Kind of ended up really liking That's the Spirit but it's not able to make me forget about Sempiternal. I'm fairly sure they'll never be able to surpass the greatness of that album for me. Fave tracks are Run, Throne, and Drown though.

Been with them since they released their first album (was also around the time I saw them live for the first time) but I've never cared much for Count Your Blessings. I guess it was a fine album live, back when he could still do it live, but to listen to it's just a mess.

I can get the idea that people want them to go back to their older self but to ask for another Count Your Blessings while the gap in music style hasn't ever been bigger just comes over as a little child demanding its sweets to be from one specific store which has gone bankrupt years back. The whining won't stop and they'll never be satisfied either. Just move on.

Either way, got my tickets for their upcoming show here and considering it's been a few years since I've been able to see them live, I'm curious.

Totally besides the point but... Belgium!

I personally think diamond is awesome and one of the better more realistic sports shows I've seen the past few years, it's also very informative and if you already are a baseball fan it should be right up your alley. Even if you're not into baseball that much the show still has a lot to offer though, and I personally recommend it to people who are looking for a really good sports anime with lots of character development.

That feel when you read something really fucking stupid and you go "Who's this douche... Oh it's me from four years ago".

Very disappointing to see how they went straight to the alt rock deep end with this album. Sempiternal seemed like the rare occurrence of a band that's in the verge of totally selling out to find a comfort zone that made almost everyone happy. I'm no musical reactionary by any means and my suggestion for them wouldn't have been to "play that heavy shit" again, but there most certainly were other places to take that sound they got than just straight up 2015 BMTH plays: Linkin Park.
There are moments in'ere when I'll be able to zone out and dig songs like Oh No, Drown and Doomed... But fucking hell when when something like Blasphemy comes up and I can just feel my spine cracking from the chills because it's just so fucking lame.

Nevertheless the first two are quintessential scene classics beyond reproach, monuments of an age gone by, and there'll never be a time when I'm drunk and can't lose my mind to Pray For Plagues. As long as Chelsea Smile stays in the set I'll be seeing them live again in November.

I absolutely love the Tokyo Ghoul manga but the anime is pretty bad in comparison.

I have the same strange thing with K. Though I'm totally here for more Fushimi.

Parasyte was really good as a whole. Really enjoyed that one too.

Finished most of past season's anime now. Waiting for new ones to start and finishing some other on-hold ones in the meantime. Like Bokura ga Ita for instance. Getting mad over everyone being unreasonable but I guess that's a general definition for shoujo series so.

    Done with the following:

Arslan Senki... Good stuff but needs continuation.
Gangsta... You're seriously gonna end like that without a second season announcement?
God Eater... is now under Kekkai Sensen status.
Snow White with the Red Hair... Very good relaxing shojo fantasy. Looking forward to season 2.
    Gate... Somewhat entertaining.

Can't say I'm surprised though I am a little sad that they're being mixed up with bands like SWS, ATL, etc. But that's only me being a little bitter about their future fans. :/

Classroom Crisis had such a boring start but really picked up after that. The politics and manipulation behind the scenes of companies makes it so that no one ever really wins and it's a constant pull and push and questions of "who's going to end up being the winner after all of this?" It's been weeks since the story was mainly about that which it showed at the start. It is Kiryuu's story now, and wow did they mess with that kid's life (and not just his apparently). Two more episodes to go and I'm really curious how it's going to end. It's not popular enough for a second season, but at the same time I wouldn't mind one if it would go on as it does now.

Chaos Dragon is so bad. So so bad.

Still liking Arslan Senki quite a bit though I am wondering what they're going to show for the last 4 episodes and how they're going to deal with the kid that is Hermes. Still sad over Gieve though, even though I know it's "for the best" one way or another.

There is no way Shokugeki no Souma isn't getting a second season.

According to Last.fm going down, I should back up fun facts I wrote about Girugamesh here.
Some of you may have read it already from my group there.

