Aside from Luzmelt, the only Starwave band I care about is Scarlet Valse, and that's because I liked them before they got signed. I liked Misaruka when Lin's guitarist was with them, but now they're kind of embarrassing. I suppose Suicide Ali had 2 songs I enjoyed.

I was diagnosed with type-1 diabetes earlier this month.

They probably have a series of singles and an album lined up since they just got signed. Interesting change of aesthetic.

Aliene were cool because of the weird and creepy vocals, imo. Musically, they weren't different from what a lot of groups on Matina and most of Key Party were doing, but they had a charm to them that make them distinctive. I liked their second album a lot too, but that isn't what most of the western fanbase remembers them for. Today, my appeal with Kyoka is that he's very accessible through social media. Kyohei from DAS:VASSER is like that as well--it's just cool to see something that seems really distant and enigmatic suddenly become tangible and personable. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I liked this first single. All three songs were very different, which was a concern I was having before hearing the full thing. They also handled the dual vocals well too, which I'm happy about since gimmicky lineups for vkei bands tend to crash and burn (2 vocalists, 3 guitarists, 2 bassists, dancers (????), etc). My ~wish~ for this band is that each single contains self-cover B-sides. I would love to hear this band remake "闇夜" and "Death Mother Love."

2nd best. The original Digimon World, in spite of it's glaring bugs, is my 2nd favorite vidja game of all time, which is why I'm really hoping Re:Digitize gets ported to the PS4 as well. It's a lot darker than I thought it would be (without giving away too many spoilers, there's a mission you do where people sell "Perfect Girl Dolls" that are carbon copies of random teenaged girls you meet in-game, as an example) and borrows elements from .Hack's storyline if you're familiar with that. There are also times where it unexpectedly breaks the 4th wall, such as allusions to Pokemon and making fun of the main character for never having any real dialogue.

Personamon 4 er, I mean Digimon Cyber Sleuth

As I tried to say before this was officially published I liked this mini. There's something oddly nostalgic about them, but I don't mean to imply that they sound like a late-90's revival band at all. It's more of the feeling I got when I was first getting into vkei and listening to what UCP had to offer in 2007 (like CleariVeil and Mago). Thus far, they aren't really anything to write home about but they'll be nice to check in on from time to time.

Nega were gorgeous but Jin ruined everything about them for me.

Low-key hoping La'veil gets signed to Starwave so they are forced to release more than 4 songs in 4 years, with Setsuna becoming a real member.

Unless he's their main composer, losing a drummer isn't a huge deal. It's just odd that they are doing the same thing as Grieva with losing a drummer + releasing a collection album.
