  1. I'm also currently doing my yearly re-watching of Genesis Climber Mospeada, Blue Comet SPT Layzner, and Rose of Versailles.

I do have Heavy Object, Concrete Revolutio, K: Return of Kings, and the current season of Fafner on my to watch list.  I'll probaby watch them during next season as there is like nothing I want to watch that's going to be starting up.

Since there's is like no series that I'm interested starting up next season, I'm going try to make myself watch every Sunrise TV anime series that Tomino Yoshiyuki directed.  Minus La Seine no Hoshi as I can't find a subbed version of the show.  The only bad thing about this is that I just finished Xabungle, plus I haven't ever finished Dunbine and L-Gaim.  However, it's a good excuse to re-watch Ideon for the 20th time.

Wow I expected anyone here to watch oldies such as Mospeada and SPT Layzner. Good stuff!

Good luck on watching all the Tomino shows. I think his shows are very hit or miss but definitely a director worth remembering and keeping an eye on. I still need to see Dumbine and Overman King Gainer. If you didn't know, Zambot 3 is where the nickname "Kill'em all Tomino" begins its fruition.

Just dropped $400 on one of these babies and my bottom and back has never been happier :D

I've been really thinking about getting that chair for quite some time. Is it comfortable for long hours? Does it change your sitting posture with that back support?

  3. CREED

Oh man, this movie broke me, emotionally. All the things I loved about the Rocky movies are here. Pretty much everything in this film was very well done. I honestly wasn't expecting much on the cinematography, but it's beautifully shot and those long one camera take scenes blew me away with its incredible choreographed fights. Since this is a very character driven movie, the performances are quite stellar and the drama depicted here spoke to me as real world struggles. Micheal B. Jordan nails it and this is without a doubt Stallone's best acting I've seen. Even the girl actor who plays Creed's love interest manages to hold up and not be the token annoying female character. There were plenty of tear jerking moments but the last half hour made me spill. Anyone who enjoyed Rocky films will appreciate this movie as it speaks nostalgia while keeping it fresh for the new generation audience. I do think this serves as a fitting conclusion to the franchise, but the movie does stand on its own paving its way for possible sequels (which I kinda don't want). Other than that, this is definitely my favorite movie of 2015 beating out Mad Max.... unless if the new Star Wars movie manages blow me away even more.

    Rating: 9.5/10

  4. Dropped the following shows:

Comet Lucifer - Too much moe pandering. So much time wasted on filler. The produce dancing scene had the most cringe worthy thing I've seen this year.

Concrete Revolutio - You're gonna have to make me high on some serious drugs to make me watch this acid trip.

Heavy Object - Dumbass indecisive pussy main lead. Too many facepalm moments on the common sense department.

    Alcatel ONETOUCH IDOL 3 5.5"

Bought this a week ago to replace my first gen Moto G LTE. For $250 unlocked budget smartphone with near premium specs, very lightly skinned stock android, and cool gimmicks such as dual front facing speakers, it sounded like a no brainer. However, I noticed glitches and bugs within phone that forced me to return it. Whenever I play music, the audio tends to glitch out for a millisecond after every min in both speakers AND headphones. Also, it seems the phone doesn't like to stick with the choices I pick within the developers option. But worst of all, it's stuck on android lollipop version 5.0.2 which tends to have memory leak problems and other bugs in the software. Their customer support was barely any help and when I found out the phone's next software update would be skipping version 5.1 and will update to marshmallow in the next 8 months, I was like UH NOPE! Even my Moto G is updated with the latest lollipop version, too bad motorola won't update this old phone to android marshmallow. Such a shame because I really wanted to like the Alcatel ONETOUCH IDOL 3. It had everything I ever wanted in a budget smartphone; 1080p display with vibrant colors, front facing stereo speakers, expandable storage, great battery life, thin & light, 2 gigs of RAM, decent enough camera, almost no bloatware, and THAT PRICE! Too bad off brand phone companies like this don't have a close relationship with google, meaning software updates are less likely. So yep, returned the phone. :(

Looks like I'll be sticking with my old Moto G.

Protip for those who are looking into pure stock android phones with consistent updates: Google and Motorola phones are the best bet.

I'm really thinking about going with the 2015 version of Moto G. The new Nexus phones have 2 or 3 major missing features that's preventing me to buy it.

  6. I don't pay attention to scores on IMDB, Rotten Tomatoes or any other side like that. Especially not to IMDB. It's complete shit IMO. So many ridiculous cores.

A couple of examples: The Dark Knight and Inception are higher rated than  One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Goodfellas and Seven Samurai.

Interstellar is higher rated than Spirited Away, Psycho and Raiders of the Lost Ark.

I don't see any problems with that. I haven't seen One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest or Goodfellas but I'll definitely take Dark Knight and Inception over Seven Samurai any day. I've never seen a movie so boring, poorly paced, and sleep inducing such as Seven Samurai.

As much as I enjoyed those 3 movies (well Psycho not as much), Interstellar moved me emotionally and found it more compelling than all 3 of those combined.

  7. After doing a little digging regarding why Gangsta ended up that way, here's what happened recently.

    http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2015-10-01/manglobe-anime-studio-files-for-bankruptcy/.93611

With that said, I still find this inexcusable. Look at Arslan Senki and Akatsuki no Yona. Those 2 have an actual end to the show in a middle of an overall (incomplete) story and yet, Gangsta doesn't have a single sense of a resolution. At least try Manglobe.
