Great way to start the new year :/ really hope they don't go on hiatus again
  2. Manabu

Mini album I'm pretty sure they did a world tour in 2012 or 2013 as well
  3. Manabu

I really hope that drum solo isn't on the album, Fact haven't been at their best for a while now so I'm hoping this album will change that
  4. Your bass playing is really good, or at least what you've composed on it is pretty good, it's funky but doesn't distract you from the song too much and the song itself is good, everyones posted about the few off notes so I won't go into that but I think the general mixing of it could be improved, the guitars tend to overpower the drums in some parts and speaking of the drums, whilst this might be down to the mixing, I think they could do with a bit more power, the snare and kick sound a bit empty So all in all a good song with some nice parts, I'm sure with a bit of tweaking it could be great

Some heavy instrumental stuff please! with a emphasis on guitar work, lots of solos and interesting parts would be good not looking for much more than that, I'd prefer faster stuff I hear touhou hits some of those boxes so if anyone could point me in a direction to tart that would be great

Whilst not the tackiest it's pretty bad, I mean, it just looks like no one could be bothered with it, so simple and boring and why the "ow that hurt"/"I DROPPED MY FLOWERS" face!?

Just a suggestion, if you plan on using effects or keyboard stuff you might find it cheaper and better to use something on a laptop like a daw, I'm sure you can get one for free http://www.reaper.fm/ You can then just free 'vst' which are sort of like synths for it, I recommened 'synth1'

Awful news :/ heard these guys 2 days ago and the thing that really stood out were his vocals :/

I wasn't expecting much from this, the previews didn't fill me with hope but Miyavi is interesting and I trusted there would be 1 or 2 hidden gems. Although I can't say they were 'gems', just the decent songs. The vocal effects really put me off the whole thing, I can understand if he's using it to cut out/down on some bad english, or to enhance the english parts he does well but it's just... overpowering, too produced, it sounds too unnatural. Chase it, though sounding like the music for a sci fi stage in a racing game (not just because of the name) for me is one of the stand out songs of the album, electro garage rock I guess, the shouting seems to come out of nowhere and is too loud but the song is alright, it's interesting with some nice guitar parts but suffers from more vocal effects. A lot of the songs are just boring, too predictable or similar. There are nearly always funk styled riffs and with all of the electro stuff he was doing I'm surprised he didn't do something more interesting on guitar. Horizon sums up the album pretty well, it doesn't go anywhere other than a bland predictable cheesy radio friendly chorus and sounds like the boyband stuff you hear on the radio. Sure there are funky and random guitar parts but a lot of them are similar and that's not enough to save the album. A lot of people have been saying it's intended for radio play and frankly it does that great, most of the songs I can picture being played on main radio stations but that's the problem too. I can't say whether this will alienate his fans because with his ever changing style it's hard not to get alienated. I'm still a fan and appreciate all of the hard work he's done, whilst in my opinion it's his worst album at least he tried something new.

Not bad but nothing amazing, I'd prefer him to play a style similar to dear my friend, but I imagine he's long done with that

zjbjpn Games: Fifa Tekken 6 Soul calibur 5 Getting some pokemon games soon for my ds, anyone still play?
  12. Manabu

I think it's time for him to ditch this style, he most probably won't but the songs are boring and too similar I loved that he experimented so much but this stuff really isn't his best work, or close to it

Really looking forward to hearing Heidi, but I can imagine they're going to play it safe and not change much

Old Gazette-New Gazette HAHAHAHA, but really Alice nine's Kiseki (from the mirrorball single) has almost the exact same opening riff as Blink 182's dysentry Gary Edit: Listening to both of these, despite copying the riff Alice nine have done a lot better with it

Picked up Silent Hill 2 and Resi 4 for £2, goodbye remnants of my social life

When bands claim they'll break up unless they make a certain number of ticket sales

Battle Royale, past 2 times I watched it I liked it so much I didn't give great attention to the acting, watching it the 3rd time I realised Fujiwara (Shuya) isn't that good in it, he's pretty good when his friends die but he has one other emotion and it's the whole 'whispery "I'll protect you"' but then again, I wasn't expecting a variety of emotions in the movie

Daybreak: For me the song is such a mixed bag, it's far from awful but I just can't stand the intro/slower stripped down parts, it works with the whole song and builds up nicely but I just dislike the sound of it, the chorus is nice and catchy but too predictable and the song doesn't really seem to go anywhere, like most songs the standout part is the chorus but there just wasn't a part that made me go "wow" so overall I'd say it's a decent song, nothing amazing but it's no disaster. 秘密: I might have an unpopular opinion here because I honestly feel this should've been the single! There's a lot going on in the song but it doesn't sound muddled or clustered, it's one of their most poppiest songs but they pull it off nicely, a guitar solo that isn't silly shredding, jazzy and funky parts, nice vocals, I really haven't been big on alice nine lately (Gemini was hit and miss, strongly disliked 9) but this song brought back some faith in them Finally, if you're an alice nine fan then you've probably heard the bonus live songs (maybe not live but at least the studio recording) so I'm not going to bother with them but overall- 4/5, would've been lower but 秘密 REALLY saved them

^^ pretty much all that guitar pro can be a bit confusing at first so read the manual fl studio is good to give people an idea of what it'll sound like live, it's cluttered but I'd say it's fairly user friendly you could try mixcraft too, it doesn't look anything amazing but it's still good, though that and fl studio are DAW

This is me, as a mexican
  23. Manabu

I like it! You've got a very calm and soothing voice, which suits the song really well Have you tried anything like 'dear my friend' or 'aishiteru (can't remember the rest of the title)' I think you'd do really well on the latter Also, are you on the jrock tabs livejournal? I'm sure I saw this on there!

Which asian kung fu generation album should I check out? I really like loop and loop, kimi no mache made, sindou kaku so a style similar to those would be appreciated Thanks! I'm glad this was answered so quickly, plus I finally have a cd to buy for myself!
