Modern day Sherlock Holmes? umm.... sorry but no thank you. I'm sure it's great and all, but I'm not a very big fan of the whole "modernization" thing some movies and tv shows have been doing lately... I just don't get why they have to try and reinvent some things by taking it out of it's time period and then setting it in current times or a modern setting... If this show was actually set in the late 1800's like the authentic Sherlock Holmes I would probably be all over it, since I'm actually a really big Holmes fan, but it's not and I can just see myself finding things to hate about this show if i did watch it for that same exact reason. btw this is just my opinion. I haven't seen a single bit of this show, so I can't really say much about it other than what I already know :/

Five days in, and I'm still not having any issues with my PS4. I think it's safe to assume I got one of the "good" consoles, also I haven't had any psn server issues since the first night so that's great btw just gotta say Killzone looks so fucking beautiful on this console, I'm just really impressed with visuals.

Yeah I've heard about the psn server issues, but you know that's to be expected... I mean there was over a million preorders in the United States, that's a lot of people trying to login to Sony's servers so yeah. What's funny is that I didn't have not one bit of trouble logging in to my psn account... while my brother (who also got one) couldn't login for a while which doesn't really make much sense because we're connected to the same internet and was both trying around the same time.

^ While that may be true, you have to keep in mind that consoles still need early adopters to be able to strive and make it to that 2nd generation... so i really don't mind going ahead and opting in to the next gen btw I got mine in the mail about an hour ago, and it is glorious, no problem so far

yeah waiting for mine to get here in the mail right now, I'm pretty stoked. I've been hearing a lot of good things about the console too, so that's awesome. Yeah the cross-play stuff with the vita is gonna be awesome, and it finally gives me a reason to use my vita.. lol

^ I can absolutely guarantee you will not be disappointed with Zetsuen no Tempest if you stick it out. Its a pretty amazing show, definitely a sleeper hit from the last few years. XD I know it's a lot but I just couldn't help myself this season... I usually don't watch this many at once, usually it's maybe half of what I'm watching currently.. maybe a little less. Ah oh well I'm not doing anything else, might as well spend my free time watching anime btw started watching Gingitsune and my impression so far is pretty good, six episodes in and I think it's actually a rather cute anime.. don't really know if there's going to be anything significant story or plot wise but hey I get the impression that it's supposed to be one of those slice of life, growing of age, heart warming type of stories, so plot isn't as important in that case.

here's the new version of JAM V.1.1 pretty neat. I like the new blue color scheme and being able to actually resize the window has mad it look a whole lot better on my monitor

Aoki Hagane no Arpeggio: Ars Nova - (this show is just done really good, and plus it also has a neat setting) Blazblue: Alter Memory - (fan of the game, not much to say otherwise) Coppelion - (one of the sparkling gems from this season imo, also i love post apocalyptic shows) Diamond no Ace - (baseball anime done right, and most importantly realistically) Galilei Donna - (haven't Started watching yet) Gifuu Doudou!!: Kanetsugu to Keiji - (this is actually from last season but is still airing, really good show though. I'm a sucker for historical anime xD) Gingitsune - (haven't started watching yet) Golden Time - (I don't really know why I like this show as much as i do, but it's amazing to me. Really good love story it seems and it deals with a lot of serious issues.) Gundam Build Fighters - (I actually don't hate this as much as i thought i was going to... it's definitely different from any other gundam show but that's what makes me like it) Hajime no Ippo: Rising - (Amazing as always, love it) IS: Infinite Stratos 2 - (I watch this pretty much for the boobies XD Ichika is one lucky bastard) Kakumeiki Valvrave 2nd Season - (Still think this is a pretty decent mecha anime...) Kill la Kill - (Good lord this show is awesome, everything from the artstyle which is reminiscent of Guren Lagan and the characters are great.. lots of laughs too and great action) Kingdom 2 - (another show from last season that is still airing, historical anime, I'm a sucker, yeah you got it ) Kuroko no Basket 2nd Season - (Just really stupid this one is... but I can't really stop watching even though i know its crazy basketball "technique" shit.) Kyoukai no Kanata - (another really decent one, the animation in this show is especially note worthy) Kyousou Giga - (another favorite from this season, it's just good go watch it. you won't be let down i guarantee) Little Busters! lol at people still thinking that the comic is relevant at all when it comes to the show XD It's been like that from the start of season one, almost nothing happens the same way. This last episode was pretty good, absolutely loved Scott Wilson's (Hershel) performance, It really hit me in a good way. This was definitely the episode for his acting to shine. Also the little father son moment that rick and Carl had when they were mowing down walkers with AR's... I couldn't help but to smile at that moment. I think Rick is starting to realize that Carl isn't a kid anymore and that he can seriously help out in the group in as major way than just "babysitting" and that his kid is a serious bad ass xD

