  1. Well Zess we will see , i was never swayed by the single-album release stuff you said about . BTW there are some VK bands that still can do it good , like NoGod , Mejibray , SID , Matenrou Opera , D , they all can release albums that are quite good . Im still missing D'espairs Ray . Thats why i was do dissapointed in this album , cause i know there are VK bands that can nail it good with a full album , example would be the new Duel Jewel album that ive reviewed for a webzine in my country and i gave it a 9/10 score .

Newer said they are bad , just not the level of bands like Infernal Revulsion . Death I Am are good , but they stil have a little far from bands of both genres they play , from Death Metal , bands like Infernal Revulsion are way better , from Deathcore , well there is not much Deathcore in japan , but old Nocturnal Bloodlust was way better . For the second genre they could learn a thing or two from bands like Revenge The Fate on how to do it in a way that just works better . For now lets just see what the guys do on their next album .
  3. Kinda of a let down, they shared the same fate as all VK bands from good and interesting to mediocre and even boring, kinda like what happened with NOCTURNAL BLOODLUST, altough NB was not a VK band from the start. Kinda miss the good old NB from the time of the demo recordings when they still where a 7 piece awesome Deathcore band. Arlequin ended up similar, from great Melodic Death Metal/Melodic Metalcore band they turned to be another Alternative Metal/Metalcore VK crap. Whats wrong with this world, are the VK artists so obsessed of getting the 1st place in top 100 mainstream band that they gonna do everything possible to make it happen? Overall the album is one big fail and ive had a hard time to listen to it, not to mention find at least one song that got me hooked in. And after finishing my first listen i was almost in tears, not from joy, rather from sadness that ive wasted so much time on something like this, very similar to what happened to me after listening to Gangsta. My rating 3/10, for fans of New VK, both metal fans, and oldschool VK fans will not like this at all.

  8. kurenaishineek

Its again this time of the year , so i though lets make something out of it , so anyone can post here his or hers favorite japanesse/korean winter and xmas songs , original or covers whatever suits you . Post this as a link to youtube or other streaming sites , if its nowhere to be found post just the title . I could post around 300 songs cause ive had 3 full mp3 cds but it would be now fun if i would be the only one posting the songs i know , so lets start the xmas time on MH right now . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WBiCHPXb9Dw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dd00Qhzv0Xs For starters those five songs , if you want to listen those in better quality make a request and i will upload them .
  9. kurenaishineek

Did not listen to them for over 2 years now . But they still cant really reach the level of bands like Veiyadra , Myocardial Infarction or Infernal Revulsion .
  10. kurenaishineek

For a full album we will have to wait till the next year probably .
  11. Altough they dont specify when the new single will come out , they just wrote out that it will in a few days , i thought ill write this as a news , so keep out an eye on itunes for their new Digital Single . The single will contain only one song , the cover of Britney Spears "Baby One More Time" if you cant wait get a listen to it on their youtube channel . Seems the guys from MergingMoon will not release this as another free to download song , and that kinda disappointed me , but also i was disappointed , cause i would love to hear Yu sing this .
  12. kurenaishineek

Monster of course , Music was already at the part where it was hard to call it good , it was average and the last album where they still got onto something . Monster is the first album where they again start to sound like rock not pop rock band , and had a lot of songs ive liked like Drain and Incomplete , and if i would have to mentiona good song from Music it would be hard as most of them sounded similar to each other and where a little too repeatable . Of course if the question was for the best album theyve released it would be for sure Reason for Crying , Freesia is still one of the most beautiful heavy ballad on my playlist .
  13. kurenaishineek

This is one of the best VK and Hard Rock albums this year and will probably be on my personal top 10 on the first place in both categories , especially cause this year just lacks a good hard rock album at least as long as B'z will not surprise us with something while getting out from their slumber .

If i have to pick any of those two i would say NIL , at this point it was still somehow listenable , but on the other hand it was the album that started to kill this band and DIM was the finishing blow . Altough i still try all their new releases i have a hard time finding anything that would pull me in , and when i find it , it turns out its the only song in the whole album . Thats why from those two i have to say NIL cause there where 2 or 3 songs i liked on it where DIM had none . Altough my taste in music changed a lot from the time DIM was released so i check it out one more time and will see if something changed here . Positive changes for DIM , at my current taste DIM sounds much better than NIL and is more listenable , and this album has a good chance to stay a little longer on my HDD .

Clandestined , probably best Thrash Metal from Japan , also newest album from Swarrrm , altough on the later im so angry and aggressive that ive already punched some ppl who where doing to much noise while i was listening to that new album , well too much noise would be a little farfetched it was just a question about what am i listening to right now .
  16. kurenaishineek

Checked every link in Opera , all are working without any problems .

