  1. So my band are looking for acoustic songs to cover, we've worked out a deal where he can do the songs he likes and I can do jrock, it doesn't matter if the song is well known or not for acoustic, we'll probably re arrange it for guitar, so some song suggestions would be really nice so far we've got Makka no Ito (Pura) Blurry eyes or glamorous sky (I know larc don't do both) Possibly Spica So any idea's? (please no gazette)

I've been playing this on repeat since I got it and overall, it's not his best work but it's a lot better than whats my name without straying too much from what his general sound is. The electronic artists who feature on this though, don't seem to do much, they don't sound like parts of the song, just a few added effects during final production. It's by no means amazing, but I think he's on the track to writing better music again. Ganyru-2/5 This is just an intro track, but the start of it is terrible and annoying, the drums are nice but Hifana doesn't much, god knows what was going through his head when he decided to repeat a distorted scream. Strong-4/5 I liked the single and nothing has really changed, funky guitar wok without the song becoming overly complex, I've heard a lot that people don't like Kreva's parts but I don't have a problem with them, his voice is a bit boring but it has a nice flow. Not much vocals from myv on this track, but what he does is enough to make the chorus catchy Day 2/5 Not big on this at all, it's not a bad song but the intro sounds muddy and the guitar playing is way too similar to his other stuff, the vocal effect annoys me and the song never really goes anywhere, Yuksek doesn't seem to do much and it makes you wonder how much work they did on this. Silent Anger-3/5 really nice vocals on this, the lyrics are pretty generic but there are some nice effects in the song. The piano in the pre chorus stands out, but this isn't the sort of song you'd listen to twice, it tries to go for an epic effect but there's just not enough to it. After a while the slap guitar gets annoying and feels out of place. Pleasure-4/5 Upon first hearing this, I thought it was gonna be another 'money money chillin blues' or whatever it's name is, but the song is almost a duel between the guitar and piano. The chorus is smooth and catchy and both the guitar and piano really compliment each other, Miyavi's voice is a lot less raw which suits the song well. Definantly recommened this one! Ha Na Bi-4/5 Traditional influence in this but don't go thinking it sounds like 'japanese kabuki rock' frankly this is what the album should've sounded like. This is a very instrument driven song with a few nice changes and breaks, I'm not sure what the traditional instrument is but my only gripe would be that it's playing throughout almost the whole song, this is more of a personal gripe though. This doesn't fall too far from Miyavi's music tree but none the less a good song. 祈りを -4/5 Starts off the same way as moon, in fact just from the intro you'd probably think he's redone moon. It's a nice calming song with some good harmonies between Myv and Miu. There's not much I can say about this, it's the standard soft ballad song but the guitar does play some nice stuff, gives me a really christmasy feeling. There's nothing that interesting in the song though, nothing that will make you think 'wow'.

6 vocalists, 3 drummers but only 2 guitarists? still sounds interesting

Just found out yesterday they have an app for iphone! (possibly ipod) It's not that amazing but there's things like discography, news, fan mail etc just your standard band app
  5. You might want to check MYV pops, it's got a lot of his hit songs, some acoustic stuff and some band styled stuff, he tries out a few different genres too!
  6. Manabu

Some of this is really good and has a lot of potential! are you writing drums in midi? I'd suggest using something like ezdrummer! (if you don't want to pay there might be a torrent around) The vk influences are definantly there but it all sounds very nice, like the other posters my only gripe is the drums also strangely sweet, without sounding too mean you need to work on the transition, either slow the intro down or speed up (I'm guessing it's the verse?) Other than that, keep at it!
  7. Well I don't post much (I don't have the funds to buy much jrock stuff) but I spend a lot of time tabbing and writing music, anyway I decided to do a couple of covers (They're voiceless, I'd rather not butcher them with my awful singing) Ok so the youtube tags won't work :@ :@ :@ (can anyone help? I can't get them to work anywhere) LM.C-88 Miyavi- Onpu No Tegami and one of my originals Feedback is greatly appreciated! Please comment, like, share, subscribe! and are there any songs people would like me to do? (STRICTLY NO GAZETTE)
  8. It's ok, the chorus sounds...silly and what happened at 2.53? that voice single handedly ruins the song
  9. Manabu

Thank you very much! did they release any more than that 1 song or did they go the way of s.k.i.n?
  10. Manabu

What's the name of the supergroup Hiroto (a9) and the mucc singer were in? I really liked one of their songs but I lost it when I restored my laptop
  11. Manabu