    GIRUGAMEME
    - Every Girugamesh release until "volcano" was always written "Very special Thanks to : 蜉蝣 (Kagerou)" or something similar on the credit page.
    - If you're listening to 不純愛(L), it will show up as 不純愛♥ with a big red heart on MSN. Not sure if it's the band's intention.
    - The song "Bombshell" by Powerman 5000 had been often used as the opening song of their live concerts in 2004-2006.
    - The bassline in Sel'm's オリエンタルリリー sounds very similar to ミッドナイト at the intro.
    - The correct romanization for the song 枯咲き歌 is "Karezaki Uta".
    - Sadie's 迷彩 (meisai) and Girugamesh's 【獄】 (Goku) have the same intro. (Goku was released first.)
    - 拒絶された机 (kyosetsu sareta tsukue) is the only song that's still unknown who composed it.
    - The shortest track ever is 男魂 (Otoko Tamashii) which is just 3 seconds length.
    - The live dist. DVD 千名阪ツアー配布DVD is one of their secret releases.
    - The speech "An Appeal to the Red Army" by Vladimir Lenin was used in 亡者ノ行進 (Mouja NO Koushin).
    - The single 零-ゼロ- (Rei-ZERO-) was sold in advance at the live concert on March 22, 2006 (which was also the date GLAMOROUS SKY was distributed).
    - The live dist. CD "jelato" had been rare for over two years until it was leaked in September 2006.
    - The live dist. CD ミッドナイト (MIDNIGHT) had been a secret release of theirs until it was discovered in 2006 and leaked in mid 2007.
    - 零-ゼロ- (Rei-ZERO-) was co-written by the two members of the band, Nii and Ryo.
    - DEATHGAZE's abyss PV was probably shot at the same location as 終わりと未来 (Owari to Mirai) PV. (Girugamesh was first.)
    - Their first oversea live was held at The Wiltern Theatre, Los Angeles on May 26, 2007 (J-Rock Revolution Festival day 2).
    - The lyrics on Reason of crying regular edition booklet are handwritten by Satoshi.
    - The self-titled album "Girugamesh" was released on Shuu's 23rd birthday (December 26, 2007).
    - ROCKER'S from the limited edition is sightly different from the regular one at the end of the song.
    - The song "stupid" doesn't have lyrics written on the booklet.
    - The Girugamesh logo on MUSIC CD looks similar to Metallica's.
    - Mariko Goto (ミドリ Vo.) is the guest chorus in the song evolution.
    - No even a single or an old song included in the self-titled album and MUSIC.
    - From the album MUSIC onwards, the whole band has been given credits together as the music composers on the booklets.
    - If you don't know this guy, you're not a die hard Girugamesh fan.
    - ALIVE was the first single in 3 years since 2006.
    - They used the photo of a 5 year old boy as NOW album art which referred to the years that the band had been active so far at that time. (And also their mental age? XD)
    - NuTz (Fly Sleep Fly Vo.) is the guest chorus in the song BEAST.
    - In DIRTY STORY PV, Satoshi sings "I wanna be a sincere man, SAY!!" which sightly differs from the audio track on CD.
    - In July 2010, tons of the people on Last.fm were fooled by the fake song the foolish mindcore. (Me included.)
    - The title of the album GO could also refer to their fifth album. (Go = 5 in Japanese)
    - The previous singles, COLOR and Inochi no Ki, included in GO were left untouched unlike the ones in their other studio albums which were at least re-recorded.
    - ShuU is the collaborating bassist in the song 翻弄(Honrou) on Daisuke's last album.
    - They released a song titled "pray" as a charity song via iTunes Store on April 13, 2011 to help the tsunami victims.
    - On October 19, 2011, their OHP had become a blank page with the number 13. Later, it was revealed on October 23, 2011. (Which was the announcement about their new tour and a new live DVD to be released in February 2012.)
    - Satoshi is the guest vocalist as the screamer in the song No Reason in the Pit by ROACH. More info
    - They had a song tribute to Tatsurou (ムック) called たたたつろー!!. It later became 絶頂BANG!! with alternate lyrics.
    - 斬鉄拳 (zantetsuken) released in 2012 was a one-type single in ages since 零-ゼロ- in 2006.
    - In late 2012, the band had paused all activities and stayed quiet for almost a year in order to focus on practicing to improve their musical skills, and they made a comeback on July 22, 2013 (Which was also Nii's 29th birthday.)
    - Satoshi joined another band named REDMAN as the vocalist in late 2013.
    - If you order the album titles they have released so far, it's gonna be "Girugamesh MUSIC NOW GO MONSTER".
    - They had two distinct songs with the same title: Intro. One is from the self-titled album, and the other is from MONSTER.
    - On February 20, 2014, Nii and Ryo opened a joint Twitter account, and Ryo clarified that they both were actual blood-related brothers. This was kind of a big shock to all Girugamesh fans. It had been 10 years they kept it a secret.
    - The LIVE BEST tracklist order resembles a setlist they could have played live.
    - gravitation was the first one-typed album ever.
    - They had a live distributed album containing 25 pre-13's reborn songs (2 CDs) titled "CORE BEST" released on October 11, 2014. This was the first live distributed CD in over 8 years since Omae ni Sasageru Minikui Koe in 2006.
    - In May 2015, Shuu joined the band named KEEL as the bassist.
    - 2015 was the first year the band had no releases.
    - On May 2, 2016, they announced their disbandment ending their 12-year music career, and the last live would be held at Zepp DiverCity on July 10, 2016. (BORN and SCREW also disbanded on the same day. Coincidentally, it was on hide's 18th death day. )
    - 希望ト夜 (Kibou to Yoru) by グリーヴァ is a 【獄窓】 (Gokusou) rip off.
    - ラストダンス (Last Dance) by ザアザア (Xaa-Xaa) is a Dance Rock Night rip off.
    - Their last song titled "period" was distributed at the last live and available to purchase online later on; unfortunately, it was never played live.
    - There is a small typo on the last live DVD booklet. 縁enishi became 緑enishi which the latter is read "midori". lol