As its only one song this review will be rather short , still its worth to mention this . Okay so looking at the single its only 1 song in 4 versions , and as one is only and instrumental track im gonna focus my review on the other 3 versions . The standard version of the song is an awesome rock ballad with piano and symphonic elements . Hyde's voice is as always awesome , and ive missed ballads made by him , so this song totally hits where needed . The song opens up with a beautiful piano intro that made the perfect mood for this romantic sounding ballad , after this the piano continues and Hyde jumps in with the vocal part . Well its engrish so cant say much , but that could be expected from Hyde . Then the rock part starts , the guitar work is perfect in this song you can hear the work of two veterans in this , they know what they do , and they know they do it good . But i wouldnt be myself if i wouldnt point some bad sites of this , so well , em .... okay seriously something is wrong with me cause i have a hard time pointing something bad in this song . Maybe cause the last time ive heard such a great rock ballad was 10 years ago or even more . The second version is the Piano one , the song has only the piano accompaniment with Hyde singing the song but this time in japanese . Okay cant say anything bad about this one either , the songs sound more sad with only the piano , more like a sad love story , but still manages to move me to tears . The third version is a remix made by Kevin Breton , dont really know who this guy is , and kinda felt the remix was a little too lively , its more of a techno party song , than a balld this way and it lost all its charm , but its a remix so i was expecting generally nothing much . Summary : The single is ... uh ... well short , there is only one song here , so i kinda feel unsatisfied here and i really want more . Also i would love to hear the original version of this song sung in japanese instead english or at least a japanese version added in as well . Other that this the album is great and the song is perfect , and one of the best rock ballads in years . Score : Single 7/10 , short and a japanese version of the song would be more awesome . Song 10/10

As there is a topic for the opposite , why not a topic , for this soooo go . In my book non japanese bands doing japanese covers deserve at least a honorable mention . So im gonna start with tributing one of the best oldschool VK bands in Japan , and altough its a long time since ive listened to them and there are bands i would love to hear more now , they still have a sentimental place in my heart . Love this as much as the original . This version dragged out the epicness of this song . And now a japanese band reborn , okay not really reborn , its some american dudes using the name of japanese band . I dont really know if miz was the first artist who played this song . Still here is a cover made by a singer known in my country , well shes not Polish , but she sings this song in Polish . Well altough i dont know if this should count as a cover or more as an rearanged song , cause the lyrics are not translated ones but originals . The Original song or at least i think its the original is Miz - Amazing (released in 2004 , only sung in english) , later known under the name In the Sky (only new lyrics , both japanese and english version) .

No problem there . Also some info just for ppl who would look around for the tracks you posted , i dont know if you can find Crossfatih's "Omen" on Punk Goes Pop cds , never saw it there it was on their 2nd album , Silhouette from the Skylit "California Gurls" i think it was one of the Punk goes Pop cds but i dont know wich one and dont know if its possible to get japanese edition , but it was also on their first album Arche . Just thought i point this out cause you posted them as Punk Goes Pop . Also here is the crossfade preview of all the songs from PUNK GOES 90'S Vol.2 - JAPAN EDITION Best tracks are Nookie , Guerrilla Radio , Pretty Fly (just cause its Her Name in Blood who do the cover) and Arounf The World , honorable mention for I dont want to miss a thing and Falling away from me .

Ive already posted Maniac by Plasticzooms .
  23. kurenaishineek

O yeah i forgot that there was also a Nirvana Tribute album . Japanese Ska Punk and Pop Punk bands also do a lot of covers . Here are some examples . The band that from what i remember did the most amount of covers would be Nicotine , especially known for two albums , one was punk rock covers of xmas songs , the other one was the punk rock beetles covers . Here is "Let it Be" covered by Nicotine And Wham's "Last Christmas" by Nicotine

Look around for Avril Lavigne and Metallica tribute albums Metal-Ikka and Tribute to Avril Lavigne ~Master's Collection~ , also Punk Goes Pop especially volume 5 that has a full japanese edition cd . Here are some selected songs from those albums . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rpnYyTZLdS0 They did and awesome cover of "Enter Sandman" Also the Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra does some covers , one of their best was for The Godfather song . Maniac by Plasticzooms If you ask me , this is better than the original .

Not really , if you do a stream 24/7 , no matter if archived or not , its still higly possible they get on to you . From what i saw closed community podcasts are the safest , cause instead uploading them to podcasting sites you upload them on sites like mega or mediafire , and post the links only on one community in a registered users section only . Status of my recording of the demo podcast as of now is rather unknown , have problems with my microphone , also the last time i did something like this was 3 years ago so im getting a little stressed and shy , especially thanks to my totally bad english pronunciation , when i heard what im saying i really get a felling of listening to engrish . Ive already picked up some songs of rather unknown japanese bands and had some idea for some stuff to be said , the demo was supposed to be 30 minutes and i wanted to record it in one go cause im feeling better doing it this way . But in the end i always make some mistakes after 5 minutes and end up stopping the recording , also stereo mix is fuked up on this laptop , so im gonna think of some better way to do this .