Hitsugi is pretty small too! I think he's around 5,3
  12. Manabu

Heh, I play guitar in my band and I'm 167cm Also ryu from pura is only 5,6
  13. Acceleration- Not an amazing song by any means, the synth is catchy and the song works well as an opener, the outro ruins the song for me but overall I'd give it a few more listens purely because of the main melody Crossover- Sounds a bit messy but I love the whole siren sounding synth line, the bass break and the new techniques from the vocalist, hate the breakdowns, would probably mix them out if the vocals weren't so good in it. No singing at all which is a bit dissapointing but they wanted to try new things and I can't blame them for that Scream Hard as You Can: Without a doubt one of the best songs on the album. Nice to hear a keyboard solo and a song that balances the harsh and clean (hehe) vocals well. This song much like crossover shows that the harsh vocalist is trying more techniques and they work well. The bridge to the dance/techno part seems a little awkward and misplaced but one of their best songs without doubt. How Old You are Never Forget Your Dream- Starts off a bit boring but it's decent, I'm not sure how many times I'd listen to this, the guitar doesn't sound right when it comes around the 1 minute work and the screaming over the slow calm parts is just annoying. None the less it builds up well and it's a decent sort of ballad song Interlude 1- There's not that much to say about this, it's catchy and sounds a lot different to their other interludes and it seems as though falilv have move towards to using more piano. My only grip is the bridge with the drums, in my opinion it's out of place and comes in out of nowhere. Just Awake- I wasn't going to review the singles but I've already done shayc. This is just a basic falilv song, the kind of song you'd show to a first time listener, nothing stands out, catchy and it sums up their music well, best part of the song is probably the outro Defeat and Beat- Wow! Definantly trying a lot of new things with this album, sweet bass and drum start, guitar playing counter melodies to the synth and for once it seems like there's a song where each instrument is doing something interesting, has quite an army march sound and some almost power metal sounding parts. I find this their most interesting song just because of the structure, one of the best songs on the album In the end, the Choice is All Yours- Starts off with a generic metalcore riff, synth comes in playing a megaman sounding riff, the sort of thing you'd expect from falilv. These bad bridges seem to be a bit of a recurring theme sound in this album, the song has good parts but some of them just don't suit it, that accordian is just annoying and well, just sounds silly, almost as if they put it in as a joke. The song has some redeeming qualities, a nice synth line around 2.30 which turns into an even better one and some epic harsh vocals, just not structured well. Ley-Line- Funky club sounding intro and synths, it's just predictable, you know what will go next, even with some of the diverse lines they've put, you still know where it's going. Another silly sounding song too, hate those harsh vocals in the breakdown. Not sure if I'd listen to it again, seems like the song that would grow on you. Can't hear much guitar in this either, it's either too quiet or not doing much. Interlude 2- Sounds like there's a bit of traditional japanese music in here, it's just an interlude so I won't spend too much time on it but yeah it has the whole bridge problem, the effects on the vocals get annoying too. Don't Suffer Alone- Final stage in SSBM anyone? or any epic boss battle stage for that matter, epic sounding intro ruined by a drum bridge, I can't say the rest of the song is as epic but it's catchy, guitar does some interesting stuff and the synth and guitar compliment each other nicely. I guess you would call it breakdown, really dislike it but the vocals are quite original and there's a nice little piano bit. Outro is pretty cool though. Hmmm so to sum it up, this a lot better than nextreme but that's not that surprising. They've definantly tried to experiment more on this album, some of it works really well but some of if it doesn't. They've managed to retain their original sound which can be heard in some songs and they've definantly progressed as musicians so because of that I'd say it's their best album yet, a bit of dance and scream style but plenty of new interesting stuff
  14. Manabu

Not sure on Crossover. I like that harsh vocalist is trying new techniques and most of the song is pretty good but I can't say much for the breakdown, just seems awkward
  15. Manabu

Music like Juliette please? maybe some better vocals
  16. Manabu

Cool did you like the SHAZNA song? Get the すみれ September Love song on the GOLD SUN AND SLIVER MOON album that is the best version of the song. Oh i am from Yorkshire been quite chilly today. People are saying summer is going to be in August? We shall see. Yes! An odd video to say to the least but it's a catchy song! Ah I hope so, it's close to my birthday. It's looking cloudy today :/
  17. Manabu

Thanks everyone! Playlist is sounding pretty good, I just wish the sun was still around! What part of england do you live in Pinkmakona
  18. Manabu

I haven't been up to date with dir en grey for years, will this be a movie or just shots of gigs with interviews?
  20. Manabu

I like them a lot but this is taking engrish to a new extreme

An Lm.c shirt, I've been looking on ebay and google and can't find any except for custom made boring ones on zazzle, could anyone help me out? I'm not bothered about p and p but I need a site that delivers to the uk
  22. Manabu

I like to have a few run throughs the album before I give a track by track and champions league is on tonight so a full one will be up in a few days but as a quick one I'd give it 7/10 The album is by no means amazing but it's still a good album if you're an lm.c fan, they don't do anything groundbreaking and I found some of the choruses just lacking a certain something. My favourite tracks so far are game of life and goak-on-soul
  23. Manabu

I'm not really into metal. I know I should have an open mind but I'm fairly positive I wont enjoy it or I'll find it boring. The closest to metal I like is fear and loathing in las vegas and sunsgrind
  24. Manabu

ahh I quite liked this band, sad news
  25. Manabu

Pretty standard release from them, catchy but nothing amazing and I'm not sure which is the better track Just awake: Theres not really much to say about this track, it's their standard sound but shows they've perfected their style and whoever composes the synth pieces is a genius, I love the little jazz part and how the song throws out all sorts of different elements but manages to blend them well with each other. 2.25-2.40 sounds epic in my opinion but the only part that lets the song down is the part around 1.50 where they speed up a bit, the drums seem out of time and the synth makes it sound messy and clustered- 7/10 Break out your stained brown: I hate the intro to this just because it sounds so generic and like something metallica would release, though it gets a lot better when the synth comes in. This is definantly the heavier of the 2 and I suppose outlines the 2 genre's that this band jump between, You've either got the poppy dancy stuff with some screaming or the fast heavy guitar based tracks with a lot of screaming. The bit at 2.30 is just immense and sounds like a chrono trigger boss battle, which just gives this song a load more points 7/10 So yeah overall not a bad release, you know what to expect from these guys but you know they'll do it well and maybe throw in a few new/unexpected pieces into songs
