that when I get my Rinkya package next week. Right after I took the pictures, my boyfriend ran off with my Neil, Phobia, La'Mule, and Due'le Quartz CDs.
