BYEE the ROUND OHP MYSPACE Well, it seems that BYEE the ROUND will release a new album at the 11th of May. Strange, because it will be pretty soon after their album, 'Another Girl Please' (a bit more, than a year, I think), but still, I got the an e-mail today, also saying, that it will cost 2300 JPY. So I guess, for this price, we'll get an album. (No DVD, since the e-mail stated, that it will be a CD.) I'm intrested, loved their latest releases!

Forgot to add doom/stoner metal. I'm VERY picky, when it comes to these styles, but bands like Electric Wizard are one of my favourites.

Seconded. Even though I liked DM's albums 'Train Of Thought' and 'Images and Words', and I think that they are very talented and technical musicians, but they are just unable to write _intresting_ songs - I don't care that their drummer is the best prog-rock drummer, and so on, most of their songs are only technical masturbation for me. I get the same feeling listening to some The Dilinger Escape Plan songs too. Nearly the whole trance genre. (Psytrance is an exception.) Maybe my hate for trance roots in my gymnasium days, when one of my classmates/friends, who was crazy about Tiesto used to play us trance songs at nearly every house party, even though we hated it, but still, I couldn't get into it. It's just not my cup of tea. Crunkcore = instant headshot. ...and it's not really the music, but it makes me want to die, when a person complains, that classical music is better than any other musical style, because it's _classical music_, and you use violin, piano and such, instead of drums or guitar. I understand, if a person finds classical music more pleasing to the ears, but this kind of singing is just snobism in my eyes.

I think this song is one of my all-time favourites.

The type of jazz bands like Bohren & der Club of Gore play - you might want to check Bohren's first album, 'Gore Motel'. The core of the music is Black Sabbath like doom, but with some twists in it. Also, some people use the term for bands like The Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble, Swami Lateplate (one of their album's title is also 'Doom Jazz') or the Venetian Snares Vs. Bong-Ra project.

IDM / Glitch-hop Ambient (mixed with noises/field recordings/IDM) Jazzy hip-hop, if the MC has a good flow, and the music itself is intresting, not just some boring beats. Lush/raw vocals Deep, barithone vocals Technical/math rock, and prog-rock, only if it's not just about 'oh look how technical we are and we can write so complex songs' Doom-jazz Acoustic instrumentation Piano Cinematic soundscapes

夢中夢 appear to have lost their members and might be on some sort of hiatus, another release/any activity from them would be great. This would make me endlessly happy. They have released such wonderful music, I'd really love to hear from them again. Thirded. Also, the oldschool DeathWatchAsia label and all the related bands, mostly Jet Pepper Tower. Their song, 'Nocturnal Cabaret' was one of the best songs on 'Dark Waters' but that song is pretty much all I could find from them. I see thay they are performing with other artists, which is good, but I want them to release an album - I only know about a live-only CD-R (maybe this), but judging from their MySpace and videos, they have enough songs for an album. I would be also happy, if DeathWatchAsia would start to promote the japanese goth/industrial scene again - as I can see from their website, they are promoting many industrial bands, like Angelspit, Grendel, and so on, but there aren't any words about a new BAAL, Demonoid13, Sins Of The Flesh, Despair, sawDUST In Me release - DWA got me into the japanese goth/industrial scene, and I bought nearly all of their records, so I would really love to see them, getting back to their older way, doing a heavier promotion for these bands. Fox Loco Phantom should return from activity pause as soon as possible, and there are a couple of bands which should release something new - silver spoon eyeball, 6Eyes, for example. As far as musicians are concerned, I would love to see that Mako from deadman is active again.

The King's Speech The duo of Geoffrey Rush and Colin Firth was brilliant, and the whole film was just awesome. I really loved it, and the soundtrack went perfectly with the film.

Source: this and this article. Unfortunately, I can't fully understand the texts, but it seems, that after their gig at the 15th of March, at 下北沢 SHELTER, they will be on hiatus, which they call a 'charging period'. Don't really want to go into theories, since I couldn't really understand the texts, but I think, it's simular to Fox Loco Phantom's 'activity pause' - they worked too hard, too much concerts, and so on, and they got tired of it, it would explain why they call it charging period. Still, I'm wishing them the best, and hope, that they'll be back soon!
