Sorry I can't say I recall you, though your username does seem familiar. Anyway welcome back. It's good to see you found the forum again. And congrats on being your own boss and having your radio show. It's always been a fantasy of mine to start a radio show that plays rock or jrock where I live. Especially since all the radio station where I live (in NYC) play mainstream crap and there's only one mediocre rock station.

Raunchy is a metal band from Denmark, formed in 1994. They have released five studio albums, and are currently signed to Lifeforce Records. Kasper Thomsen - Harsh Vocals & Clean Vocals Lars Christensen - Guitar Jesper Andreas Tilsted - Guitar Jesper Kvist - Bass Jeppe Christensen - Keyboard, Clean Vocals Morten Toft Hansen - Drums Raunchy - A Heavy Burden dg4n8qyFJsA Raunchy - The Yeah Thing EmIpdZlOVzM I love this band. One of my favorite danish based metal bands. I always liked their unique sound and they haven't put out a album I didn't like. They perfected it with Wasteland Discotheque which was actually based on a book by T.S. Eliot. If you haven't heard of them it's a good place to start. They also did a neat cover of Rockwells Somebody's Watching Me. On Wasteland Discotheque everything flows seamlessly together. The dual guitars easily go from down-tuned fast paced rhythm sections to melodic moments, to catchy guitar riffs. The mixture of harsh vocals accompany the songs heavier moments when those double bass drums kick in and contrast well with the clean vocals. The melodies and choruses themselves are always catchy and blend elements of pop. The synths/keyboards are actually really well done. They add atmosphere, be it electronic, industrial, or disco without overpowering the rest of the music or making the band sound like another synth band. On their last album(A Discord Electric) they're pushing the electronic/pop elements of their music. A good example is Rumors Of Worship. It has their unique blend of metal but during the chorus it shifts into a hooky melody with electronic/laser like synths in the background. And there's a tad more death metal influence on that one then on wasteland. Though on the earlier albums the death metal influence was more prominent. On a Death Pop Romance their sound is actually more thrashy and raw. It sort of sounds like metalcore with a futuristic industrial tinge.

Same. A friend of mine bought their album after hearing that song and let me borrow it. I ripped it, gave it back and fell in love with their music after my first listen. It was easily the best album I had heard all year.

  11. Post how you found out about the forum. For me, exactly 4 years ago to this very day I joined the original tainted world on May 6th 2007. As I recall I found about it through some random link I came across on myspace. I actually joined to download the Gazette’s Stacked Rubbish only to find out it hadn't come out yet. I did stay for other awesome downloads and eventually became active in the forum.. I’ve never joined another forum or have been active on another as I have on this one. Not only does is it have awesome music but awesome people as well. Which is why I’ve always supported/stuck with this site through all the download wipeouts, Egyptian threads, times it went offline or became another version. It may have a different name now but it’s still the same great site. And as far as I can tell, its core community has more or less stayed the same.

Does sound awesome. However, I don't know any of the people you mentioned. Minus Saga. Which reminds me. I have to check out Alice Nine's new album. I read a whole bunch of positive reviews. Last dream I recall was not only random but pretty messed up. It involved cakes and sex. Neither of these things were on my mind before going to sleep yet I still dreamt about them. 8=>

^ That might have to do with the fact that they're music is influenced by British acts plus the fact that they were influenced by the NYC Post-Punk image scene like Interpol and The Bravery on their debut. I know they recently mentioned they're going to start the writing process of their 4th album in May, but they also mentioned they're going to take their time on it. They've been putting out albums every 2 years so I'm hoping there isn't this huge 5 year gap between Day and Age and thier next album.

I haven't heard BMTH's new album other than It Never Ends, but Morte Et Dabo is pretty sick. It's definitely one of the highlights of the new album and is a prime example of what this band is really good at. They can fuse different tempos and styles and transition flawlessly from one to another. It's a staple of their songs and adds interest and fun to their brutality. Hence why Morte Et Dabo has a whole bunch of things going on but its condensed. I'm actually disappointed this band just finished headlining a north American tour and came nowhere near where I was. They're on the warped tour but I'm still not sure if I'm going. They deserve more than a hour to play. There are songs I really want to hear live. Mort Et Dabo Breathless Closure A Lesson Never learned Nobody Don't Dance No More A Prophecy When Everyday's the Weekend Hey There Mr. Brooks A Candlelight dinner with Inamorta
  20. That's fucked up but probably has to do with airline security and all that. I'd have some sort of EMT on board trained to deal with different passenger medical emergencies. Heart attacks, strokes, seizures, births etc. But major airlines are way too cheap to do that.

I def need to check out the ocean then. Just bought Mastodon's live DVD - Live At The Aragon. It's got the entire performance of Crack The Skye plus a few others. They're working on their new album so I'm also excited about that.