So yeah the manga is getting extremely good! I can't wait to see the current arc animated The anime has also been hitting those really good episodes lately... when I saw Luffy punch out Caesar and send him flying and the rage displayed by Luffy.... it was fucking so good. Also the last two episodes were amazing the entire thing between Monet and Donflamingo is just great. Just the way it seems they are portraying Donflamingo, making him seem more human and that his subordinates really care for him as much as Luffy's care for him... and the bit about them wanting to make him the pirate king, just omg such good feels going on in the last few episodes. The anime does a really good job of expressing those feels that are really hard to grasp when reading the manga, they're there but the intent is harder to understand imo.

Well yeah like the topic title says this the PS4 thread.. Discuss anything Sony PS4 related here. So who's getting one on launch? I decided to bite the bullet and plan to grab one at launch... This will be the first time I've ever bought a console on launch day, so I hope I don't end up regretting it (I doubt I will). What games is everybody planning on buying first? I plan on buying these with the console: Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag (didn't want to grab this on pc, well because it's a port so... yeah) Battlefield 4 (already have this on pc, but I'll be buying it on ps4 too because my little brother is also getting a ps4 at launch and I want to play this with him so...) Killzone Shadow Fall (now this is the game I'm most looking forward to, Out of the entire launch line up this is the one that fits the word "next-gen" the best... First party and only available on this hardware, I expect good things) I also might grab the new need for speed maybe... Only two more days to go!

For me that would be An Cafe's Magnya Carta .... I seriously for the love of god have no idea why I bought this album. The only possible explanation is I must have had shit taste way back in 2006... like seriously shitty. I was 13 and I thought Bou and Miku was kawaii... please gawd shoot me now

That guy is being extremely harsh (and imo sounds like he has a stick shoved up his arse xD)... The way he is meticulously picking the game apart I almost feel like he went into the game with the intent to shit on it completely... with no preconceived notion of even trying to like it at all. Is the game heavily scripted? Yes. Does the game use non-linear storytelling? Yes. But it is nowhere near as bad as he makes it out to be. I went into the game with a mindset of wanting to enjoy the characters and the storytelling, was I satisfied? Yes I was. The way the story is told through non-linear storytelling makes the plot very confusing leading up, but the more you play the more the missing pieces come into place and you start to see the bigger picture.. This guy has to be completely blinded by his disdain and his preconceived opinion of this game to not see the plot and story come together at the end. Yes it probably would have been better if the game had played out in order in a linear timeline, but I feel the main charm of the game was that it always kept you guessing about certain elements and events in the story instead of laying it all out on the table in chronological order. What I want to ask is if this guy thought the game was so bad and he literally didn't say one word of praise about anything during the whole review, why did he give it a 4/10? You'd think if someone thought the game was horrible and there was nothing good about it and to go as far as saying that it's not even a game and more like a movie and then going on to say that it blows as a movie too, they would give it a worse score than a 4/10... I personally would say the game is at least a 7/10 and I would recommend renting it until it goes down in price as I do believe for the amount of content the game presents it is not enough to warrant a sixty dollar price tag. Also this guy has to be smoking crack to not like the acting performances of Ellen Page and William Dafoe, to me that's the best part of this game along with the motion capture.

I had an amazing time, and I was able to reaffirm this feeling i had three years ago when i saw them live... and that is that they are definitely the best live band I've ever seen in concert. Just simply amazing, hands down the most intense performance I've ever witnessed in person. The energy in the venue was just breathtaking, almost like all the air had been sucked out of the room. also I was rather impressed with Dogoba, didn't even know who they were before last night but I will definitely be checking out some of there stuff now

I recently got around to setting up my Dark Souls prepare to die edition on pc (again) with the dsfix and a few other texture mods, finally got it running the way i want it too last night at 60 fps and no stuttering. Gonna probably play it all this week till the beta test for dark souls 2 this weekend
