^ And that's very good for them, I guess. If they want they do have a chance of hitting the west, unlike Deluhi, where Juri's voice was really... peculiar, let's say.
-
I prefer it this way. At least they are not trying hard to be dark and edgy like they did on their old days, they just assume they are doing it for the fun. They did do some good music back then, but lyric-wise and look-wise they were seriously trying too hard.
-
It's pretty funny how fast they've been releasing things, because I remember there was a time where they took some 2-3 years to release something. I liked No reason in the pit and the titles seem to follow the same style, I want to listen to it. They're probably one of the only metalcore bands I like.
-
I don't get all the whining, really. That price is only for the ULTRA-SUPER-EXTREME-LIMITED edition thing and that's because it has an almost entire show on it. It's essentially a new live DVD + the single and the Rinkaku recordings. The other versions have normal single prices.
-
Sounds somewhat shoegaze. Still awesome though, I think I'll preorder.
-
Yes, this really is symphonic power metal, but how come this is bad? On a scene where VK-like things actually means to play generic nu metal full of pseudo-brutality with melodic choruses that come out of nowhere symphonic power metal is pretty damn different.
-
I love it, even if it sounds a lot like a mix of some Rhapsody with the symphonic-ness of X Japan. I do prefer when the VK bands sound this way, at least it's different from your typical vk melodies.

The limited edition is actually part of "Goldfish" by Gustav Klimt.

Scream 4 Truth was Dir en Grey trying to be political in Japan and wanting the truth about the nuclear problem. Pretty sure the american management had nothing to do with it.There was no info or anything about Scream 4 truth on their japanese page, only that video. On japan there was no advertising about it or anything - here they created scream4truth.com and put ads on NY. And the scream4truth.com is more like a big ad "COME LISTEN TO DIR EN GREY'S MUSIC WITH MESSAGES AGAINST THE FUKUSHIMA PROBLEM" than actual awareness raising. If they actually cared about it I believe they'd have promoted it on Japan and during their subsequent tours... and nothing happened. Only their international FB page(which is managed by their US management) talks about this.
-
If there's anything that I've noticed for some time now is that their US management is absolute shit. From getting random tours with retarded bands(lol Asking Alexandria, at least it ended up not happening) to bad ways of advertising their stuff and also weird stuff like that Scream4truth thing.

^I don't think there's any big reveal. Just the artsy shit kyo enjoys doingI could definitely see that. And chances are you're probably right, but I just wonder...
Like doesn't Rinkaku mean outlines? I don't see what the TV has to do with anything haha, but whatever Kyo. Do you.
And @Relentless if the single is due out in winter, which is only a few months away, should production be more or less underway if not completed? Does anyone know if it's definitely winter in 2012? (This could be November/December) or winter in general which could mean anywhere between November this year and pretty much March of next year...
Yes, it's written Winter 2012. But I believe this is going to be released on mid-november or early december, considering the announcement date. They always announce single releases 3 months before or something like that

What has happened with me? Why did I actually enjoy the Ruki's screaming on that first sample? lol
Yoin and maybe Kago no Sanagi reminded me of Dim (though Yoin has some synth orchestra thing). Dripping Insanity and Kagefumi are somewhat different from their other ballads - I thought both were even poppier than their usual gazette-poppyness. Attitude and Gabriel on the gallows are the aggressive shit going on - both are somewhat ok (props to Attitude for being the only song that actually incorporated some dubstep thing on it, it's that teaser song). Required Malfuction is a girugamesh Music leftover. The outro is the best preview. Interesting to note that the album tracklist goes in a almost-mirrored form.
And I'm mad because this isn't a dubstep album

Can't wait for this one... sure going to pre-order. I wonder if Morrie is going to release a Morrie solo single after this, it seems highly probable after playing new songs on his solo show earlier this year.
-
I never got the autotune hate... when it's not used to make people that can't sing actually sing then I just don't have any oppositions. This one here is just like that Mucc song Shuushifu - it gives a robotic effect and that's it. I like it. And I generally am one of those gazette-bashers.
-
Damn, I missed Leda. The guitars are always completely awesome
-
I'm finding it better than the other Gazette typical single tracks, the guitar on this one is really good. I'm not expecting much originality from this pop side of the album but I guess I like it better than Toxic already. Let's see what waits for us on Division...
-
Finally some goatbed!! Missed this
-
That was pretty interesting. I didn't like it because it was hard - more because I thought the eletronics were really well-placed. I want more of this.
-
Interested. I wonder how much of their style they'll change now. It's already been 1 year since DSS...
-
I like the guitar on the song, but the overall typical Gazette melody structure is starting to get me bored easily.
-
I hope they follow Bible's style. That single was REALLY good!

I wonder... did they re-record Natsu no Hi? I want to listen to it!