Don't know whats up with the dragon ball super stills. What do they not have the budget for it or something? Or could it be that the project was rushed, which I'm founding out is a common thing in japanese anime/film. Mostly film.

So i recently discovered crunchyroll and totally went on some anime binges.

Another  - This is probably one of the best japanese horror/mystery animes i have seen. I can't help but think it might have something to do because it was based on a well received Japanese novel.I don't even want to write a summary because I don't want to give anything away. In any case I love how addicting this thing is. It leaves you wanting more, wanting to find out what, why and who.

Again, I don't know want to say much because I don't want to give away spoilers, but there's a couple of well executed twists. And although i wouldn't really call it a horror anime, it has a very spooky and drab atmosphere and lots and lots of death. The first one was extremely gruesome.  And for once, this a 12 episode anime that actually manages to end without feeling rushed or incomplete. Recommended.

BTOOM - The plot for this had me intrigued. Basically your NEET type anime guy is sent to a island to play a popular online game for real in a deathmatch against others. There are some familiar concepts in this anime but I'm glad they made those concepts their own. You actually learn to care about the main characters and they have decent backstories. The animation and style is also very good. In a lot of ways this show reminded me of an anime version of battle royale, which isn't  a bad thing imo. My only two main gripes are its length, 12 episodes, and something in the actual anime that I can't really say because of spoilers, but I'll just say venom.

Your Lie In April  - And this just became one of my favorite animes of all time. The simple synopsis; a tragic/drama story about a young piano prodigy who stops playing after the death of his mother.  Let me just say there are SO MUCH FEELS in this show. If you think that summary i gave was tragic wait till you actually watch the anime. This a real tear jerker, pulling on your heart strings kind of anime. You would have to be a robot for this show to not evoke emotion out of you. On personal level I found this show to deeply resonate with me, because i was/am going to something similar(but not as tragic) as some of the concepts in this anime and I am violinist/pianist too.

The concepts of guilt, loss, love, depression and adolescence are explored and presented very well. The story is tragic but also has beautiful animation and music. Lots of classical pieces and musical duels. This is as much a drama piece as a musical one. If you're like everyone else, you'll probably be looking up classical music or wanting to go play violin or piano by the time the show ends. Highly recommended. Just be aware, the feels is strong in this one. Be prepared to hold back tears.

I agree wholeheartedly with everything. I'm actually finding this season very disappointing, although I think I've gotten more demanding in my anime within the last year. I was about to drop God Eater because of the similarity between Attack on Titan / Black Bullet. I also avoided Overlord because it looks like another generic SAO-inspired shounen and ain't nobody got time fo' dat. On the other hand, I'm still watching Arslan Senki because of the story, because the animation is pretty bad. Almost Garo-levels of bad.

    Thanks for the explanation!

SNK is PR done right with just enough bait for different types of readers/watchers to stick. While the idea itself is rather typical, (I mean, how many "society threatened by other world creatures" things are there) it could always be done in a refreshing way. I don't mind Eren. I'm actually kind of okay with the main kids being a trio of childhood friends too. The only character I ever really cared for was Levi, and I'm actually kind of sad he wasn't the lead of the anime. Even just the ova with him for a main is a dozen times more interesting than the actual anime will ever be able to be.

From the moment they revealed they were planning to make a live action I've basically taken it as a big elaborate joke. Then the actors were revealed + the new characters and the ones that were axed from the story. After learning earlier this week how much they changed about the characters, I'm 100% sure it will be a joke. Yeah sure, it'll be impressive to see if the CG's done well, but the story as a whole lost a lot of its already thin worth. I guess the joke's on me though, because one of my fave actors got cast in it. He would have been the perfect Levi if they'd actually bothered writing Levi in the script (but no, their actual reason for him not being in it is "his name is not Japanese so it would be off in the Japanese setting of the movie" because I'm sure Armin, Eren, Hans, etc are all Japanese...)
