  1. Never heard either so I'm going by the 2 samples provided from each

    The Black Swan:

Pretty much nothing new, the guitarists do a good job of showing off and playing some complex stuff that works in the song and doesn't distract but the vocalist and standard neo sound lets it down, I've never heard Nega but it seems Jin can't really get either right, clean or harsh vocals. Whilst this may be down to the production and mixing both songs sound quite empty

    Kamomekamome:

Whilst the music doesn't stray much from the standard 'hardcore' sound they still provide some interesting parts, the twin vocals work really well and although the vocalist may on occasion be a bit flat his vocals are decent as well as the songs being pretty catchy!

With that in mind, my vote goes from Kamomekamome, these band battles are so much fun! Lets hope for some more interesting battles CAT5

  2.

Don't know whats up with the dragon ball super stills. What do they not have the budget for it or something? Or could it be that the project was rushed, which I'm founding out is a common thing in japanese anime/film. Mostly film.

From what I've read and seen Super was quite good in the first 4 episodes, given that a major complaint on episode 5 (bar the poor animation) was that it just went over a lot of stuff that already happened I'm guessing they're already starting the filler lol

I also completely agree with Another, I also like how the gore is done, I find a lot of anime show before and after (danganronpa) whilst Another tends to give you before, now and after

  3. Recently finished:

Howls moving castle- Still not getting the Ghibli hype and I found this so poor, the animation and art is great but everything else was so lazy, nothing is explained, it just seemed like 'cuz it's magic' was their excuse for not explaining anything.

Magi: The labyrinth of magic It was ok, I liked the setting as well the struggles of those in poverty but the characters were pretty generic, is it worth watching the second season?

D-Frag (rewatch)- Still fantastic and still just as funny, didn't get really serious or lose it's comedy like a lot of recent comedy anime's do

    Watching:

Mushishi- Beautiful art and enjoying the episodic style as well as the depth to all the spirits

Gangsta.- LOVING THIS! They're pretty much doing everything right with this, flashbacks are well done with good timing and length as well as filling in the blanks, nice animation as well as a gritty feel to it, every episode leaves me wanting more

  4. Chrono Trigger (DS)...

It's probably a bad rom or something wrong with my r4 but my game always froze during the first time you time travel, I'm stuck playing it on the snes, either way it's a great game and a fantastic choice!

I spent a good 2 hours getting every ending on 'the uncle who works at Nintendo' and now I'm on Persona 3 Portable

  5. I was just wondering that too. Seems like they've steadily changed directions since he departed. Not sure if one effected the other or not, but still an interesting coincidence.

They're an interesting band in terms of formation, looking at the studio videos they released, the guitarist that replaced Sho doesn't seem to record any guitar (it could've all been off screen but I can't imagine why they wouldn't show it)

  6. Ugh. What happened to them and Before My Life Fails. Disappointed.

HNIB debut album was so amazing...

Even saints have misunderstandings and mistakes is still one of their best songs, direct solaris is a step in the right direction though

Anyway, the sample sounds pretty boring, seems they've got kinda downhill since sho (?) left
